We had a fabulous time, with 4 generations- a superb location which couldn’t be bettered.
It’s not perfect, some aspects a little tired - but nothing that couldn’t be forgiven.
We would love to return.

Been with them many times. Always excellent accommodation and quiet and in this case (Fleur, Charmouth) stunning locations. Good booking service. Attentive to my needs as I suffer from a chronic illness. Lovely to receive the welcome bag of goodies!

We booked a 1 week holiday let at Coach End, Lymington in the New Forest and were looking forward to a lovely relaxing time there.

We were very underwhelmed by the presentation and feel of the property on arrival. It is very dated and doesn’t feel it has been freshened up for holiday letting in quite a time, it had the feel that someone is already living there and had just popped out - we felt like we were trespassing and unsettled there. It disappointed us to such an extent that we returned home after 2 hours and did not stay at the property at all.

Toad Hall rates the property as 3.5 star “Noticeably better quality than 3 star… which is - A more caring and contemporary approach to presentation with the overall effect making the property attactive, well cared for, welcoming and well equipped.”

Our view is that the property was barely 1 star “It has as all the basic necessities but would appear to be dated with little that is new or smart. However it achieves minimum standards and the presentation is reflected in the price.”

I contacted Toad Hall and advised them of our unhappiness with the cottage and that we had left without staying there. Their reply thanked us for letting them know and asked if they could assist with anything. I replied with more details of our experience regarding the presentation and feel of the property, outlining that we have previously been happy with our holiday cottage rentals with Toad Hall , but given the significance of cutting short the whole of our holiday and how dismaying that was to do, it had dented our confidence in their service. Toad Hall acknowledged how disappointed we were and hoped we would book again with them in the future.

Clearly no one would cut short the whole of their holiday without very good reason. There has been scant interest shown in our experience and feedback other than a courtesy reply to emails. The customer service shown by Toad Hall feels more like they are going through the motions rather than genuine interest as to our experience of their service.

We have booked many times with Toad Hall Cottages and always had a great experience and holiday. The property is as described, clean, and everything works. Booking is simple and communication has been great.

Excellent communication and support from start to finish. We use Toad Hall every year and will continue to do so.

Such an easy process to book and good updates. We had a call on route to say Hilltop was ready early which was great as we were early too. We were stunned at how beautiful Hilltop Cottage was when we arrived (We double checked the paper work to make sure we were at the right place) it was warm, so comfortable and had everything we needed. The up hill walk doesn't bother us, it just helps to burn off all the lovely treats, food and local ales we've sampled. Will definitely use Toad Hall again and will look up Hilltop Cottage availability as would love to stay there again.

We've always found the staff at Toad Hall Cottages are very helpful with any queries. The cottages are always clean and the descriptions are accurate.

Spent a week in Little Tern in Lymington, celebrating a couple of important birthdays. Very comfortable property fitted to a high standard.

This is the second time we've stayed in a Toad Hall property in Lyme Regis. Easy booking through the website and very prompt responses to emails. All information about the property was clear.
Despite a later check in time both times we were contacted on the day and told we could arrive earlier, which was a great surprise.
The property we have stayed in is beautiful. Always have a welcome pack and clear instructions about the property.

We booked a fantastic cottage through Toad Hall Cottages. All communication was superb and detailed.
Our cottage was perfectly situated on a quiet road, but close to all amenities. A great week.

We have used Toad Hall cottages over the past 6 years and the standard is always very high. The locations they have are fantastic and the cottages are amazing. Always well appointed with everything a family need. I would always recommend them, and will continue to use them in the future. Really easy to deal with and if you have a query or problem, really easy to deal with.

We have used ToadHall to book holiday properties over many years and they have always provided a great service. Communication is excellent and, in our experience, their properties are always as described, clean and well maintained.
Much preferred over Airbnb and other sites for properties in Devon (our destination).

Booking the cottage was easy and efficient and it was a very clean warm and comfortable property ideally located right in the centre of lovely Totnes with its fantastic independent shops and restaurants mostly organic and it’s lovely traditional markets on Friday and Saturday.

Such a great position everything you needed, thank you for bag of treats always nice to have. I don't have a complaint but sadly for us (both over 70) we do need comfy chairs to sit in in the day, I thought we could cope with just a sofa bed as we love the area on Monmouth beach .

Excellent experience all round. Easy to navigate website, easy to book. Very helpful and friendly staff who kept me up to date when I amended my booking. Also more than helpful to check the place I was visiting before I arrived to ensure all was ok. I’ve booked with Toad Hall multiple times. Always a great experience and I’ll be back to book through them again.

First time booking through THC, very impressed with the customer service from the Kingsbridge office (especially Clare I think) We had a few concerns about flooding having seen flood warnings for the Devon area on the news, our questions were answered quickly and efficiently, then having arrived early and being caught in a deluge we popped into the office to see if we could access the property early, they immediately contacted the caretaker and confirmed that the property was ready for us. Thank you for looking after us so well, we will definitely book through THC again.
