Last time I shop at Torpedo 7

Last time I shop at Torpedo 7 - Two orders in a row I ordered an item, had no update from Torpedo7 for multiple weeks, no response to follow up enquiries via email, and then my order was cancelled with an automated email.

Dont sell what you dont have stock of

Ordered and paid for product.
Wrong product delivered.
3 emails and phone call to connect with service center.
Advised to return product.
No feedback on product purchased.
Waiting on refund.
Experience has deterred me from purchasing online from Torpedo7 in the future (inspite of having good products).

Taupō store lied about what I was buying!

Taupō store miss sold me a style of Oakley sunglasses. I’m travelling from the uk, stopped in Taupō where I visited the store, I went in asking for the Oakley radar ev path sunglasses. They sold me a pair as that style, it was there last one so now I can see where they thought they could get me! I have been wearing the sunglasses only to go to sunglasses hut where they informed me that I was sold a different style. These glasses weren’t cheap, I can’t afford to replace them nor return to Taupō as I fly to Christchurch tomorrow. Have contacted customer services but had no response. All I want is my money back so I can go elsewhere and buy the oakleys I wanted!

This company has a policy of accepting your order but not delivering

This company has a policy of having great sales to 'bait' you , accepting your payment , repeatedly confirming you that your order is coming , and that 'we care' . I have only ordered twice and both times they have failed to deliver because after several weeks of receiving these 'its coming , thank you for your patience ' emails whcih i stupidly believed , i decided to find out what was what . Well it is simple they accepted my order and payment when they did not have the stock . They only 'admitted' this after my chase up emails . If i had not finally chased them up each time how long would they have been able to hold onto my money before they had to let me know they could not fulfil it? They never accepted any blame. This has happened before to me, and others, so they have had plenty of opportuntiy to improve their poor stock management systems and their processes but they have chosen not to .
Do not trust them . There are, as i have found, better companies selling on line that not only have marching or better pricecs but also actually have excellent stock management systems were you cannot even order and pay for anything becasue it is clearly out of stock - and their customer care actually exceeds the usual customer care standards. Shop around .

Purchase an item and wanted cancel the…

Purchase an item and wanted to cancel the order. Emailed 3 times to cancel, with no response. Then received an email that the item is ready to ship. Tried phoning ,answered by a robot saying that there are no operators available and hangs up.

Tuakura 4 tent

We purchased a Tuakura 4 tent. We’re very impressed with the quality of the tent, and the design. Lots of thought has gone into this, to make it a wonderfully liveable tent. Our favourite thing so far, is being able to open up three sides of the living area, so the front of the tent feels like a gazebo.

Shipping was prompt, even in the busiest season of the year.

Massive wait time and misleading information

Made an order 3 weeks ago online, have had several emails from Torpedo7 saying 'don't fret - we're working on it!' only to find out today that they are only just processing it and almost all the items I ordered are now out of stock. Very misleading and waste of time waiting on products I could have purchased elsewhere.

Tuakura 4 tent

Brought a Tuakura 4 tent in the Black Friday sales.
Shipping delays were expected, but tent arrived with plenty of time to spare before Christmas camping trip.
Have just come back from 4 days camping in the rain, and we loooove it. Would recommend

No longer having a store in Napier means buying online - thankfully, easy and user friendly, as this item was one of my sought after wishlist items. Such an asset to indoors and outdoors and weight free friendly. Definitely Torpedo's version of this is the best out there! Can highly recommend

Brought a bike online

Brought a bike online. Bike is fine but for some reason the tires would not blow up. Contacted Customer services and sent them a video as requested but never heard back. Purchased new Tubes for the bike and now it is working fine. Still cannot get the tubes that came with it to blow up and stay up. Real bad customer service and will never buy from them again.
