I ordered the boots from Thursday for delivery to the UK. The boots looked great, but the fit wasn’t right, so I tried to return them. Unfortunately, the return process has been a complete nightmare.
The shipping company rejected the return twice due to issues with the returns address and complications sending from the UK to the USA. I’ve already lost £35 + £60 on failed shipping attempts, and Thursday offers no support beyond telling me I had an extra 30 days to return them. No help with correcting the address, no guidance on the shipping issue—nothing.
To make matters worse, they also charge a restocking fee once the item is returned. At this point, the cost of returning the boots would be nearly half the value of the product. Completely unjustifiable.
Overall, I’m really disappointed. The support team seemed uninterested in helping resolve the situation, and the whole experience has been frustrating and costly.

This is the second pair of Thursday boots that our family has purchased, with this purchase being the Captains boots in Brandy. The smell of the leather alone is intoxicating when the box is opened, and the boots exceeded my expectations. I am a true standard US size 10.5 and ordered 10 per the recommendation. Perfect fit right out of the box with likely only some break-in required around the ankle. While I know there are much more expensive boots on the market, it is hard to imagine any possible improvements or materials justifying any added cost. There is a good reason why these boots are one of their most popular offerings

I ended up ordering the Racer Jacket Tobacco Slim Fit Large and it looks and fits great!! Its a high quality jacket and I highly recommend getting it.
I initially ordered the athletic fit but wanted an even more tailored look. Im 5’7, 200lb with a fit, very muscular build and a slim fit large fits perfectly if you want a very tailored, dressy look when wearing lighter weight shirts. However, if youre planning to wear heavier shirts and being more casual then definitely get the athletic fit which will give more needed room while still having a tailored look for a fit build.

If anything goes wrong there is nobody to answer emails in customer services. I placed an order today having seen really good reviews, I realised within a few minutes that the sizes are USA so Iv ordered the wrong size, I emailed customer services and have had no response 10 hours later but they just shipped my order, no idea what to do at this point. I’m assuming wait 10 days, pay to ship them back to the USA, pay customs, pay a restocking fee, then start all over again.

I own 6 pairs of these boots and I love every single one. They are comfortable, high quality, and I always get compliments on the boots. The first pair I bought in 2020 and they're still good as new. I bought a pair recently and had the sole unattached, I emailed using the website contact us option and immediately heard back! I was not expecting to get shipped a new pair but they did and it was so easy and smooth to get a response from their quality team. I highly recommend this brand!

The merchant’s public response is a fabrication. Here is the actual timeline from our email correspondence:
Nov 8: I reported the "burnt plastic" odor defect.
Nov 17 (9:41 PM): After receiving the return, Team Thursday (Milan) officially REFUSED to refund the $74.73 in duties/taxes, telling me to "request a refund from local customs." They also shorted my product refund by $30.
Nov 17 (9:45 PM): I notified them that I had no choice but to file a chargeback with Visa because they were shortchanging me on a defective item.
Nov 18 (12:31 PM): Only AFTER I mentioned the bank dispute did their tone change. Carlo called to say he would "take care of the rest of the refund."
Nov 18 (6:24 PM): Carlo tried to claim my bank was the one charging me "Forex fees" to explain why my refund was $30 short.
Nov 18 (8:37 PM): After I proved it wasn't a bank fee, Carlo admitted: "I'm confirming that the missing charge wasn't for FX Fee... I traced back the charges to GlobalE as the return shipping fee."
Their public reply blames me for an "extra charge." Their internal email admits it was a mistake with their own label system.
There is nothing routine about a merchant refusing to refund taxes on a defective product until a chargeback is threatened.
They claim to be "standing up" for a team that spent 24 hours lying to me about "bank fees" before admitting they accidentally deducted the price of a "prepaid" label from my refund.
They didn't go "above and beyond"—they got caught trying to make the customer pay for their manufacturing defect. They only settled the bill once Visa was involved. Their public "pride" in their professionalism is a joke. Stay away from this company

Upon unboxing, it emitted a strong burnt plastic odor, far from the anticipated leather scent, and featured a synthetic, low-grade texture that appeared inferior to basic alternatives. This is unequivocally a manufacturing defect, inconsistent with the product's marketing as "premium roughout leather."
I contacted customer support immediately, providing photographs and a video documenting the issue. After several exchanges referencing their international policy, they approved the return and issued a prepaid shipping label. I returned the item the following day in original condition. However, the refund of $530 CAD fell short of the full amount, with deductions for the return shipping (despite the prepaid label) and no reimbursement for the $74.73 in HST and duties prepaid via Global-e at checkout. Their suggestion to contact Canadian customs for the taxes adds unnecessary burden to the customer for a clear product fault.
This experience highlights significant shortcomings in quality control and refund transparency, particularly for international customers. I recommend avoiding Thursday Boots until these issues are addressed. 1 star.

I ordered the Legend boots in pebble. They arrived quickly. I love the look and comfort. When an issue arose with the sole on one boot, my problem was resolved within 24 hours (on a weekend!) and my boots were replaced. Customer service was excellent.

I ordered last thursday evening and immediately received saturday evening! Take note: I didn’t expedite it, it was just a standard shipping. I was hesitant to buy it because of the other reviews, but when I got it. I was completely satisfied! I love the color and everything! Thank you so much Thursday boots!

It is such a shame to only give 3 stars for a company who's product is fantastic, but customer service and overall experience is more than just the product. It took forever to receive the boots and I ended up having to pick them up myself from a courier. Partnering with a notorious delivery company (UniUni) save's you money but kills the customer experience. Please stop working with them, just look at their reviews (not the one's on Google, and yes you can pay/cheat for them). The reviews on Trustpilot and BBB are horrendous. Your delivery partners represent an important segment of your value stream and you chose a terrible partner. I wish I took photos of their facility; it is in my opinion a joke of an operation.

I ordered a pair of boots in size 6 (my usual size). However, when they arrived I couldn't get them on my feet as clearly they were a US size 6. This was not made clear on the website. I now have to return them (to the US) at my expense which I believe will be substantial. Extremely disappointed. Just hope I actually recieve a refund.

Do not buy from this company if you're outside of the US.
Having never purchased a pair of boots from Thursday Boot Company, I did my research into fit, quality, make etc... but wasn't sure of the size or width I was going to need as the reviews were inconsistent with some saying to size up/down or normal. Boots are decent quality but beware, do not make the mistake I did and buy multiple pairs of boots to try and find a size that fits you. I recently purchased a pair (£199) and when I went to return the pairs that didn't fit me, I found that the shipping cost would be ~£80 and that they weren't able to offer a full refund for the items I sent back. With the cost to ship and incomplete refund, I ended up paying another £200 just to send them back!
Customer service were prompt but not able to help in any way and just pointed me to terms and conditions.

I bought from Tokyo, Japan. The shipping process to Japan was swift and arrived in few days. The quality is great and the cost is honest. I wish I had Thurday shop here as well !

I had really high hopes for Thursday Boots, but my experience as an international (UK) customer has been incredibly disappointing. I did everything possible to make sure I ordered the right size - used their “Find My Size” tool, contacted customer service, even shared details of my best-fitting shoes when asked by their representative to ensure that I get accurate advice. They confirmed their recommendation and told me not to contact stores for actual insole measurements (which should have been a red flag).
When the boots arrived, they were clearly too small. Measuring the insoles confirmed that the sizing advice was way off.
I then exchanged over 10 emails with their customer support trying to arrange an exchange, only to find out that their “flat exchange fee” doesn’t even include shipping. So I’d have to pay their fee *and* pay to ship the boots back - even though I could just return them and reorder with free UK shipping for less!
Between the inaccurate sizing tools, poor advice, and confusing (and costly) exchange policy, I honestly feel international customers are set up to fail. I’d avoid this company - not worth the hassle or expense.

Not sure how people actually write product reviews because there is no where on the website to write or submit and after you order an item you aren't offered a link to review. Can't talk to a person. all chat bots on the website. Very annoying and not helpful. And then they send me a link to TrustPilot.
