I brought a dress that looked nothing…

I brought a dress that looked nothing like the picture, the quality was very poor and it cost £60.
I emailed them to ask where I could return it and they said it would cost £20 postage.
So i paid that and returned the dress.
A month later I’ve received the dress back in the post.
I emailed them again to be told they would give me 30% back, which workouts £18. Not even the cost of the postage.

Total scam

Total scam
£40 on a terrible quality dress that looked nothing like the photo.
When I emailed for return I was offered 30% which I did not accept. I requested a full refund on return but I was given insufficient address details, spent £19.70 to return to china only to have it returned to me 3 months later. I think they gave a fake address. So now I’m £60 down and 4 months later. I was offered the “maximum” 50% of the original item by Fabian the manager. What a joke - why is that the maximum when it was all their fault & no body to complain to. Ps 5 days later and still haven’t received my refund! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

SCAM

I read these reviews after ordering. The website looks legit at first so I didn’t check reviews before buying, I came across them while searching for a specific dress which doesn’t seem to actually exist anywhere, but it’s basically SHEIN items at twice the price (or more). They’re based in China which they hide until you ask for a refund. They then offer you just 10% in a condescending email apologising for your ‘disappointment’ so I’m getting back about £3.80 of a £38 dress. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

No quality assurance or performance reliability from this high-priced brand.

My daughter was gifted a Tom Wood Project 9ct Gold plated Infinity Bangle just this Christmas by a friend. Within less than a month - and limited/careful of faction wear on its own- away from other jewellery as it is quite a signature piece- the bracelet has become both scratched and tarnished to a ridiculous extent. Unfortunately the piece - which retails at approximately £700 - was purchased via a Matches Fashion closing down sale - and we don’t have the Proof of Purchase - so the TWP Customer services team - whilst communicative - have ditched all responsibility for Customer Service Backup or resolution to the very clear performance problems in the bangle. I am frankly astounded at how gingerly a so-called-luxury brand will ditch all responsibility for quality assurance or performance reliability in their products. I supplied full product/batch number/ID/packaging etc as well as photo’s of the very obvious faults across the bangle - but was met with a very practised ‘So sorry-not our problem’. So. I despite their undoubtedly strong design - this brand is not enduring or well finished throughout the production process. And they don’t care. So - I would avoid and find another brand to buy your treasured pieces and gifts from. I have bought £50 electromagnetic plated pieces for my teenage daughter from numerous other jewellery brands and not had these problems.

Bought a ring

Bought a ring, website said customs fees and duties included, item was held at DHL demanding payment of fees, customer service did not resolve this and thus far it is 2 weeks as an ongoing issue. I'd avoid on the basis they can't resolve simple customs disputes!

Worst experience ever. Don't buy!

Tom Wood is abusing their hype to produce very poor quality for a very overrated price. I paid 449 eur for a silver ring. I have rings I bought in a market for 12 eur that look better than this ring. I did a claim and they are not accepting it saying that is normal use, which is not. I only used the ring for 1 hour and it was completely scratched. Shame. Don't buy anything !

Tom Woods Sonic- roomy, great colour, look superb

This is my first pair of Tom Wood jeans and I'm quite impressed, although I'd not have wanted to pay the original retail price. I purchased the Sonic straight style in white, although the colour is better described as ecru or off-white. They're 100% cotton and labelled as "organic" but that was not a factor in my purchase. My first impression was that they were quite large for their stated size, which was 36. I normally take 38 but with vanity sizing my more recent purchases have been in 36. They are just a tad loose but I always wear a belt so not a big issue.

These jeans really are "straight leg" and they remind me of my old navy summer bellbottoms although they're not as heavy. Heaps of room through the backside and thighs. Very stylish and I even went out and bought a white belt to go with them, not just for the style but because I was concerned about coloured leather staining the waistband.

The gold-coloured buttons are a nice touch, not that anyone will see them (hopefully) and so is the white label although it's fully stitched so a belt goes over the top. It's plain, with just "Tom Wood" at the bottom edge which means it should be visible even with a belt. Not sure what it's made from but doubt it's leather. From memory the inseam is 32" which is pretty good for me. Despite being tall my perfect inseam is 31" but very hard to find.

While Tom Wood (not a real person, I gather) is a Norwegian brand, the jeans are made in Italy, and very nicely made at that. I'd not normally consider TW jeans, they're well outside my normal price range and I don't go out all that often, but these ones came up at a great price (although they are still the second- most expensive jeans I've ever bought, the most expensive being Australian-made R. M. Williams moleskins). Very happy with this purchase.
