We have been blown away by topclick!

Earlier in the year we approached topclick after seeing some of the work they had done for Caprice Bourget whilst attending their kick starter seminar. We checked them out on the RAR register, looked at their social got a good feel for them before engaging.

Fast forward to now and haydengreen has completely rebranded, has a new website and awesome video which we fully credit topclick’s creative team in bringing to life. We found the complete process very smooth and the project was completed in 5 months which was the original timelines agreed.

We have just started a social and seo marketing campaign with them and looking forward to now making best use of the new website.

Having given thousands of pounds to Topclick for their SEO services despite their colourful charts and complete spin of the numbers claiming success I received a zero return and unbelievably poor service. With incredibly awful responses from their Head of SEO and the business owner himself I can only say that I have never experienced such appalling treatment and wasted so much money.

They built back links for me of exceptionally poor quality. Here is just one example of something they wrote for my business:
‘Care is an ageless quality we as a whole have yet is frequently overlooked with regards to conveying at work. Introducing data obviously for How Presentation Coaching can benefit your business successfully is a key expertise to get your message or feeling crosswise over end, today, outlook aptitudes are required in verging on each field. Whether you are an understudy, head or official, in the event that you wish to fire up your own particular business, apply for a gift or remain for a chose position, you might just be requested that make a presentation.’

They have based our campaign on Key words which Google says has zero search volume and despite repeated requests cannot explain why.

Aside from dubious, poor quality links they have focused our campaign on building identical location pages which I have since learned is not a practice Google take kindly. On complaining their head of SEO responds by saying: 'Granted there are some areas where keywords have dropped slightly in recent weeks but the rank is still a massive improvement against the WHOLE performance of the campaign.'

When I vehemently disputed the notion of a 'massive improvement' with Topclicks owner he responded by saying.:'The campaign itself is moving along nicely but I would not say we have had 'massive improvements'.

So in an instant they make the quantum leap from a 'massive improvement' to ' moving along nicely'. Both interesting ways of ignoring the absolute reality that after several months and spending thousands of pounds with them for the most part I am in no better a position than when I started but I now have our business associated with appalling writing and a penalty waiting to come from Google.

To add insult to a very deep injury having paid them in advance for a another months work and then asked them to cease my campaign immediately and return my fee for the months work they have not even begun the owner returns our money as though he is doing us a huge favour:
'As a gesture of good will we have provided you with a refund for one months' charges on a without prejudice basis.'

Given the pain and mistrust this company caused us we then decided to move our hosting elsewhere the owner has the audacity to say: 'Additionally as a further gesture of good we provided services free of charge in relation to the website crossover and supported that fully.'

Here is the reality from a email I received from the new hosts during the transfer:
"Sorry, I'm getting there slowly but TopClick aren't being too helpful."

I have to give credit where it is due though. As far as there SEO service is concerned Topclick are exceptionally good:

- At 'spinning' the reality to make things look much better than they actually are when they actually couldn't be worse.

- At not taking any responsibility for their actions.

- Taking your money and providing very little in return.

Most of all they talk a great talk but can't deliver and have no interest in customer service or competence to deliver. I can't wait to see their 'spin' of a response on this one...

In closing. my advice would be do not under any circumstances waste a penny on their SEO services.

How ironic it is to me that they use a platform called Trustpilot....

Excellent service. The guys at topclick are are great! They helped me from start to finish and the end product is outstanding. The team are so helpful and always prompt to reply to e-mails. I'm really happy with all their ideas, work and effort. I would highly recommend using their services!

After extensive research and talks I awarded Top click the project of looking after PPC. We had a understanding that if the agreed KPI'S were not met, we would both be happy to end the contract, and in general there would be a cooling off period to allow our business to end the contract. At no time during the first month did any of the agreed KPI'S get met.

My account manager was great and really helpful but due to site issues I decided to postpone the contract and give it another go in October due to ongoing work needing to be done on our new site.

This is where the tone of the company changes, they refuse to end the contract and try to impose a FINE of 2 weeks work which has apparently been allocated. When you refuse to pay they threaten you with small claims courts etc. Well I don't accept intimidation and underhanded tactics.

The sales manager is very slick but as a whole the business seems to lack any ethics when dealing with customers. Due to the account manager I was willing to give it another go in October when we relaunch our site, but instead of gaining a long term customer they have in fact ended up with a poor review, and legal action.

Genuine review, google me and Id be happy to discuss with anyone

They came recommended to us and we have only positive things to say about top click.

We have gone to first page of google for I believe all/almost all of our key words in less time than they pitched to us and our traffic increases month on month. Every quarter they come and meet with us to go through what the results show to help and provide some nice reports which we use internally afterwards.

Would use again and recommend.

All staff we have dealt with from our initial onsite meeting to ongoing teleconfs have always been very friendly and a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

In general we enjoyed working with Top Click and the website they produced for us is much better than we expected. We hope to build upon it, add e-commerce and make it another profit centre for our business.

We have two criticisms:

1. It took much longer to produce that we expected. The completion date of simply "August" in our contract was too vague. Thus we expected completion at the beginning of August. They maintained completion was promised at the end of August. My MD was becoming very agitated, especially when the site wasn't actually launched until mid-September.

2. It has often been difficult to reach our main contact at Top Click on the phone. Almost all calls go to his voicemail and he calls us back as soon as he can. This can be much later. This is often quite frustrating in the latter stages of site construction as many small adjustments and decisions discuss and relay. I don't blame our man Kevin. It is a small and dedicated team at Top Click and I am sure he has meetings, training and other clients to juggle but you need to take speed of communication seriously if you want your clients to recommend you. I would find that difficult at the moment. I'm keen to see the relationship develop.

We have an ongoing relationship with Top Click which I wouldn't want my comments to spoil. We do work quite well when we can reach each other and/or sit in the same room. And Kevin is a real enthusiast who I am sure is a real asset to the business. He just needs some back-up (especially when he is away on holiday)...
