Skid Control is an important and fun skill to learn. Thruxton's facilities are great. However, the chap doing the coaching wasn't great. No sense of fun or enjoyment, just going through the motions like he's reading off a script. I'm sure other coaches there are better
The skid pan was well designed with plenty of space around that meant one is able to be confident in getting the cars losing traction (that's the idea after all!) knowing that you and any passengers were going to be safe. Would definitely recommend it.
Excellent experience
meant to get 15 mins in each car, was closer to 10. poor communication setup while driving and ideas werent explained clearly at the start of the section. porsche was fun to drive though.
Great experience exactly what you think. Not only a great experience but help to improve as a driver and stay safe on the roads understanding conditions and how cars react.

Hi, The Skid Pan Experience is designed to put drivers behind the wheel in both front and rear-wheel-drive cars and experience how each lose grip and how best to correct a slide when this happens. We also try and make this enjoyable and fun. Our Instructors are on hand to provide help and knowledge so that guests have both an enjoyable time on the skid pan and hopefully learn something.

Cool cars and good fun to be able to drive with the ABS and electronic aids turned off. The instructors were really helpful and it will help me with driving in the future if the roads get slippery. Great breakfast in the Jackaroo cafe before the skidpan made it a really good day out.
Really good experience at the skidpan, helpful instructors and Thruxton is always a pleasure to visit. We had lunch in the Jackaroo Cafe which made it a great outting.
