Simply wanted to check if a selected vehicle had any write off history. Chose a 3.99 silver package, paid via PayPal, and on return to the website I was not given the information required, but an invitation to buy a package of 15 checks for £9.99. Very poor .

Totalcarcheck, you are indeed correct that payment wasn't completed. However your site is full of unwanted traps trying to convince any customer to buy more than they would likely need. If someone wants a simple check to find out if a car has written off history, then that should be a simple process, instead of having to jump through hoops. To be fair, the majority of competitors are exactly the same, and virtually indistinguishable (not all!), but this is not about them.
I will not be contacting support as I have obtained what I wanted elsewhere. Thanks.
