Passionate and creative, but not a conventional history book
I can tell the author put a lot of heart, time, and conviction into this book, and I respect the effort behind it. The presentation is creative, and it’s laid out like a workbook/textbook, which makes it feel structured and easy to follow.
That said, I think readers should know going in that this is not a traditional history book or a heavily sourced educational text. It leans much more into spiritual, mythological, and cosmic interpretations of history, with many major claims presented as fact but without the kind of evidence or sourcing some readers may expect.
So if you’re buying this expecting documented history, academic research, or a fact-checked study of Black history, this may not be what you think it is. If you’re open to an alternative, symbolic, highly imaginative worldview, then you may get more out of it.
I’m not trying to tear the author down at all — just give future readers a fair warning so they know what kind of book they’re purchasing.
