DO NOT USE TOTAL WIRELESS

DO NOT USE TOTAL WIRELESS. WARNING: customer service is a joke. I bought 2 new phones and 2 new service plans (it wouldn't let me check out without adding the plans) on May 5th. My account service was still active until May 15th so the service plans went into "reserve" on my account. May 16th, my phone is shut off at 4 in the morning but not my husband's. I contacted TW and they couldn't understand why that happened and after over an hour of trying, they reactive my phone. Then, that night around 10pm, both of our phones stop working- talk text and data. I was forced to add service plans for our phones (I just paid $80 on May 5th for this very thing) to be able to contact them. I asked them to use my 80 in reserve and refund me what I just purchased to contact them. The person was rude and told me I should have contacted them before adding another plan. I was on vacation and both our phones just stopped. What else could I have done? They said, "so you apparently want a refund for $80?" I said yes and they closed the chat. I tried again, I was told they would process the refund and it should be in my account in 5 days. 9 business days later, no refund. I've tried relentlessly to contact them via chat and phone today and just sit on hold or the agent quits the chat. We plan to switch to a new provider soon. We've been with total for 3 years and this is a crappy way to treat their customers.

Total Incompetence

By far the most incompetent company I've ever had to deal with. Their customer service phone number is a direct line to the dumbest people on earth. They will do absolutely nothing to fix your problem, but they may make it worse. And you'll spend hours explaining yourself to them in the process.

Stay away if you value your time, money and sanity.

Besides horrible connection issues

Besides horrible connection issues. They have a feature to pause your service for up to 90 days without losing your number. DON'T do it! I spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service to reactivate the phone that was paused. They reactivated it but the number changed. I told them it wasn't the same number. So they started all over again to retrieve the number. Activated it again and the number changed AGAIN! Said they wasn't able to retrieve the original one. "False advertisement" on the pause service.
Then I log into my account only to find that they've added 2 extra plans that I know nothing about.
VERIZON! You ruined everything good about Total when you took over.
6 years I've been a customer, but count me out after my plan expires

Never honored pricing

I signed up for a plan that was supposed to be $20 a month. The first payment was fine. When it was time for the second payment the price said $40. I called and talked and chatted with SEVERAL agents, multiple tickets created etc and the price was never fixed and they said they could not give me back my $20. Even thought they said it would be given back to me. Do not trust this company and the customer service is atrocious! Also all non American agents. Run! Don't waste your time or your money. It was a classic bait and switch.

Poor Customer Service

I wanted to give Total Wireless another try and before I could even transfer my number over I have been having problems getting the phone I ordered and when I tried to called several times to get some information everybody give me different answers and none were correct. I had to go on reddit to get the correct info on what was going on with the motorola 2025. The customer service was giving me the run around.

NON-EXISTANT CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Only been a client of Total Wireless for 1 month and already want to cancel my subscription. I moved over from Verizon.

The service is about the same however customer service is non-existant! You CANNOT OUTSOURCE technical support and hope that AI can cover everything else. Chat freezes after they say they are connecting you. Took me 3 hrs over the phone to help a family member also transfer over. They had technical issues and he did not have access to his account for 3 weeks so was unable to register for Total Rewards. Now he has access but they tell him his reward account was created, without his consent, and he can no longer put a referral code in. I have been on the phone 8 calls today, 3 hrs and keep getting hung up on when I start talking. They do not speak english and DO NOT understand any issues outside of a script. TERRIBLE and considering moving back to Verizon

Worst customer service I have ever…

Worst customer service I have ever received. Bought a 40 SIM card/plan. The SIM card only worked 2 days and stopped. I called customer service to be on the phone for 2 hours, transferred to 6 diff people. 2 of which said I would be refunded, and then the rest argued saying I wouldn’t be. I finally talked to someone who took my info and my card and said the refund would be available in 7 days. It’s been 2 weeks and still no refund. I call back and the lady said nothing was processed.

Dissatisfied Customer

I am getting ready to discontinue their services. First of all why can we purchase 20 unlimited talk, text and data without have to call customer services. The only have 10 dollar data. Why do the ask you for credit card cvv code when purchasing something online. Not able to get to customer service line seels like it's blocked. Same on online chat. I purchased minutes it keeps saying" see your service is close to its expiration date. I buy minutes it does not send me updates. Would you like to refill your account?"It seems like my phone is connected Somewhere I am just a tag along.

Who's responsable total wirless ?

Went in Total wirless store to get a phone account . Well I got an account alright 'the "total wirless employee "open 2 phone lines on my credit builder card & took 85$ cash ! I didn't know this happend until I couldn't get in my total wireless account , after calling & trying to chat on line with total wireless like the 6 th time I got a confirmation # that I would be refunded 55$ to my account t for one of the lines that I wasn't aware of. I wasn't happy because the store had got me for over 185$ in my account someone else's " store employee' name and out of country telephone number instead of mine . I was told that the number would be shut off & no longer be able to work . When I repeatedly chatted or call customer service they tell me they couldn't do anything to notify my bank for refund or ho back to store .asking to talk to a supervisor repeatedly they flat told me I could not do so . I called about the 55$ confirmation number only to be hung up on . Told they didn't know what inwas talking about & finally I was told that both lines still where active & that even tho i didn't authorize the phone or line I WAS STILL GOING TO BE held accountable for it !?This confirmation # I was given would not be good since the other line remained working all month .? HUH? NO WAY right ? my account85$ cash payment or card 100$ payment because they have no authority to credit back my card ? how sorry she was that she would NOT INTERPRET my service tell Thursday at midnight which I could then have gotten paid from my job to PAY THEM ANOTHER MONTH of service so I could remain active & s t I'll use my device !! Seriously? What the heck ? How does this happen ? I don't understand how I can walk into a place that provides a aPhone service which NO ONE can do anything anymore without , and a store can purchase a device that they prefer on the customers credit builder card & The company DOESENT KEEP YOUR SERVICE ACTIVE ? I have been on the phone repeatedly I filed a dispute against them BUT THE STORE WORKER put this charge LLC SERVICES so after waiting weeks sending screen shots & conversations I had to " CHIME" I could not be aware a temporary credit due to on my credit builder card and then it wasn't THROUFH total wirless so I will NOW HAVE TO FILE NEW DISPUTE with them on this LLC SERVICES WHICH in the mean time I GET NO CREDIT TEMPORY because it's credit builder card account not just my CHIME then I still won't have any service cause it's interrupted because t he 185$ instore ripe off got me ZERO BUT FREE PHONE so no credit for other line no credit HEADACHE I am still going through , none for the other phone I purchased & had no enjoyment from ,CANT EVEN GET ON THE INTERNET OR MAKE OR TAKE A PHONE CALL ! SO WHOS RESPONSABLE not TOTAL WIRELESS NOT CHIME MY CARD PROVIDER Iguess even the confirmation # month service refund ( lied ) corporate lady t that she personally would make sure that my service wouldnt get interupted tell my pay day thursday this week wasnt even honest with me ! my job requires me to have phone service now i am in jepordy of LOSING MY JOB . DR horrible company

I signed up a few months ago. Opened their website and put money in my wallet thinking my payments will come out of that. I was very wrong. My service was shut off three times. I called the 611611. Convenient when your phone is deactivated. I was told my phone wasn’t connected to that account. When he fixed that the money disappeared. I have documentation comfirming the payments from before this. I have tried twice to get this fixed. Their customer service is horrible. They claim they didn’t receive the transactions and I should contact my bank. The documents were printed from their website

As soon as Total Wireless was taken…

As soon as Total Wireless was taken over by Verizon prices increased and those of us on the lowest plan can no longer access our account via the app. Very poor customer service. I switched to Mint Mobile AND i can use an app for my account. It’s also 10 dollars cheaper a month for same coverage and plan.

$20.00 / year for 5 years is a HOAX

Signed up for the $20.00 / year for 5 years. Brought my own phone with me. Said I was not eligible as I didn't bring from another cell phone provider. Excuse me but I did. Consumer cell. These people need to be sued as they have false advertising. Thinking seriously of finding an attorney and suing the crap out of them.
2. Had a hard time understanding the person in customer service. Very apologetic for someone who's fault it isn't. BEWARE OF THIS SHAME COMPANY / VERIZON
