Wheelchair booking

Wheelchair booking - While we cannot fault the drivers, they would get 5 stars, the issue is getting one to turn up. The outbound pick ups have gone smoothly however on two seperate occasions the return collection have been a no show, and on all other occasions have been late. Only after multiple chasers does a driver show up. On the last occasion that was over an hour after the BOOKED time. Yes booked! These trips were booked days in advance but apparently that makes no difference. On both occasions my husband was left sitting outside in his wheelchair as the venue needed to close. This then beces a jealtj and safety issues. Will not be using TOA again.

TOA went above and beyond for customers…

TOA went above and beyond for customers service while other companies who said that" they offer services for wheelchair users"Unfortunately on a busy weekend they do not.
As a care worker after contacting six companies I then rang TOA they were reassuring considerate and understanding and nothing was too much of trouble Thank you once again

In space of 5days I had 2 cheeky…

In space of 5days I had 2 cheeky drivers. One didnt take me to the road that I'm paying for, leaving me to tell him to stop the taxi and I'll walk. 2day, As soon as I got in, I put my drone case on the seat and he went mental "mate take that off the fn seat, ive just had it done" it was dry. Sped all the way to my home, tail gating and hitting his brakes. Didn't say a word. I gave 3 stars cos there is good nice guys that do work there. Been using for years and use almost everyday. 1 more stunt like that and I'm changing companies. Ridiculous

Very bad taxi service i used for years…

Very bad taxi service i used for years and left it !!! Very abusive staff aswell as staff and drivers who are abusive aswell they try to over charge u 😡😡by trying to trick u if ur stupid !😡😡😡😡or vulerable i have reported this service many times to the council !😡i use uber now or bolt tbh 🤷🏾‍♂️ they okeiss but not as bad as TOA !!

Pre Booked a wheel chair taxi for a…

Pre Booked a wheel chair taxi for a very important hospital appointment and the taxi never turned up resulting in a missed appointment, no contact from toa until nearly two hours after initial booking to which they hung up mid conversation!
Horrendous service never use again!!

DREADFUL, DISGUSTING AND DISCRIMINATING COMPANY

Absolutely disgusted with the service - or rather the lack of it. I pre-booked a car the day before I needed the service to get me to an important appointment. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and advised the operator of this. The booking was taken and confirmed for 2pm the next day. Day of my appointment - no taxi....15 minutes later, still no taxi, no call nothing from toa. I called asking when my taxi would be arriving only to be told there were no drivers in my area and no one had come forward to accept the job but the operator said he'd put it out now as urgent. 2.30 - time of my appointment came and still no taxi. I had to phone to explain that I'd be let down by the taxi company and couldn't get there. I was told I'd have to pay £70 for a non-cancelation fee and have to wait 3-4 months for another appointment 😡.
At 2.45, i got a call from toa asking if I still needed a taxi as they still didn't have any drivers in my area ?*¥#*#? 🤬. They advertise themselves as having wheelchair accessible vehicles covering all areas 24/7? I really think they need to review and revise that dishonest statement.
Avoid this company if you intend getting anywhere by a specific time and even more so if you're a wheelchair user!!!!

Reliable, prompt and honest!

Great company, totally recommend. Reliable and trustworthy! My daughter recently left her phone in the taxi, and it was returned to her within the hour, and despite the driver, Matt, going out of his way during working hours, wouldn’t take any money from us as compensation. He was just happy to return her phone safely. Much appreciated!

Awful company

I pre booked a disabled taxi for my elderly parents days before their appointment only to find they had to wait 20 minutes both ways for the taxi, making them late for their appointment. When I rang to find out why, I was informed that this is not unusual and some people have had to wait 1hr for the taxi to arrive, especially on a Friday, as they are not in the area. Surely if it has been pre booked a taxi should be at its destination at the correct time. I was then informed that I could pay more for a Premium service which would guarantee the taxi to be on time. What a con! I was also not informed about any of this when I booked. This is blatantly taking advantage out of disabled passengers and conning them out of their money.

DON'T EVER

My advice is DON'T EVER use this firm if there is an alternative. I have used them twice now, the reason being they offer transport to wheelchair-bound customers. What they haven't offered is punctuality. The outward journey this evening was 40 minutes late and they even tried to cancel the booked and paid-for return journey.
