I am a amateur collector, and have gone through 5-6 highly rated dealers. Paleo Direct is so far the only dealer that I trust 100%.

I’ve been sold outright fakes before, and have received items that were questionable, or didn’t have adequate provenance, from other brokers. The old trope of “belonged to a gentleman collector” is not enough for me. I want to know where it was found, and roughly when. Not only for my own piece of mind with authenticity, but also to make sure it was a legal procurement, and also because I am fastidious in wanting to know the history of my item, and labelling it thusly.

I have bought about 8 items from Paleo Direct so far, ranging from primitive man, ancient man, and mineral/fossils.
It is my go to purveyor.

I only wish the catalogue was bigger, especially amongst the Celtic articles. But I also understand that acquiring items that are beyond repute makes for a smaller selection.

I often check back to see if there are new offerings, and will continue to do so.
