If I could give minus stars I would. They are a law unto themselves and demand payment months in advance, then harass you with countless texts and emails every single day. I have tried to cancel twice but they keep ignoring my requests and sending more invoices.im now being forced to pay an invoice for September to 'cancel' my contract for lessons I do not want. Its a shame as the teacher is great but the company is shameful. Steer clear.

Teacher - Unpaid for 3 months/ No replies

Harrowing experience as a musician, teacher and freelancer.
Every invoice late with poor excuses - no accountability or replies to emails - left being unable to pay for rent.
I haven't been paid since May totalling in well over 2K of unpaid work - no responses from the company after chasing, having no choice but asking the school directly to also reach out who also have heard nothing.
They sent an email to all teachers extending the invoice period to 50 days without teachers consent even though I have already signed a contract stating a a 30 day period.
Now coming to mid august.
Financially in disastrous state with no word from the company.
***Teachers, Musicians - Please do not work with this company under and circumstance I have never felt so exploited as a musician in my life and desperate to retrieve my earnings. **
They have kept the money paid by parents and not paid the teachers.
From reading online from other experiences from teachers I expect they will terminate my work with the school without giving parents reason and repeat this with another person just like me.
My students are fantastic and has been such a pleasure teaching them hence persevering for so long with trying to make this work!!!
From reading reviews below I can see they chase parents via text and email for invoices to be paid same day but won't reply to teachers for months for their monthly invoice. .... honestly a nightmare

DO NOT SIGN UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

My experience with RAD Hub has been nothing short of frustrating from start to finish. Trying to cancel lessons is painful— endless hoops to jump through, no clear process, and absolutely no willingness to make it easy for customers.

Instead of being able to speak to a real human, you’re stuck in a loop of DAILY automated chatbot responses and generic email replies that feel like they’ve been churned out by a machine. It’s infuriating.

When we did have lessons, the quality was shockingly inconsistent. My daughter’s piano lessons scarcely took place due to teacher absence, and some were so poor in content and delivery they barely felt worth attending. There was no sense of a structured plan, no continuity, and certainly no value for money.

Between the terrible communication, the impossible cancellation process, and the disappointing quality of lessons, RAD Hub has been one of the worst servicesI’ve ever had. Steer well clear.

Easy 1,2,3 step guide.

I'm not sure why those that are owed money are not taking action to recover the sums ????, it's simple guys, if you are a so called "Freelancer" then you are self employed and a business owner just like them, and just like them you choose what work you do or not. They rely on you being frightened of them, But please be assured they are not super heroes with super powers...they are debtors and can have their company's goods seized and sold just like you and I can.

Some companies rely on smaller businesses and parents (YOU) walking away thinking they are unable to collect a debt, Companies can grab thousands of pounds from people whom think they don't know how/haven't the strength/haven't the time etc etc... don't fall for their excuses or silence..take them to the small claims court...every last one of you, leave a review here on Trustpilot, seek out every review forum there is and tell your story, admittedly that wont help your money issues but it will save many dozens of Good,Honest,Reliable,Cash Strapped and most of all Talented Music Teachers out there falling for the same bullshit, its a moral duty we all share.

There are literally hundreds of articles online that point you in the right direction to get your money back...Hell, I've posted them on here previously, so read them, take 30 mins out of your day and claim through MCOL (Money Claim On Line) its so simple to use and gets results, You will not get your money back in the short term and may have to wait many months for your case to come up...BUT...it will come.

Make sure any invoice you sent to them is 100% correct, a trick they use is to ban you from the teaching diary portal so you cant double check your invoices/student times etc etc.

Anything that is in the grey area that you cant absolutely prove 100% forget it and remove it from the invoice via a credit note, DO NOT ISSUE A NEW INVOICE FOR A CORRECTED AMOUNT AS YOU WILL JUST HAVE GIVEN THEM ANOTHER 30 DAYS TO PAY THE NEW INVOICE, ISSUE A CREDIT NOTE FOR THE DISPUTED AMOUNT INSTEAD. This way the original invoice issue date still stands and is still over due (minus the credit amount that is)

For example: if they claim your invoice is £xx amount over, then send an Credit Note for £xx. This removes any excuses they had not to pay.

Still no payment ?...read on

1. Send them a LBA (Letter Before Action) totalling what they owe you and give them 7 to 14 days to pay, send them further printed copies of the invoice/s overdue (as they will/can claim they never received the original)...plenty of these LBA docs online for you to download and customise. Its important that everything you do now is provable so send the LBA via RECORDED DELIVERY to get a signature, NEVER SEND EMAILS.

Don't be shocked when you are ignored and they still wont pay.... so.......

2. Search on .Gov for their company name.

3. Make a note of their registered company address. ... this is their accountants address but it is registered as their Registered Office Address.

HINT: Search for TOTALLY RAD SCHOOLS LIMITED on the .Gov results

4. Go to MCOL and ACCURATELY fill the form in.. there is a cost but it is a tiny amount (dependent on amount you are claiming) and these fees are added to the debt.

They have 2 weeks to reply to the claim...

5. If they don't defend or reply the you can ask for a judgement (CCJ) by default.

6. If they then ask later for the default CCJ to be overturned for toss pot reasons (which they probably will) then they will have to engage with the courts and the process can begin in earnest.

99% of the time the issue is settled by messages from the court etc...but in the event these people want to go the whole hog then please be assured its not a huge court with people in wigs and all that jazz, its a person sitting around a table with you and the other side, its all very friendly actually, the judge accepts you are not a legal advocate and he/she will be very helpful to you.

It's all made very easy so the public and companies can get access to justice at a small price.

I have lost count of the deadbeats I have been forced to go this route with....NEVER LOST!

And finally comes the best bit....if they ignore everything you get the pleasure of asking the court to send the bailiffs in, such sweet justice and music to my ears...pun intended.

Please don't be overwhelmed by the above as if I can do it... YOU CAN!!!

All the best to all you Teachers and Parents out there suffering and out of pocket right now.

Current teacher: Non-payment issue

I am a teacher at Totally Rad School for a few months. I started in March, and I have not been paid for May onwards. This is August already. The reason why teachers keep leaving is they were not paid on time or ever. It is insanely difficult to contact for support, and a lot of times their emails are 'out of office'. This is the reason why your children have not been receiving the lessons. Totally Rad has been keeping the money for themselves instead of paying the teachers what they are owed.

Avoid! Can’t uphold their side of the contact yet and wont refund when they’ve said they will!

My daughter had lessons in school with Rad and to begin with it was great. We had maybe 1 term of regular lessons and then came repeated lesson cancellations and promises of new teachers who would never appear! With such big gaps between lessons my daughter was getting nowhere and learning nothing as she’d keep having to go back to the beginning! We were also charged for the odd lesson that was cancelled and these were not added onto our account credit. After being given notice by the school and many dealings with angry parents from the school, Rad said we could be refunded the credit etc on our account. A month later and I’m still being repeatedly fobbed off about when I’m going to receive said refund and despite saying it would be done last week they’re still saying it will be done in due course. They repeatedly ignore emails and can sometimes take days to reply! Absolutely avoid using this company, are so quick to take your money but incredibly reluctant to return it even when they can’t uphold their side of the contract!

Started off ok originally with lesson at school, however this soon spiralled into lessons cancelled at the last minute, taking money for lessons that never happened, broken promises of refunds and automated email replies with no I mention of giving promised refunds. If you are looking at private or school lessons I advise AVOIDING THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Do not waste your money or time, horrendous company

Avoid at all costs (which will be yours)

Whether you are a parent or a prospective employee please read and believe these reviews.
The companies method is to go into a school and sign up students and invoice in advance of lessons. Only then do they employ a teacher which can take months to finalise, whether due to notice periods or enhanced DBS checks. So straight away you are in arrears of lessons. They will employ someone to teach any instrument they do not care. They will then not pay the teacher who will leave, by then they will have taken more money for lessons you will not receive. Sad really as it’s the keen students who suffer.

Your child could end up in a class of 3 completely different standard and age students which is a complete waste of time. To be fair that is the case with all music services in schools, whether council run or private, it is a massive waste of time and money having lessons in school.
I was on the receiving end of their invoicing games. So you work a month then invoice and have to wait 30 days for payment which then doesn’t arrive. Only then will start claiming the times don’t match with what they have in the diary. Bearing in mind how badly they pay this is a matter of pence. So the issue isn’t brought up at the time of invoicing only four days after it was due to be paid.
For clarity I was never paid by this company and was also not willing to work for them after there obvious games and terrible reviews, which unfortunately leaves the students with no teacher and the parents needing refunds which will be a fight I imagine as I don’t think the company have any money.
Avoid at all costs (which will be yours)

Don't waste time signing your child up.

Absolutely awful company - don't waste time signing your child up. My child had a full academic year of guitar lessons and made zero progress. She was only marked as having attended 5 times in the entire year, despite having attended every lesson. Lessons would be cancelled without explanation but still charged for them. I only received one feedback comment from the teacher during the entire year, which I had to ask for. No homework was given. They've now refused to refund my September sessions because I didn't give the required notice, however they billed me early for those sessions (breaching their own T&Cs) but won't admit this. Zero acknowledgement or apology for the shocking service, just patronising emails asking me to point out where the breach is. They then state there is no breach when it's pointed out.

TOTALLY RAD? TOTALLY SHITE!

This is honestly the worst company I have ever worked for. And I've worked for some terrible companies in my time but these lot take the goddam biscuit!

I had worked for them for three months and although the music teaching job itself was fantastic and each day was a great learning experience all of it's own and to see the kids develop and take interest in their chosen instrument was wonderful. The company itself however was absolutely preposterous!

Trying to get answers out of them was like trying to get blood out of a stone and when they did reply back to you it's always an excuse and a re-direction to someone else and when you do go to someone else, it takes them about 5 days to even acknowledge your message let alone respond and when they did it was usually in a condecscening manner as well!

Each month, it was the exact same story. Always had trouble with the pay, even though in their contract it stated that you would be paid in 30 days, last day of every month. That never happened!

Every single time that I was supposed to be getting paid, Josh the man in charge of the invoices who might I add was about as useful as a knitted condom, would always make an excuse to not accept the invoices, primarily regarding it's accuracy for the total estimate agreed in their diary... Which alone makes no sense cause if you already have an estimate of what you're gonna pay me, why on earth do I need to write out an invoice in the first place?

When I first started this job, I had around over 4 thousand pounds in my savings to be used but that's now dropped down to 500 in the space of five months. I was spending more money than earning, getting to and from Bedford every morning which would cost £40 a time which was never reimbursed, and they knew full well about my financial as well other teachers that worked for them's financial situations and wouldn't think twice about putting their workers into debt because they can't be bothered to pay them properly.

The whole attitude of
"Not my problem!'
"Outta sight outta mind!

When of course, it's entirely their problem as the reason we are in debt is because Josh only pays when he feels it seems.

Most of the time in this company, nothing was ever explained or confirmed, you were just supposed to know! For example, if a kid dropped out of taking lessons, they would remove them from the register without telling you. (Also, at the same time continuing to take money from the parents accounts months after they had cancelled their lessons. They have a habit of doing that as well)

They also had a habit of taking advantage of their staff and throwing them into situations without the proper training and proper consent. Of course, in their minds it was a cheaper alternative to have three kids in one session at a time regardless of what age group but how are you supposed to teach one kid who's in reception and the other who is in year 3? That is not going to work because they're not going to be on the same page and before you know it, the lessons turns into a game of plate spinning.

And from a teaching perspective, my heart truly went out to the children and the parents for having to deal with this shit and I am truly so sorry for their unprofessional actions. I honestly would have loved to have continued but I had to get out due to the terrible nature, the organisational skills, no communication, late pay and only 20 minutes to teach.

My advice would be, stay well clear away from these guys in terms of getting lessons. There are other better options available.

Do NOT apply for a job with these lot if you want a substantial income as that ain't gonna happen as they will literally pay you whenever they feel like it.

All of their website and videos are complete nonsense. It's essentially propaganda! They're main concern is online lessons clearly than school lessons so for any school lessons they advertise, stick up your middle finger to it and find a company that actually cares about children's musical education rather than lining their own pockets!

Totally Rad? Totally Shite!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! The reviews speak for themselves. They harass you for money weeks before any lessons have even took place. Bombard you multiple times a day with emails. If only I'd checked here first before signing up! I can only echo what the other bad reviews have said. Lessons cancelled all the time, but still expected to pay weeks and weeks in advance, emails that go ignored and now I have cancelled (hopefully), they owe me a load of money that they have absolutely no intention of refunding. Just an awful experience and really stressful as you can't delete your payment details to stop them taking money off you.

Avoid if you can. Worst company ever

Avoid if you can. Registered my daughter for interest then randomly received an Invoice.
Invoices are raised and expected to be paid within a day, you constantly get chased to pay by text and by email.
Was asked to buy a book for the lesson, daughter (6) got moaned at as it wasn’t bought within a week. Received an email for a link to a cheaper of the version. Purchased that and daughter was moaned at again as it was the wrong book. I emailed to query, and confirmed it was the correct book the teacher got confused as she teaches so many lessons. Class time is meant to be after school however they changed it without telling me to inside school time.
Have tried to cancel, chase multiple times and since that email I’ve been sent 11 chasers to pay an Invoice for September….it was raised in June.
Finally was told i was told a school terms notice which is ridiculous as there is plenty of time between June and September. Then to make matters worse they’ve added a late fee…it’s late because of the time it’s taken to get a reply!!
Will never use again.

Untrustworthy! They took my money. Avoid at all costs!

Avoid this company at all costs. My son started piano lessons through them at his school. The first teacher was excellent, but after they left, we went months without a replacement. The next teacher barely lasted a few sessions before quitting as well. Due to the lack of consistency and overall unprofessional approach, I decided to cancel the lessons.

To make matters worse, they charged my card £65 without authorisation. I've been trying to get a refund ever since. They promised a refund over a month ago, yet I’ve had to chase them daily with no resolution.

Completely unreliable and untrustworthy. Stay away.
