Unprofessional and disrespectful recruitment process
I recently went through this company’s recruitment process and found it to be unnecessarily lengthy and time-consuming. After completing a very detailed application, a series of extensive tests and participating in two phone interviews, I was extremely disappointed by the way the process concluded.
I have been working remotely with a wide variety of clients for over nine years, bringing a broad and diverse skill set to the table. Despite this, I received an abrupt email informing me that I had not been successful — with no explanation or feedback provided, despite the considerable time and effort invested.
I find it highly unprofessional for a company to refuse feedback after putting candidates through such a demanding process. It shows a lack of respect for applicants’ time and experience. They claim to seek only the “best” talent, yet seem to have completely unrealistic expectations. If nine years of solid, proven experience is not sufficient, one has to wonder what exactly they are looking for — and whether even they know.
Moreover, it is ironic that they demand excellence from candidates while failing to hold themselves to the same high standards. A company that truly wants the “best” should treat applicants with professionalism and courtesy throughout the recruitment process.
I would not recommend wasting your valuable time with this company unless you are prepared for a drawn-out process with little regard for your effort or expertise.
