I would like to share my experience so others can be aware and proceed carefully before engaging with this franchisor.

I entered into an agreement with them to set up a business, based on their promises to provide certain services and support as outlined in the agreement. Based on these assurances, I made the required payment.

Unfortunately, after receiving the payment, the agreed services were not delivered as expected. Instead, I later received a cancellation notice stating that they would not proceed with the arrangement. The owner of the company also blocked communication and access, which I found highly unprofessional.

It appeared that there were difficulties in completing the legal and procedural requirements of the franchise setup. However, rather than attempting to resolve the issues or find a professional solution to move the process forward, the owner made the decision on his own to cancel the agreement.

Despite several requests from my side, the refund has also been refused. This behaviour was extremely disappointing and not what I expected when entering into a professional agreement.

Based on this experience, I strongly not recommend this franchisor.

Enquired about a franchise with this company. Rob the owner sent me a prospectus and proceeded to try and call me several times. I emailed him back to say I wasn't sure this was for me as I didn't have any accountancy/book keeping qualifications. He then said it would still work and that he'd send me some cashflow forecasts. These were sent through quickly with a plan from him that I'd pay a significant deposit with 2 weeks (31st Jan) and attend training a week or so later, which really goes against everything you are taught when investing in a business as full due diligence needs to be undertaken. Out of courtesy I took a 30min call from him, and said I'd need to look at the numbers before agreeing to anything. I did this and they didn't stack up for me at all, so I politely declined by email. I then received an email back slashing the franchise fee dramatically and giving me a 48 hour deadline to agree to the new fee, which I duly ignored as not interested. 2 days later I've received an invoice via signed for post for £330 for his services, none of which I agreed to or signed up for. I have now reported this to the Quality Franchise Association to make them aware, but wanted to post this to warn any other potential purchasers of the franchise.

I have been with Rob for many years. I have always found Top choice Accountant professional and excellent in every aspect. Couldn’t do without them especially with tax return. They will always help you if they can with good advice…..
