I was very surprised to see the low rating...the customer support was exceptional. Resolved a problem without fuss and over the space of a couple of very quick emails. Excellent

We bought a really nice bird table in a local garden centre and when we got home we discovered a slight fault in a base plate. We e-mailed the company, sent them a photo of the damage and within two days we received a replacement part in first class post. Great customer service - and the birds can enjoy the latest addition to our garden.

"THE COTSWOLD". HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG CROW FLAPPING ITS WINGS,
HANGING BY ITS NECK, DYING UNABLE TO RELEASE ITSELF FROM THE HOOK AT THE TOP OF THE FEEDER ???? I HAVE TWICE.--- ANY ONE THINKING OF BUYING ONE OF THESE MONSTROSITIES BEWARE....AND DONT !!
TOM CHAMBERS ARE IGNORING MY EMAILS
THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS.
I AM A MEMBER OF THE R.S.P.B AND I AM NOW GOING TO RING THEM AND LET THEM USE THEIR REPUTATION AND AUTHORITY TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

Purchased Cotswold Bird Feeder, very well made good quality - but I need an additional pole section to increase height against my fence - contacted Tom Chambers and advised unlike their competitors it is not possible for this or any other replacement parts to be supplied, which is a shame as they manufacture in UK and all components must be available.

Bought a Tom Chambers garden rocking chair from our local garden centre. I absolutely love its chunky design, it's so easy to assemble and very comfy. Love it and the price was good too.

Tom Chambers Suet logs do not fit the Tom Chambers suet log feeding station. The holes for the logs are too big, for the size of the suet logs supplied and the birds just knock them out onto the ground where the squirrels and larger birds get them. Absolutely useless, no help from customer service. I can't be the only one with this issue.

Shocking, have been trying to get an account for 7 weeks have yet to have a reply from the sales team, just, I have passed the message to sales, several emails sent no response.
Understandable that they have a very low rating, having read the reviews, looks like I'm not the only person who has had problems. Several companies I use doing the same kind of items all manage to respond to emails. and seem happy to accept new customers.
Tom Chambers, Proud to be British, what a joke, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Needless to say I will not be using this company

I bought a Tom Chambers Nourish Bird Feeding Station.
Its sections do not join securely with the result that it does not stand straight and vertical. As a result it looks very Heath Robinson and very cheap.
If you have pride in your garden do not buy.

The metal plant supports I bought are inadequately welded. One broke at a welded joint so I inspected the welds of the others i had bought, and sure enough they were all just spot-welded on one side only. I took them back to the garden-centre to change them for stronger ones, But nearly all of their stock of these were like that. Apart from that, they are a good design.

I bought a squirrel and big bird proof fat ball feeder. I put it up for 10mins and the magpies were in and feeding without any problem. If a squirrel would have got a look in it would have been no match for it.
The outer cage needs to be much further away from the centre cage; three times the distance. I made my own crude version at this distance and they work.
Don't waste your money on these - they simply don't work.

I purchased a Squirrel Snack Box in February and just two months on the box has been destroyed by the squirrels. The wood is so soft that they just gnaw and tear big chunks out of it and now the pillar holding the plastic food window has been torn away and the feeder is ruined. The product is just no fit for purpose.

Bought Tom Chambers feeder summer last year (2024). Very pleased with it, Jay's, Great Spots, nearly every kind of tit you could name, Jackdaws. Nearly a year on and not showing any wear at all, even accounting visits from squirrels, water rats and moorhens, the latter jumping across from bushes nearby

I bought a Tom Chambers Elegance feeding station for my garden birds and twice have had magpies get caught by the neck in the curly brackets. The first time I managed to free the bird, the second time the magpie died as its neck broke. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is a death trap! When I advised Tom Chambers about the problem they told me to take my 3 year old feeding station back to the shop where I purchased it - as if anyone is going to take a product back that had been used and is 3 years old. They said the design team would be made aware - but they clearly haven't designed a very good product to feed birds if they die when using it. Terrible customer service and very faulty design.

The garden furniture looks good after 2 years but the after sales customer service is rubbish.

I called them a few times and then emailed but no response. Eventually I managed to speak to someone who promised to call back but I never heard anything from them.

Bought 2 Roll Top Seed Feeders along with 2 bags of no more mess mix seed and got given 2 jars of peanut butter for birds (that has no instructions as how to use or what to put it in on the container).
1. Useless when it rains. Need some form of drainage because the feed swells and the birds won't touch it and it then gets stuck inside and goes mouldy quite quickly.
2. There needs to be some form of latch to stop the lid from coming undone. (A tiny magnet isn't strong enough).
3. The hook needs to be longer to be able to put over the hooks they hang from because each time I put mine on the hook, I have to tilt it quite an angle and quite fair amount of the seeds fall out! I'll be requesting a refund for both feeders (Only 1 was used).

I thought the recycled glass feeder was going to be the panacea, wrong, the tray needs a lot more development, holes to small to drain water,the seed clogs and stops it working correctly, they also have two sizes of seed ports, which is not mentioned anywhere on the product.
I was fed up of over engineered, difficult to clean,squirrel traps, ironically designed to prevent them looting the seed, not that I'm bothered about that two much.
I'm going public because they have not acknowledged an email letting them know it's not the finished product, needed more R&D, nothing bad ,just letting them know

Not fit for purpose!

Just bought a Tom Chambers Everyday Bird Station

It leaned outwards from the middle of the upright poles after placing seeds and suet balls onto it. Pole joints are just too weak.

Hedgehog bracket - happy with recent purchase as it is of good quality.
Only fault is that the included rawlplugs were too short for the screws supplied.

I bought 2 hetton rocking chairs & had one hell of a job putting them together. Not because they were hard but the bolt holes on the arm & chair back didn't match up. Took 2 person 2 hours for one chair & 3 hour for other, we are reasonably good at DIY, not total novices, so annoying as there are only 4 pieces per chair to build, 4 screws & 6 bolts per chair. I will say though that now done the chairs are so comfy, & glad we persevered.

An update on my original frustrated review, Tom Chambers got promptly back to me after I contacted them, their customer service has been first class as they have offered me a replacement without any issues. Looks like a one off as I purchased 2 of these chairs earlier that same week and assembled them quite easily. I also purchased a Harvest Planter, which I purchased ready assembled by the garden centre, but had to take apart and reassemble correctly (Not Tom Chambers fault - In fact they are sending me the install notes to assist me,which is ace. Great first class customer service.

Hetton rocking chair, beware as holes in arms dont match up with chair back making it impossible to get the bolt through as a good 5mm out. You would expect better quality control for a premium product at a premium price, already put 2 of these together ok this week, so wasnt expecting problems with a 3rd one!!! Poor workmanship, doesnt take much, just a bit of pride in your products grrrr.
