Great site but need an improvement.

A great place to sort your original characters and story but there is an issue that I'm not happy with.
I submitted a page that I worked on for an hour and I received an error message about the image that I attached to the page being too large for the server. Instead of giving me the chance to fix the image, my hard work was deleted instead. I'm devastated and upset.

great

The site is great. Hosting they got is really nice and I feel like my characters and art is safe there.

I don't get people complaining about admins doing nothing? Like, it's a site like every other site, you HAVE to be careful because site as big as th is hard to moderate 24/7. If you lack basic internet safety knowledge or if you're scared of blocking people for some reason, then internet in general is not for you.

Stay away from Toyhouse

I advise staying away from this site. Toyhouse has great features and a nice design, but the userbase is toxic and dangerous. The administrator never replies to reports and due to the lack of moderation drama on site is amplified. I have been publicly sexually harassed, stalked, slandered, verbally abused and nothing has been done about it. There are constantly crimes being committed onsite. adults showing porn to minors and defamation being the most common. toyhouse has been referred to as a watered-down version of Kiwi farms.

For child safety keep minors off this site. This is not an appropriate community for them. And I'd advise you as an adult to choose a nicer and moderated community.

I hope one day to see Toyhouse get some decent moderators and clean up their act to make the site safer for everyone. But until then, it is an unsafe platform.

Horrible site

This site freaking sucks. Got banned for no reason, then when I sent multiple emails over the span of two days, they went unseen. However, the ONE TICKET I sent seemed to go seen, as both my alt account (which I've had for a month now!!) and my main account immediately got permanently banned the day after.
Don't use this site. If they find reason to not like you, you're going to lose all the work you put into it. And by that I mean everything.

This website is ABSOLUTELY horrible

This website is ABSOLUTELY horrible. There’s so much harassment and “callout posts” over things that aren’t even bad. The admin has also let someone steal $80 from me. They do not monitor anything. Adults blatantly harass minors and there’s tons of leaking/doxxing. Please stay away from this community, everyone on this site will witchhunt you. They also track your IP address. WTH is wrong with this site???

No Moderation, no rules, just a scam.

They will Never get back to your support tickets. Never ever. I have waited upwards of 4 years for a support ticket to be answered in regards to a copyrighted character being used as an oc. The admins do not care about their users and the option to pay for a "premium membership" for the site is worthless because it does Nothing for you other than cosmetic features. They will allow harassment and endless callouts but will Never get back to you. If your account gets banned, sorry bout ya! They will not ever get back to you about appealing bans or account locks. You will lose Everything you have uploaded to your toyhouse account if they decide to ban you, and they will give you No Warning when they do it. You will not get access to Anything on your account. Its bad!

Not Reccomended

Not a good social environment. They will ban you without warning for off-site activities. It's weird and a major over reach of power. Several of my friends have lost access to images of their characters forever because of this. I understand having content rules about what is and isn't allowed, but this is absurd and a really childish way to run a website.

I hate how the Admins treat the community

I hate how the Admins have treated the community for the past years, theyre literally more often then not no where able to be found, they mass deleted characters or useres with out contacting them stating theyve broken any rules or TOS and then disappear again!

Nightmare dumpster fire extravaganza

Well, it was nice having somewhere to store all of my characters, art, commissions, and shop for new character designs... until I was banned without warning and had every trace of writing and art DELETED! The singular staff member who runs the site refuses to get back to me about my hundreds of dollars worth of art, once you're banned DO NOT expect help from their "staff" about getting anything back.
Toyhouse is run like a cliquey private server, the "admin" couldn't care less about you. Store your characters somewhere else.

Lots of problems (staff, system, etc)

Don't get me wrong the layout is great and easy to work with. However, there's so many things wrong with it. People's accounts are getting banned arbitrarily and without warning and they're losing everything including characters and art they spent money on (Do not trust Toyhouse.se, back your stuff up in multiple places.)
Another thing is the mods. There's only one or two. They're not great at handling situations and have stolen characters and given them to other users without proof of ownership, just because a user made a false claim. Y'all need to get evidence to make sure you're not helping someone steal. Then, there's the new "bot protection" thing. There's no Captcha or anything, no. It's random and prevents users from logging in because "our system suspects you are a bot." I don't message people or do anything suspicious, I've had my account since 2022, but it will not let me log in. If I ever get back in I'm tempted to take all my stuff off there and go off site.

Awful staff and members

Fascist site staff that ban you without warning and without chance of defending or explaining yourself. Hosts media that supports and calls for violence and genocide, actively allows their users to witch-hunt and slander people. Will ban you for your activity OUTSIDE of their site, would not recommend 0/10 highly overhyped

Toyhou.se was one of the first websites

Toyhou.se was one of the first websites I trusted. It really stuck out to me compared to the other websites I traded collecting characters, buying, or selling. Toyhouse is very well protected, their services really take care of characters and the people who participate. I have not ever met a predator or scammer, or troll. Im not saying it isn't possible, but the community is so well put together that if you did all you have to do is tell a couple of people and they will make sure whoever that person is will be banned from the website. So I can assure you your kid will be much safer on here than amino apps, Instagram, youtube, Snapchat. As such those websites you can post your face to and see nudity with no protection, full of other predators because those websites are more open to the public than toyhouse is. You need a code to get into toyhouse, and yes it can be hard to find one, but it gets people more motivated to join rather than having troll or scammers making multiple free accounts and destroying the website. You put in an age then if your under 18 it WILL put a filter so you would never see nudity if you are underaged. Toyhouse is also a great place to improve your art, and designs at no cost. You upload a design and depending how good it is you can make a bank, with %100 profit to yourself. Its also a place with really active people so if you do good with art you'll more or less likely to be seen and become an artist with multiple requests to be commissioned. Its a really great way for younger people(or teens) to express themselves since drawing is a hobby that has peaked interest in those ages. I like how there is also no in-app currency, like amino apps you could buy coins to buy adoptables. But the problem is that more than %40 of the characters on there are stolen because amino does not have an effective way to have characters verified, like toyhouse.

A dangerous echo chamber

Are you a creator with any integrity whatsoever? Do you explore and appreciate creative freedom? Then stay as far away from toyhou.se as possible.

Toyhou.se is nothing but a gross echo chamber of people who do not allow a smidge of creative freedom. If you are not following along with their herd mentality, with art or OCs that follow their general consensus of what is acceptable, you will be harassed and probably banned.

I myself was told I was "suspicious" because quite often I would find myself venting (on the appropriate board) about a topic quite close to my heart and that I deal with, in real life, on a regular basis: being a short adult and having to fight for every ounce of respect I ever receive. Since this is important to me, I would often make OCs that dealt with similar themes. I was immediately gaslighted into believing there was something wrong with me, and that anyone who ever interacted with me respectfully and as an adult was mentally deranged or sick, because clearly, my being short somehow trumps my legal adult status and I should be treated as a child.

Please be aware I have been a legal adult for a long, long time. I remember a time before AOL. The majority of toyhou.se would prefer, I suppose, if I simply wasted away until I "looked my age"? Or perhaps they would like me to change myself utterly by expensive, invasive surgeries, just because my genetics are different than theirs.

They have no concept that someone may write something in fiction, and not agree with it in reality.

Stay far, far away from the site and the people who say it's a safe, friendly space.

Great website

The users may be fewer than other popular websites but it’s got a great community and you seldom (even don’t) hear about cyber bullies and drama.

I appreciate how it’s not another scroll-and-like feed. Let’s also point out customization and settings being VERY extensive. I recommend this website to anyone who wants their original characters seen :)

Good staff, never had any problems.

You actually get warnings if you unknowingly break rules instead of just being banned then and there, users are very civil and you rarely get any stupid internet drama or gossip-obsessed people on there, as the staff doesn't tolerate it. They respond to inquiries fairly quickly. You generally stick to yourself but that's how I like it.

I love this site

I love this site, have been using it for a few years now. It's a great OC storing site to put all your writing and art together as well as forum activities and so on.

Sometimes errors happen or the site isn't reachable but it only lasts for a couple minutes then it's back up. (Probably server refresh or similar)

Overall I can recommend it. You need an invite to join but it's worth it.

Niche Art Site

Amazing art-related site. Invite-only has served it well and so far it's THE best service for character storage and organization. Clean UI, straight-forward functionality, regularly updated, and trustworthy. Have also had no issues with payment for premium.

I use this site religiously not only to keep track of my own OCs but to find new ones to draw when I'm bored.
