A public transport NIGHTMARE

I was there for the Fury v Makhmudov boxing.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a public transport NIGHTMARE. Dangerous overcrowding, bottleneck crushes, randomly shut down train stations, and a surrounding transit intrastructure unequipped to handle large crowds. Every route out of there jammed to a complete standstill. Rude, unhelpful & untrained attendants telling 65,000 people to get on the replacement bus service. Seriously?

The anguished look of utter despair on the faces of thousands of stranded people who knew they were going to miss their last train home, and with all cabs charging triple fares taken, their only option left was to walk. Those that walked to Seven Sisters tube station found a scene that looked like a war zone, with emergency services at full stretch.

Add to this the random fist fights breaking out everywhere amongst Tyson "The Gypsy King" Fury's core support, an alcohol & drug fuelled freakshow with barely a braincell between them.

The stadium looks like a giant inter-galactic spaceship has crash-landed in the worst s***hole in London. What were they thinking when they built the place? You idiots. It can NEVER be called "world class" until quick & safe passage to & from there is assured. And I for one will not be coming back until it is. It took me 3.5 hours to get back home to Crystal Palace, and I was fortunate compared to those living further afield.

A good night out (and an expensive one at that) ruined by the horrendous experience either side of it.

NOT AN INCLUSIVE FOOTBALL CLUB

I'm deaf and non-vocal with limited mobility, I'm a wheelchair user.

Apparently, because I'm disabled I'm different from the next person and not permitted to purchase a membership online. According to "Charlotte" at the club, she claims memberships are sold online depending on the individual?
This is an example of the rubbish I've been putting up with at this club.

Spurs official site hopeless

Spurs official site hopeless. You open it to a shopping page. NO X to remove it No way past it...
Spurs you are shameless gutter snipes.... comes the day people vote with their wallets and not pay you anything.
Means we will lose the club and team we care about and also lose the dross people at the top. Such is life.
You don't deserve us fans

I had a terrible experience with…

I had a terrible experience with ticketing. I had purchased two tickets under my CRN but could not be assigned 2. They communicated that a One Hotspur membership had to be purchased to receive the ticket despite having already purchased the ticket. I asked for a refund and received no communication on it. We finally bought another CRN because we thought the club was ignoring us. We emailed back with the new CRN and they tell us that the ticket has been refunded (despite never communicating it) and that we can buy another one. No tickets were available next in the same section. Moody and childish responses, as well. Poor representatives of the club.

We won’t be renewing our memberships or purchasing yearly family kits anymore.

Disappointing start to our travelling there for the game.

Failed to do what they promised

Club have put in a new ticket sharing scheme which doesn’t work. Called the ticket office who promised to resolve in today so a friend could use a ticket which wouldn’t be used due to sickness. However, nothing has happened so ticket will go to waste.

Tottenham staff THRICE tried to BLOCK my truthful, factual review of their hostility to me

Tottenham staff tried to block my previous review (which is available to read below this one) of them from ever being posted on Trustpilot. It seems they have claimed the profile to try and get reviews blocked or removed rather than to give polite, helpful replies to them. My review was honest, detailed, truthful, factual, heartfelt and necessary, yet the reason they gave Trustpilot for flagging my review was "defamation" which is a blatant lie! In fact, it is Tottenham who sent an extremely defamatory, lying and slanderous email from Sainsburys about me to my employers, damaging my reputation in the eyes of my employers and causing me to lose much work and pay. As a result of them flagging my review I then suffered more stress and had to spend time constructing a defence against their "defamation" accusation.

I had many points to make in my favour: UK Solicitor Harry Kinmonth of RPC, a media law firm, said in a Financial Times article: “IN DEFAMATION LAW, HONEST OPINION IS A DEFENCE AGAINST ANY CLAIM. So you are able to express any opinions you want, as long as they are honestly held and based on some sort of fact or experience". But with me it wasn't just "opinion", it was the TRUTH and in fact, TRUTH IS A COMPLETE DEFENCE AGAINST DEFAMATION CLAIMS!

All I did was honestly state the facts and tell my story. I didn't name any individuals so how could I cause "serious harm to someone's reputation. Defamation applies to individuals, not corporations. My defence was successful as Trustpilot told me I hadn't breached ANY of the guidelines! Of course, the Tottenham staff knew it wasn't defamation. They just had a look at the guidelines and looked for one they could use against me but they failed.

But guess what? That wasn't enough for these nameless, faceless but hostile Tottenham staff, because when I edited my review simply to add that Tottenham had tried to block my review, on the next day, 24th December 2024, I got yet another email from Trustpilot saying that Tottenham thinks my review belongs on another business's page. They tried again to get my review removed from their page! One wonders what they will try for this review.

Update: Indeed on the 29th December 2025 I yet again got an email from Trustpilot stating Tottenham had flagged my review for "harmful or illegal content", but less than 2 hours later Trustpilot decided there was nothing wrong I wrote!

I want to make it clear I am a black man that they, part of the English Premier League, are doing this to! They think they should be able to pass on many harmful ACTUAL LIES about me to my work and get me fired from working at the stadium without any chance to defend myself or knowing the case against me, then keep my mouth shut about it and not be able to give my side and expose their appalling behaviour! According to them I shouldn't able to expose the lies they peddled about me. They tried to SILENCE ME!

They also emailed the Carlisle Head of Operations, CT, who then got a Human Resources woman, MM, to send me a nasty, threatening letter accusing me of "defamation". CT had previously said he would call me to "go through it all" with me and get my side but never, ever called, even though I waited at home all day on the day he told me he would call, and he ignored several emails and even a legal Subject Access Request. He never told me about the lying, defamatory Sainsburys email he was sent by Tottenham, to give me a chance to refute it. MM was part of the HR team that treated my letter to the CEO, which I wrote when CT refused to reply, with contempt, sweeping it under the carpet. MM didn't say a thing about all the lies I complained about. Instead she made a point of saying that I referred to my "ethnicity". About my review she told me "If it happens again, there will be disciplinary action." And yet I wasn't even working for them when I wrote the review because the Zero Hours Contract I signed said I only worked for them during the hours I signed in and out at the venues.

The Tottenham staff tried to intimidate me by trying to first block my review from being posted, then trying to get it moved and getting my work Carlisle Support Services to threaten me, but I'd already decided to stop working for them due to the appalling, demoralising, abusive treatment I've received from them, the dishonesty and lack of support.

I've found the appalling and abusive treatment I've received from Tottenham, Sainsburys and Carlisle to be par for the course in England as you will see if you read most of my other reviews.

I'm still going to write the Tottenham owner about his appalling, abusive, bullying staff!

An amazing day spent at Europes best football stadium. Staff extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The skywalk dare was incredible, even though I backed out just as I got to the cockeral, my wife had a thoroughly wonderful time.
The amount of things to do and places to see is totally day consuming. A great family day out.
Well done and thanks to all staff.
