I have been going to the gym for over a…

I have been going to the gym for over a year however today I was disgusted to see a father take his 8 year old into the gym today and was basically swearing and shouting at the child I presume in his sad way this was was to encourage him. The management of the gym were also present at the time and didn't seem to mind the father of the child swearing at him!! Also I was under the impression that no children under 16 were allowed in the gym or is this only allowed for abusive parents? This was at the Bolton gym.

Get off your phone,

Great gym, BUT the management need to sort the people who are sat (hogging) on the equipment for 5 - 10 mins on the phones' you can have 20 people and 8 are staring at the phones,
Get off your phone or stand away from the equipment,

Misleading website

Thrive gym on the website shows that they comprise of two locations in the north west, as of 2024 this is the case but they are no longer linked. Since a buyout of the Bolton location they operate as separate locations despite what the website says. on the site they show membership at either with an option to have access to both for an additional charge, but this is no longer the case you can only be a member of one or have to pay full for both. The site is misleading to say the least, as for customer service to say its slow is an understatement plus confusing, the site shows a couple of emails and contacts but they dont both go to each location so its hard to get where you need, plus with an average reply time of 3 days its not exactly usefull for urgent queries. The staff too dont really go out of their way to sort out problems, they are not rude not horrid just slow and non responsive. If you do get in though can recomend the rawtenstall location with allot of classes included a much bigger gym and more facilities and they seem to be spending on maintenance now. all in all an average gym with bad website bad responce time but actually good gum

Thrive gym excellent site staff low grade member support

Thrive gym have two locations in the north west one in Bolton other in Rawtenstall. Bolton is the smaller of the two it had a good sized gym with all the equipment you would need and a dedicated yoga and spin room. Rawtenstal is massive by comparison with loads more kit and generally bigger rooms to play with. Staff at both locations are excellent friendly and helpful just what you need if your a little unsure. However, if you need membership help their only option is email responce is slow to nojmn existant and they don't really seem to be able to do what they advertise (allowing access to both locations and ability to book classes) after weeks of messages still not sorted. But if all you need is a friendly place to train this is it.

Bad customer service from a woman…

Bad customer service from a woman called Vicki who was mean and passive aggressive toward me. Wouldn’t feel comfortable returning on this basis and unfortunately can’t recommend based on this interaction
