Hello Rosemary,

We’re really pleased to hear you found the training valuable and that the tutors made a strong impact. Creating an environment where people feel supported while gaining practical, actionable knowledge is exactly what we aim for.

It’s great to see you encouraging others to take that first step as well; making a positive change always starts with that decision.

High-ticket sales scam

I’m honestly quite gutted by the level of scamming I feel is involved with Touchstone Education. I’ve been following Abi Hookway and Paul Smith for years and have read all of their books. They genuinely came across as professional and well-intentioned, which is why I signed up for their free webinar after seeing a Facebook ad.

There were already some signs that things felt off, but I still went ahead and paid £99 for the two-day course. I’m now on the second day, and it’s clear to me that it has largely been a waste of time relative to the value provided.

There’s very little practical or commercial insight for anyone who already has even a basic understanding of UK property investing. The entire structure feels geared towards inexperienced or vulnerable individuals who may be more easily persuaded. The presenter Gordie, I believe — especially when Abi wasn’t present — was quite revealing in terms of tone and delivery, and made the overall intent feel more sales-driven than educational with his mannerisms.

My honest advice: stay away. Keep your hard-earned money and educate yourself independently. You don’t need this level of handholding for £15k — the actual value of the information and connections simply doesn’t justify that price point.

Hello Francis,

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.

We understand that this type of training may not suit everyone, and participants will naturally take different things from the experience depending on where they are in their journey.

That said, the two-day event you’ve described is often cited by others as a turning point; a real eye-opener that provides clarity, confidence, and the foundation to move forward and join the Academy.

The essence of the Academy is providing structure, specialised and streamlined support from CPD-accredited coaches, alongside access to proven property strategies and a network of like-minded individuals and investors.

Even experienced investors attend and find value in this approach, as it complements prior knowledge while opening doors to new opportunities and faster, more informed decision-making.
Our aim is to give participants practical frameworks, real-world guidance, and a clear pathway to act with confidence.

Of course, whether it resonates will depend on the individual, but the structure, coaching, and community are designed to deliver tangible outcomes.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback.

Still getting bombarded with text messages

I wrote on here about getting bombarded by texts, even though I had tried to stop these (number you’ve to send stop to doesn’t work). I had a reply to this today they’d removed me from their list, yet today I’m getting texts again. Please people unless you are really interested in getting involved with this company DO NOT hand over your phone number etc as they won’t stop contacting you. I’m so fed up of them now.

The Touchstone journey so far.

I joined Touchstone at the back end of November 2025.

I'd returned home from a holiday of a lifetime after my role was made redunant. I didn't know what I was going to do or where to take my next steps in my career, however, I knew something needed to be change

The past 4 months Touchstone has provided me the knowledge, experience and platform to find that next step - becoming a property investor.

Now I am taking huge leaps towards taking control of my future and providing a service to help others build a strong foundation for their futures too.

A massive shout out to Mel Richards and Chris Dornan, who have both been amazing coaches have helped me shape my direction and target my focus, which has directly enabled me to take these steps in my new direction.

A special shoutout to Mel, she has gone above and beyond to ensure my goals align with my direction, referred me to her contracts to ensure that I am set up for success. Whilst always being approachable, knowledgable and continuing to smiling even through challenging moments.

One thing that has always stuck with me, is "Go for No" - you have to put youself out there to make a success.

Touchstone will give you the tools and the support but you and I have to do the work!

Hello Ty,

Thank you for sharing your journey so openly; it’s clear how much you’ve embraced the process over the past few months. Going through redundancy and using that as a turning point to take control of your future is no small step, and it’s great to see you channelling that into building something new through property.

We’re really pleased to hear how Mel and Chris have supported you along the way. Having coaches who not only guide your direction but genuinely invest in your progress makes a huge difference, and it’s fantastic that Mel has gone the extra mile to help you get set up for success.

“Go for No” is a powerful mindset to carry forward, and you’ve clearly taken that on board. As you said, we provide the tools and support but it’s the action you’re taking that’s driving your progress.

Keep going, Ty; this is just the beginning of what you’re building.

I signed up to the wealth academy on a…

I signed up to the wealth academy on a Sunday morning just before I got a call from my son's rugby coach to say he had been badly hurt in match. After numerous trips back and forth to the hospital over the week I had a complete change of heart and decided I didn't have the headspace for this at the moment. As I was still within my 14 days and hadn't accepted the terms and conditions this should of been quite straight forward.
It was not straightforward, I was subjected to a high pressured sales call after I was informed my request was being "reviewed" which could take up to 5 days. Even when I explained to the man how poorly my son was he just kept banging on about keeping going with the course. Eventually after I had said no for about the 100th time he agreed I could have a refund.
I'm really disappointed in them for putting me through this, like Abi, I'm also a single parent and wonder how she would feel if it was her son and someone dismissed her worries about her son having a bad head injury so easily. I'm pretty sure she would be horrified,
Thankfully I have my refund now and an put the whole thing behind me.

Hello Helen,

Firstly, we’re very sorry to hear about your son’s injury. That must have been an incredibly stressful and worrying time for you, and we sincerely hope he is now recovering well.

We also want to clarify that, based on your circumstances and the fact that your request met the terms and conditions, your refund was processed accordingly. Once this was confirmed, the refund was issued and completed.

Our intention is always to ensure that individuals are supported in making the right decision for their situation.

This was why, as part of our standard process, a member from the customer success team reached out during the refund request. This is not to impose a decision, nor was it a sales call but to understand your situation and see how we can best support you both in the immediate term and, if appropriate, in the future.

We appreciate that in your case, your priority was rightly your son, and your decision was respected. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and wish you and your family all the very best moving forward.

After the experience on 17th March

After the experience on 17th March - 20th reflecting deeply over the weekend, it was a misleading online training course sold to me, that they put me under pressure through WhatsApp messages and on the platform inistigating me so l will sign up. It put me in so much debt that could affect my credit rating. I have been so stressed over the weekend constantly thinking on how to pay back the debt and the monthly subscription.l am glad l realised within the 14 days cooling off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It is a lesson learnt to stay away from such adverts in future. A Adebayo

Very good education

Very good education, I learnt quite a lot although as many have said this was about 70 pitching to join the academy and 30% education but good value for the £100.

I would have loved to have joined but as I have a partner that is risk adverse and wasn’t prepared to sit and listen to the opportunity, I had to say no.

My gut reaction having not joined is that this is a very viable way to fast track your knowledge meaning you make money quicker, as opposed to researching and learning all the tricks of the trade yourself, possible making expensive mistakes on the way.

Thank you for the education.

CON ARTISTS AND SALES MEN/WOMEN

Absolute sales men and women Abi Hookway is a fraud with a very sweet talking mouth to wrangle you out of £10k to join a wealth academy that actually gives you nothing if you do not continue to pay £500 every month forever. The support is little to none and the refund process is none existent, they find way and reason to get out of giving your money back. I've not made a penny and just forking out these monthly payments are painful. DON'T DO IT!

Hello Amari,

Touchstone Education provides structured training, resources, and ongoing support designed to help individuals build knowledge and take action in property.

Like any education programme, results are dependent on how the material is applied, and we do not guarantee outcomes.

In relation to your request for a refund, this has been reviewed in line with our terms and conditions. As you have already accessed the training materials, resources, and support available within the programme, you are not eligible for a refund. These terms are made clear at the point of enrolment.

We also strongly refute the suggestion that our programme “gives nothing.” Thousands of students actively engage with the education, coaching, and community to progress their journeys. That said, we recognise that experiences can vary, and we are always open to constructive dialogue on how we can better support our students.

If you would like to discuss your situation further or explore how to make the most of the support available, we would encourage you to contact our team directly.

The two biggest mistakes of my life….

The two most expensive mistakes of my life: 1) joining Touchstone - £14,995 2) investing in two off plan investments via their sister company Redmayne Smith - circa £100,000 with other associated costs.
The Common denominators:
Paul Smith
Aniko Smith
Abi Hookway
Gordie Dutfield.

I am writing this as someone who is now facing the very real possibility of losing a significant portion of my life savings after being introduced to off-plan property investments through the ecosystem (sales funnel) surrounding Touchstone Education and Redmayne Smith.

The recent The Sunday Times article titled “Time to tackle online property gurus?” is not a general commentary on the industry — it is specifically about Touchstone and Redmayne Smith, and it highlights serious concerns regarding the promotion of off-plan property investments to students and the outcomes many are facing.

After watching the response video by Paul and Aniko, I was struck not by transparency, but by how the central issue was avoided.

The core concern — the sale of off-plan investments to students and the financial consequences — was not properly addressed. Instead, the response relied heavily on a headline statistic: 89 complaints out of 25,000 (0.35%).

In my opinion, this figure is highly misleading.

It is unclear what the 25,000 represents. If this number includes everyone captured in a marketing database — such as individuals who attended free webinars or introductory sessions — then it has no relevance to the actual risk faced by those who proceeded to invest.

More importantly, this statistic completely sidesteps the only question that matters:
👉 What proportion of people introduced to off-plan investments via Redmayne Smith have experienced financial loss or adverse outcomes?

Without that figure, the 0.35% statistic is, in my view, meaningless.

It is also important to recognise that formal complaints do not reflect the true scale of the issue. Many individuals do not submit official complaints despite experiencing serious financial consequences.

There are independent groups of affected individuals — referenced publicly — where a growing number of people are sharing similar experiences. The existence and growth of these groups alone raises serious doubts about how representative the 0.35% figure really is.

Equally concerning is how criticism appears to be handled.

Comments raising legitimate questions — including my own — were removed from YouTube under the official response video. This gives the impression that critical voices are being filtered out rather than addressed. Similar patterns have been observed in private communication channels, where individuals who question or challenge are excluded.

This creates, in my opinion, a controlled narrative where:

Risks are not fully acknowledged

Negative outcomes are not openly discussed

New participants are not exposed to balanced information

Finally, the repeated justification that Touchstone Education and Redmayne Smith are “separate entities” does not resolve the concern. When one appears to act as a direct pathway into the other, the distinction becomes largely theoretical from the perspective of a student or investor.

At a minimum, transparency would require:

Disclosure of how many off-plan investors have suffered losses

Clear data on how many refunds have been issued

A direct and honest response to the concerns raised in the media

Until those questions are answered clearly, I would strongly urge extreme caution to anyone considering engaging with these programmes or associated investment opportunities.

This review reflects my personal experience and observations.

Hello Sheila,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We recognise the seriousness of what you’ve raised and understand the impact situations like this can have.

However, we do need to be clear on an important point: Touchstone Education is an education provider. We deliver training, coaching, and support to help individuals understand property strategies and make informed decisions. We do not sell, manage, or advise on specific investments, and we do not have any control over the operations, decisions, or outcomes of third-party companies, including Redmayne Smith. They are a separate entity, and we do not interfere with or influence their activities.

We appreciate that, from your perspective, there may feel like a connection. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of each individual to carry out their own due diligence and seek independent professional advice before entering into any investment. This is something we consistently encourage throughout our training.

In terms of your comments around transparency and communication, we take this feedback seriously. Our intention is not to avoid or suppress constructive criticism, but to ensure that discussions remain fair, accurate, and respectful. Where moderation has taken place, it is typically to maintain that standard rather than to silence concerns.

We understand that this does not change your personal experience, and we do not dismiss that. If you would like to raise specific issues or seek further clarification, we would encourage you to contact the relevant parties directly regarding any investment matters, or reach out to our support team if your concern relates to your experience with Touchstone itself.

We remain committed to improving how we communicate and support our students, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.
