This package was for 3 different cars - a Porsche (upgraded to a new Alpine due to availability at the time), a McLaren 570S, and a Race car. As it was the first time on the track, my son and I were driven around by an instructor for a few laps, to show the track and explain how to best approach the corners and straits. Then I drove the Alpine with an instructor, followed by the McLaren with an instructor, and finally drove the Race car myself. The instruction given was first rate, the instructors knew their cars and the track very well, and advised how to get the best out of the cars and the track. The cars handled very well, and were brilliant to drive. This was a memorable morning out, thoroughly enjoyed it, and recommend it to others.

Each car prepares you for the next. I was a little concerned, not having driven a car with paddle gear change, but the instructors introduced this in stages, with laps in Auto first whilst I got to grips with the track and the Porsche, using the paddle change towards the end of these laps. This then prepared me for the McLaran, which is uterly breathtaking in its performance. After 10 laps of tuition I certainly felt ready for the single seater which is just an amazing experience in itself. I would have been a little apprehensive and not got the most out of the single seater had I not had time with the instructors and their excellent tuition.

Brilliantly organised incredible fun track experience, instructors Gordon and Steve really inspired confidence with their professionalism and constant input. The Thruxton team are so professional and organised you can't fail to enjoy learning how to drive great cars on a great track.
