I have repeatedly tried to contact this company regarding my botched order:
I contacted them via email on Friday 22nd September 2023 at 11.19am,
I called their number (0116 254 2366) and left a message on 21st October 2023 at 09.58am
I contacted them via their online 'Contact Us' form on their tia knight website, and lastly I sent an email on 3rd Jan 2024 at 3.01pm.

Part of my order (20 x(1/2M) Pieces Ponte Double Knit Stretch Jersey Fabric- Black) was unusable because it is of varying weights, opacity, sheen and shades of black. This was not mentioned anywhere in the product description - the fabric can not be used to make a garment of any kind. I noticed this after trying to make cardigans from the fabric - none of the fabric pieces matched.

From their lack of response, it is clear that they deliberately sent me twenty pieces of unusable scrap fabric that they had laying around, and charged me £40 plus postage for it.

Please, please avoid this unscrupulous company, the negative reviews are not exaggerated - these people are total scammers.

Updated: Finally I was contacted, issued a full refund on my order and received a generous gift voucher too.

Unfortunately very poor customer service. The company ignores my emails for 3 weeks already.
My parcel was returned back to the seller due to their own mistake. Then they posted it again, but did not provide a tracking number. No replies to my emails about the tracking number. No solution offered. Dissapointed.

This is such an amazing idea, the instructions are really easy to follow and is such a relaxing project. I bought this to make a blanket for my 7 month year old puppy for Christmas. The fleece is so warm and soft and the people running this business are so kind. I went to their shop in Leicester and they have so many amazing fabrics for all kinds of crafts. I will most certainly be buying from them again. If you have any questions just give them a call and they are more than happy to help.

I was impressed by the quick service. I have ordered from here before and been disappointed once before but this time all was fine. The fabric was ok... Honestly I think you get what you pay for and I haven't had any issue with my fabric.

I have been ordering from Tia Knight Fabrics for a few years. Competitive pricing across the store (I do check other companies).
I have never been disappointed with their service. I am always kept up to date with my orders, which are packaged with care and no order has been incorrect, fabric has been as described.

Excellent customer service and fast delivery. Ordered Tuesday morning got free delivery and received the order Wednesday at noon .

Fantastic fabric shop. Tia knight offers a great swimwear and dancewear range. Great quality foil and Lycra fabrics in my opinion. Other fabric shops aren’t as good and tia’s is by far the best and fab price range. Thank you all for the great service as always ☺️

Ordered the wet look foil fabric in various colours. Whilst making the garments the foil was starting to come off. Washed the garments on a cool wash and on one colour all of the foil washed off! Tia Knights fobbed me off saying to hand wash but it was coming off before I washed it on a cool wash! Poor customer care and in this case poor quality fabric not fit for purpose!
I washed the fabric on a 20 degree cool wash and all the foil came off...
It took numerous emails to get a refund of only one of the lengths of wet look foil ordered I'm still stuck with substandard fabric and out of pocket!!

Shocking service fabric terrible
I have used Tia knights for years for Lycra and now the quality is rubbish
I sent an email stating how unhappy I was and the reply was Thankyou for letting us know
I had to use them again for a fabric that I had used last year so clicked in the old order and choose reorder
So same fabric number so surely it must be the same
No it’s cheap rubbish that has came in place and black streaks through the middle
Again I sent an email this time a complaint and they asked for pictures to which I have sent and no response
Needless to say lessen learned clearly they are using cheaper suppliers
Not good enough won’t be using again and will tell my colleagues in the dance costume world aswell

I'm on my 4th order and very happy with them so far. Staff are knowledgeable on the phone and they were helpful in combining 3 of my orders as I kept forgetting things.

Have used several times in the past, no serious problems, HOWEVER...... They now tell me I have to pay an extra £5 postage as I am not on UK Mainland, strange as I have lived on Mainland for nearly 60 years! Also as Royal Mail DON'T discriminate on location, I presume the extra postage goes into their own pockets. Pretty disgusted.
Now a few days later and they insist on fraudulently claiming extra money for their own pockets. I sent them a copy of Royal Mail's page showing their interpretation of UK Mainland, therefore SAME postage to Highlands n Islands, Scilly Isles n Isle of Man as the rest of UK. Absolutely sick of being ripped off because of my postcode.

I have bought velour velvet fabric from this company on two separate occasion and found it to be excellent quality and lovely to work with. When I did send them a message with a query it was answered promptly and professionally. I will be back for more!

Tia knight’s Customer service is terrible. I was sent less fabric than I ordered, plus it was soiled. It took over a week to get a response. All they offered was 15% off a future purchase. No offer to send out the shortfall or replace the damaged fabric. I have spent quite a lot of money with Tia knight in the past and you’d think they would value repeat business, obviously not! I will not be buying from them again! There are much better fabric retailers out there. I would recommend you take your custom elsewhere.

I absolutely love this online shop for fabrics. They have a very broad range of fabrics and I've never been disappointed with the quality. In fact, I find their fabric quality often surpasses that of Minerva Crafts for example. Whatsmore, they are half, sometimes a third of the price of Minerva. I just bought a pink single jersey from Minerva, which was £12.99pm. I went onto TiaKnight for a colour Minerva didn't have at £3.99pm. When they arrived, they were exactly the same (except the colour)! Also, the last time I used Tia a few months back, I found their customer service extremely efficient, polite and helpful. Very impressed for a company I really knew nothing about and hadn't used before. I also like that their free delivery threshold is £25, which is quite reasonable. At their prices you can get a lot of fabric for £25. Arrived quickly, despite covid and the paper receipt was ticked off and highlighted, so they'd clearly been very diligent in making sure everything was correct. They have now been bumped to my No1 go to online fabric store.
