What a bunch of tech clowns- AVOID

What a bunch of tech clowns
Sadly my landlord uses their sytems which are flaky and put food stocks at risk. Warnings email sent once - no text warnings, the warnings cant be be adjusted- or emergemcy balnce increased and after their upgrade the email warning of low balance won't link anymore to your account , so you have to do it manually -told them they've ignored it each time- just dont care and/or are inept.

Prior to upgrade their old single alert email with a link was blocked as unsafe by software protection but you had to ignore that to be able to get to your account. Told them about that never fixed - ignored - see a pattern here !!!! Remeber its your business running the risk of having an power outage at teh wronmg moment and teh useless back up craeditt can only be actioned by physically pressing teh button- hard luck if you are away or elsewhere - off the power goes nad whats worse if you top up you soemtimes have to still press the button ( & you may be overseas etc ) utter CLOWN show

So basically if you see one of their meters in placve its ONLY so the landlord can rip you off with hiked rates , they have no interest in the end user - don't lease the premises find another

I'm new to Topupmeters

I'm new to Topupmeters , but I was encouraged by the very good reviews, the little insight of the company behind the meter and was impressed with the speedy top up.

Staff going above and beyond.

I've spent 2 days trying to sort the problem out with my bank and topping up my electric meter.
I spoke with Sam today a couple of times who was very helpful with the assistance of his colleague.
He said he'd keep me updated.
Hopefully it will be sorted soon.
Thank you Sam for your assistance and help.

AVOID!!!

I've put a £20 top up on and it hasn't shown no response from customer service or email now I'm cold with no electricity in my home AVOID!

I have been a customer of Topupmeters…

I have been a customer of Topupmeters for a number of years. I have always received excellent service from them. Dominic is very helpful if when called out of hours. Will highly recommend this company

The product does exactly what it says…

The product does exactly what it says it does and is solid and reliable. The portal is very user friendly, we didn't even need any training.

The customer service is superb. One of the few businesses left you can call and talk to someone or if you email them, they get back to you promptly.

I highly recommend them!!

Love my top-up meter!
Phoned the company today with a query and was assisted quickly and efficiently by a gentleman (didn't catch his name unfortunately).
Professional service is rare these days, so hats-off to Topupmeters.

purchase of meters and setup of online account went very smoothly. Meters were easy to install and being able to monitor the accounts and deal with any issues online is very convenient

Fantastic idea

Fantastic idea, so much easier than my old card meters and easier to keep track of payments from tenants for my records.
Online portal is easy to use.
Very good support when I've had any questions regarding setting up.

Energy Topup

You can change all the settings on there website and is is very easy to use and you can check how much energy is being used by the tenants. And you will never be left with a energy bill.

Manage from anywhere online I don't think so !!!

I completely agree with the other review,it's not been the best so far ,3 times now it hasn't updated and its missing some information on the graph ie days of usage, its meant to be easy on your phone from anywhere in the world !!! Can't very well press any buttons on a meter if your abroad on holiday can you ... let's blame it on the WiFi connection shall we ,think you need to rethink your quotes personally can see lots of complaints coming your way,so far I wouldn't recommend you..update to your reply I have contacted customer service several times and all they say is press the button ,and once again this is no use if you are not there ,should add boosters or whatever it is when you install them especially in areas that you know the signal won't be great !

Hi Helen, Topupmeters operate over GSM, not WiFi. Sometimes where mobile phone signal is poor, topups will not go through immediately. In emergencies you can manually enter the topup code at the meter.

This is also why there are gaps in the usage chart as we have not been able to read your smart meter every day.

There are steps we can take to alleviate this problem, such as using booster antennas and retrieving data gaps. Please contact our support team on support@topupmeters.co.uk or call on 0330 223 4419 and provide your meter serial number.

My Meter doesn't update my payments and…

My Meter doesn't update my payments and I'm constantly left without electricity. If it happens over the weekend you can't speak to anyone until Monday so are left days without electricity.

Response: I had to make a 3hr round trip to manually top up for guests I had staying. I thought this was an online topup service?

Hi Niraj, I am sorry to hear you were without electric, but in the event the topup payment does not reach the meter the code can always be manually entered. Instructions on how to do this are on our website and shown in the email receipt.
