I don't understand why everyone is writing such bad reviews. What nonsense! And what whiny people! Ugh! Be glad you can fly so cheaply! Yes, there are strict rules! So what! Just stick to them! Everything is clearly indicated! Be glad you even land safely! And besides, it's incredibly antisocial that no one claps anymore when the pilot lands! Shame on you people! You're all spoiled and take everything for granted! What the pilot does and gets you back on the ground safely! Be grateful! I had great legroom. And they flew super and safely! And worth a round of applause!! Worth a big 5 stars! And the staff was super friendly! And neat and on time, and even landed earlier than planned! Super!!

My Disappointing Experience with Vueling Airlines

I had a very frustrating experience with Vueling during my flight from Mallorca to Amsterdam. While walking toward the plane, airline staff stopped me and demanded a €60 fee for my child's small suitcase, claiming it did not meet the size requirements—even though it was only about 3–4 cm larger than the standard.

During check-in, I specifically asked about this bag, and the staff member told me it was fine. She marked my boarding pass, which I found odd at the time, but I never imagined they had planned this. I had a 50 kg baggage allowance and could have easily fit the small suitcase inside my larger one, but I was told there would be no problem.

Of course, I refused to pay the fee. Instead, I took out the toys and coloring books and left the small suitcase behind. Once on board, I saw that some passengers had bags under their seats that were nearly twice the size of my child's suitcase—yet they passed without any issue.

So now I'm left wondering: is this actually the airline's policy, or just overzealous staff exploiting passengers?

I'm sharing this story because I want others to avoid being humiliated while simply trying to save a bit of money. Personally, I will never fly with Vueling again—and I hope anyone considering them knows what kind of treatment they might face.

VUELING: NEVER AGAIN!!!

I (single mother) have been saving for a long time to be able to take another trip abroad with my daughter. I booked the cheapest possible flight to Barcelona online. We were already at the gate at 8:00 am and were supposed to fly at 10:30 am. After waiting 2 hours we could finally board. I could simply scan my boarding passes, but asked the employee if I also needed to show our passports. She peeked at my passport for a moment and suddenly said very rudely: You are not flying with us!! You only entered your initials and will not go on this flight!! I (haven't flown in 20 years) was very shocked and I wasn't aware of any harm and I told her: but you can see that it's me and that this is my name! But the rude employee pushed me aside and said: Move aside, you are not going on this flight!!! Just go to the service desk and book another flight!! My daughter in tears and me upset then walked down to the Vueling desk and then had to wait another half an hour before we were spoken to!! Then the employee said: you missed your flight!!! You should just book another flight or call Vueling's phone number and ask if they can do anything for you, otherwise you will have to pay 1000 euros for a name change!!! I then called Vueling's telephone number, but only a poorly English-speaking employee who did not want to do anything for me!! Service: ZERO!!! I was then forced to book another return flight with KLM! And what was on our KLM boarding passes: ONLY OUR INITIALS!! 990 euros poorer!!! Thanks to Vueling we will NOT be able to go on holiday again next year!! And they ruined our entire holiday!!

Lost bagage and NO follow up from Vueling

NEVER EVER Vueling again!

On a basic PMI-CDG flight with transit at BCN, Vueling lost my suitcase. When I arrived at CDG, I opened a PIR claim for lost baggage. After 3 days, the tracking number was stopped and since then I've been unable to track my suitcase, which of course has NEVER been delivered.

I've tried to contact Vueling by every possible means: their website, customer service by phone, social networks: no response!!!! They are completely unprofessional, have no idea where they put my suitcase and don't want to compensate me for it! WORSE: they turn a deaf ear and don't answer. NEVER take vueling if you want to keep your luggage. It's the worst of all.


Plus JAMAIS avec Vueling !

Sur un vol PMI-CDG avec transit à BCN, Vueling a perdu ma valise. A mon arrivée à CDG, j'ai ouvert une réclamation PIR pour perte de bagage. Au bout de 3 jours, le numéro de suivi a été supprimé et depuis, je n'arrive plus à suivre ma valise qui, bien sûr, n'a JAMAIS été livrée.

J'ai essayé de contacter Vueling par tous les moyens possibles : site internet, service client par téléphone, réseaux sociaux : aucune réponse !!!! Ils ne sont absolument pas professionnels, n'ont aucune idée de l'endroit où ils ont mis ma valise et ne veulent pas me dédommager ! PIRE : ils font la sourde oreille et ne répondent pas. Ne prenez JAMAIS Vueling si vous voulez garder vos bagages. C'est une compagnie malhonnête et au service client inexistant et d’une incompétence EXTRÊME.

Discriminatory Treatment

Not a great feeling to be told you cannot do Online Checking because of your nationality, when I never have an issue with any other airline including British Airways, EasyJet, Rynair, etc... because my Passport is fit to travel and accepted in all the European area!!!

Worst company ever I had a flight and they made an involuntary change where I had to sleep on the airport twice for my both ways. I did not receive any help for my 2 hours flight that it ended up in being almost 48 hours. never using this company again

ghastly conmpany

This company lies and cheats to keep customers money! If your reading this I'm sure you to are a dissatisfied customer.

Numerous family members of mine booked to go to Spain for a wedding in June of 2020 as covid hit flights to Spain got cancelled. This company cancels flights then gives credit. This at first didn't seem to be an issue but as there website doesn't function and you cannot gain access to your account you are left in limbo as to what credit? I have been in communication with this company over the phone 10 times and I've lost count of how many emails have been sent.

They have gotten to the stage that they confirm they will give me a refund within 7 days of the 4th January, today is the 4th Feb one month later and still nothing.

There are numerous Facebook and social media pages dedicated to fighting this "company". Do yourself a favour AND NEVER USE VUELING.

Booked via Expedia flight+hotel. Never again will use this airline.30th April 2018 return flight from Barcelona to London Gatwick ST. Checked in 2.5 hours before my flight. With boarding passes in my hand at the gates 20min before my flight have been told by very rude staff that they overbooked this plane by 40 people and that me and my husband have to go and pay for another flight if we want to get back to the UK. No flights were available with this airlane until next day and no guarantee we will be getting a place so we have booked with different provider. However my checked in laugage disappeared and no-one could tell me where it is. After 4 hours of running around the airport and calling Vueling I found out it landed in Gatwick!This provider is disaster. When you call CS they can't do anything over the phone. At the airport same situation except that the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful! Whole day stuck at the airport without personal stuff praying to be able to get back to UK. Never again!
