Piazza rug from Toulemend Bochart looses thickness

I ordered the Piazza rug from Toulemond Bochart and was told it would take 2 weeks for delivery. Actual delivery time was 8 weeks. When it arrived, I was quite happy with the thick, plush, soft feeling of the rug. This was one of the reasons I picked this style rug. However, after vacuum cleaning a few times, it lost it's thickness. Seems the vacuum cleaner was pulling out the fibers of the rug. I am dissapointed with the quality of this rug considering the expensive price I paid.
