I have used Thornley Groves Monton on my last 2 property sales, each time they have been excellent to deal with, honest and deliver on exactly what they say they will. This time round I dealt with Kelly McDermott, Clare carpenter, Daniel coope and Ellie Milnthorp and they were all brilliant, very responsive. I wouldn’t use anybody else locally for property sales and would highly recommend them to others in Monton.

Please find alternative estate agents.
They don’t care about tenants. They take ages to get things fixed during the tenancy and then charge you £380 for an end of tenancy clean when you left it clean. When trying to communicate with them they are slow and don’t listen to you. I dont often leave bad reviews but I wouldn’t wish them as estate agents for you reading this.

I have been with Thornley Grove for a number of years.

Always really helpful for any queries like change address. Always keep me informed on changes and the regulatory stuff needed and offer quotes and packages or to arrange my own trades people.

Tomas been really quick to reply on few queries and other parties Sarah, Sienna and Satine all been good last few months with a few changes.

had a really easy time renting with thornley groves. Hannah specifically was really quick in getting back to emails and helping us out when required, would recommend to anyone renting!

0 stars if I could; terrible communication, no issues ever got solved. A revolving door of property managers.
Tried to get our flat vents fixed due to windows getting mould (construction was happening on the building at the time). They sent 4 guys around "to get a quote"; this was never fixed and caused health issues. Never rent with this company

Really pleased with the service I received from Thornley Groves throughout the whole process. James, Jess, Claire and the rest of the team were all great to deal with.

Everything was clearly explained from the start, including how the process would work and the fees involved, so I always knew where I stood. Communication was excellent throughout and whenever any issues came up, none of which were down to them, they were always quick to help, chase things up and keep everything moving.

They took care of arranging all the viewings and were really proactive with chasing people when needed, particularly as things progressed towards completion. I was always kept updated and any questions I had were answered quickly, which made the whole process a lot less stressful.

Would definitely recommend Thornley Groves and really appreciate all the help from the whole team

I recently viewed 2 properties with Kelly. She was really approachable, knowledgeable and understood my fairly tricky accommodation requirements. I will definitely be keeping in touch with her, going forwards with my search.

Extremely disappointing experience with Thornley Groves Chester - Garden City, Deeside.

We travelled 130 miles for a scheduled viewing, only to arrive and be told the agent didn’t have the keys. Despite explaining how far we had travelled, there was no real effort to resolve the situation, leaving us with hours wasted and fuel costs for nothing.

We then arranged a second appointment, with 5 properties confirmed the day before. When we arrived after travelling another 130 miles, we were told only 2 had actually been booked in. The agent had no idea we were expecting to view 5. We were then told the other 3 had apparently been let around an hour before our appointment, so there was supposedly “no time” to tell us. We found out only after arriving.

After two wasted 130-mile journeys, we wanted to make a formal complaint and have our concerns heard by a manager. After several attempts, we discovered the estate agent we had been dealing with was actually the manager. We were then told the complaint about the manager’s conduct would be handled by… the manager herself. Absolutely bonkers.

Unsurprisingly, the complaint came back as “no further action.”

The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and showed a complete lack of communication, organisation and accountability. Would not recommend.
