The holiday cottage offers comfortable and well presented accommodation and is ideal for exploring both the historic town of Skipton, the surrounding area and the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.

This is the third time we have stayed at the cottage.

This is the third time we have stayed at the cottage as it is so clean, comfortable and well equipped. The cottage is also off the main road behind a lovely coffee shop, hairdressers and new agents.
The shops are good and the market is on 4 days a week.
If you like freshly baked bread, cakes and tasty sandwiches then go to Watsons Bakery a few minutes up the road towards the town centre
There are lots of pubs and cafes to choose from and you can also book an afternoon tea on one of the canal boats.
Lots of surrounding places to visit such as Haworth, Harrogate and York.
A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday and would recommend Thisledo Cottage to anyone.

Thank you as well for sharing your recommendations with future guests. Skipton is home to several great bakeries, and a canal boat afternoon tea makes for a lovely, relaxing treat. We're also pleased you were able to enjoy exploring some of Yorkshire's wonderful destinations, including Haworth, Harrogate and York.

Lovely clean and well kept cottage

Lovely clean and well kept cottage, close to the town centre, parks and transport links around the Dales. Dog friendly, comfortable bed, warm and cosy and excellent communication from the host.

lovely well kept cottage, 4 stars. Parking can be a bit of an issue but does not detract one jot. Perhaps Steve you could put directions in booking confirmation for people coming first time. Please let me know availabilty any Friday + Saturday.

Parking in Skipton, like most town centres, is always available, though it can sometimes take a little finding – especially during the day Monday to Friday when some school sixth formers and office workers leave their cars in the area. That said, it usually gets easier later in the day and at weekends.

Just to mention, we do and always have sent all guests, new and regular, a welcome pack by email or booking platform messages before arrival, which includes:

A PDF with directions and parking suggestions

A PDF with key details for the cottage

A PDF showing the nearest dog walk

Plus a link to our digital guidebook

It sounds like the email may have gone astray this time – my apologies! I’ll make sure everything reaches you well in advance for your next visit.

I’ll also be in touch directly about upcoming Friday and Saturday availability – we’d love to welcome you back soon.

Cosy little cottage

This cosy little cottage is beautiful. Very clean with lovely decor and very well organised. In my opinion, the owners have thought of everything. It's like home from home. It is very well located with the town centre and canal only minutes away. Also there's lots of dog friendly pubs for a spot of lunch and there's many other places to visit in the surrounding areas. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Stanley our Cockapoo loved it too. Highly recommended and we will certainly think about booking in the future. Thisledo Cottage certainly WILL DO! 😄 Thank you

Fabulous stay in a fabulous cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. From communication from the owners right through to checking out, it was very well organised. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. It is located 5 minutes from the town centre and in a lovely quiet area.

Perfect Base to enjoy Skipton and surrounding area

This is a lovely small, but perfectly formed property and base for exploring Skipton and the area. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy.
It is in a very quiet spot, and easy walk into to town, I could be wandering along the canals in 5 minutes.
The outside space is quite small and not particularly sunny but as long as you are getting out and about then it really doesn't matter.
The property is very well maintained and is spotless.
You have everything you need and the owners are very helpful and responsive about anything.
