I've had a Yaris Cross self charging hybrid for two and a half years now. The tiny 12v battery won't hold a charge for more than two days without locking me out and needing the AA. I am now par... See more

Corruption in Toyota and Lexus
Corruption in Toyota and Lexus
I trust Toyota and Lexus cars in that extend that I have had either Toyota or Lexus during past thirty years. I have however become disappointed by finding out that ther is corruption in the dealership organisation at least in Gothenborg.
The reason I discovered this corroption is the bad behaviour that Michael Aleros in Lexus Gothenborg has shown repeatedly. That made me sensitive and curious. The result was that he treats badly those custumers who dont mean extra money for him.
Last time when I was bringing my car from service, the mechanic told to Michael "wait" and then turned to me and said "your Brake Discs need to be changed next service".
I handle my car carefully and I drive mostly long distances. That means Brake Discs in my new Lexus should not be thorn out after just two years.
I went out and checked them. They are almost as new Brake Discs.
I call this corruption and nothing else. Of course, many people who dont know much about cars pay lots of money for unnecessary reparations.
That made me think further.
For less than two years ago when I left my three years old Toyota Camry back to the dealership I left even winterdecks. I never thought I had bought them myself and the dealer did not say a word and took them.
As much as I trust Toyota and Lexus cars I could not imagine there is such low persons in dealerships.
I have purchased a 2016 Toyota aygo
I have purchased a 2016 Toyota aygo. 30 000. Since i had it , it has leaked into boot , ceiling etc . I reviewed the issue online and it seems to be an issue with Th Toyota aygo. So i decided to ask and email head office to see if they could fix . Not having the funds to do myself . I spent my savings on car !!!!! I read this was a design fault and happened to these cars from 2014 onwards . They have refused to help Asking me to get an inspection done £167 then pay for fixing . The water is leaking out and into 3rd break light , where there is also wiring . Every time i open it floods out . I now have car covered in plastic bags and towels to try and stop further damage . The condensation in car is terrible . I will never buy another Toyota if i did have the money . Just because it’s an older car doesn’t mean they should not correct fault . I bought it off a non toyota garage but it is not there fault all the flooding !!!!!

Excellent customer service from the Preston Branch. Thank you Mark K. for the great service.
Do not use any Lister group toyota
I have had multiple issues with, in particular, the Bristol North branch. Beyond selling you the car they simply don't care. I hoped to get a resonable respond from management but they simply defended their policies. I contacted the main office as well and they don't care either as "they simply manufactor the cars". They have zero care about the dealers that sell their cars independently.
Awful company
Toyota vehicles are not Safe
Never buy a car from Toyota my car have a problem The Critical Issue: Toyota Acknowledged Recall (GGG95)
Crucially, during my correspondence regarding this mechanical failure, Toyota acknowledged that there is an active Recall Campaign (GGG95) for my specific vehicle model, relating to the EGR valve.
• Inconsistency in Stance: Toyota GB has repeatedly refused to investigate any potential link between this known EGR valve recall and the catastrophic mechanical failure, despite my belief that it is the most likely cause.
• Unacceptable Condition: I was told that the recall issue could not be dealt with until the engine was fixed, yet the engine was not fixed because the warranty claim was not accepted
Extremely disappointed
My car stayed over a week in Toyota Vertu Leicester for investigation and I’m still waiting for a written report. The problem was never solved by Toyota, and communication was poor throughout. Very bad management, and the mechanics seem to work with old knowledge and no updates for new models.
After all this time, Toyota couldn’t find the problem — but Halfords mechanics fixed it in just a few hours. Very disappointed and completely lost trust in Toyota service quality.
Toyota Colchester
In January I purchased a 3 year old corolla £19,000. Within days I noticed there were multiple body issues, dents, bad repairs. I went back to Toyota Colchester to point this out and minor dents were pulled out at their expense. I also mentioned that the bonnet was misaligned and was evident it had been partly sprayed, front passenger door glass badly scored, they wouldn't do anything for those issues. There was a split on the lower section of the front bumper which the salesman said didn't show in their photos, I wasn't shown those photos, the rear bumper had been botched with mismatched paint over the unrepaired damage. Eventually they agree d to repair the front split bumper, but the terrible bad repair to the front bumper was left, the front right of the bumper where it meets the wing is proud and out of alignment, I had to pay for the rear bumper damage. I have recently mentioned about the drivers door being out of alignment and was told I would be contacted, nothing happened, emails ignored. I have yet to go to Toyota GB, if they do nothing I will write to Japan and I will exercise my statutory rights here in the UK. All they seem concerned about is you leaving a 5 star review. I am now doubting as to whether they do what they're supposed to do when servicing my car.
Snows Toyota Bournemouth are the best....
I have just picked up my Toyota Hilux from Snows Toyota of Bournemouth after having the chassis replaced under the Toyota campaign.
All I can say is WOW, from start to finish Tom Vivian and his team made the whole process a pain free exercise, dealing with all the associated levels of work required to get the chassis replaced and organised a curtsy vehicle for the whole duration of the work, which was nearly 3 months.
Over the time it was away I was keep informed of progress at verious stages.
On picking up the truck it had been given the once over in the workshop to make sure everything was in order, after which is was given the best wash and polish inside and out it has had for many a year....it looked like new, also fitted a free tracker to help with the security, well chuffed with the attention to detail.
This is the standard all other garage's should work to.
Toyota as a company is renown for its market leading approach to build quality and manufacturing techniques.
Companies around the world use the "Toyota way" as their standard.
Thank you Tom Vivian and your team for a great experience with what could have been a struggle.
Keep up the great work.

Very professional support
Very professional support, amazing staff, especially many thanks Mr. James Grant!!! Always helpful, always understanding from Bracknell ‘s Toyota 🤗
I wont be going back to Toyota again
Pretty awful customer experience with new with Toyota bz4x that I leased in 2024.
I've had various problems with the vehicle since I picked it up, I raised the problems with the dealership several times and initially never had any response.
It was always 'we'll take the details and get back to you' but they never did. I then raised a complaint and my problems were eventually listened to. I took the time to document each one and provide photos and details of how the problems can be replicated.
After several trips to and from the dealership, software updates, also leaving the car with them for 2 weeks they were unable to solve the problems and for most of them, the response was 'that's just how it is'.
I then raised a complaint with Toyota UK and again provided details of the issues. I didn't hear anything for more than 2 months, when I called back I was told the complaint had been closed and there were no problems.
No communication from either the dealership or Toyota, no responses to any of the problems I raised.
The major problem is that the vehicle still intermittently charges on schedule and is a complete pain since I'm using it for business daily.
I've told them that I want to return the vehicle, but they've declined and said that there's nothing wrong with it, when I can clearly demonstrate all of the problems.
Amazing service from Toyota Jemca Sidcup
I went to Toyota Jemca Sidcup to have to MOT and servicing. Staff are very accomodating and efficient. They have a good waiting area that has full access to hot drinks and water. Toilet was also easy access and clean. I got the chance to be shown around to see cars and the whole experienced was amazing. Definitely I can recomment Toyota Jemca in Sidcup.
Financial Ombudsman
I have written a number of poor reviews for Toyota and their Dealership and I see so have many of you thankfully now the Financial Ombudsman is investigated my case which is now ongoing for 18 months. Toyota GB should be investigated by a professional body as they clearly do not care about their customers just take us all as idiots and take as much money as they can from our pockets! Please if you are thinking of dealing with Toyota look elsewhere or eventually you will end up being one of the 73% disgruntled and angry customers!
I telephoned toyota finance today…
I telephoned toyota finance today regarding something I didn't understand on my new car loan.
Customer Service was rude and abrupt clearly didn't want to help. I asked for the complaints procedure. I am shocked at reading the reviews on Trustpilot but I agree. I have experienced today what the other reviews are stating. I am more shocked at the fact Toyota have not come back to the people that have left negative reviews clearly Toyota is not bothered about the reviews.

Leasing with services included: two-month repair waiting time and poor response
I hired a Toyota C-HR under a leasing agreement with services included through Kinto UK. On 01/10, I tried to start my vehicle, but it was completely off. The keys don't (un)lock the car, the ignition doesn't run, and so on. The road assistance sent someone who charged it not once, but twice, and asked me to drop my vehicle immediately at the closest Toyota dealer, which I did that same evening. However, the local Toyota dealer didn't allow me to leave the car there. I returned home, and the vehicle was off again the morning of 02/10.
The nearest Toyota dealer informed that the earliest available time slot is on 24/11. Since my leasing agreement includes services, and this is the first time I've needed Toyota's assistance, this entire situation is unacceptable and deeply frustrating.
Kinto said repeatedly that they only manage the finance piece, and I need to discuss any service-related enquiries with Toyota itself. The most they can do, as they stated, is also to try to contact Toyota. Additionally, they noted that if I replace the battery at a non-Toyota repair centre, Toyota may refuse to address similar issues in the future. In other words, I'm stuck and paying for a vehicle I cannot use.
As an engineer, I chose a Toyota vehicle due to its reliability, and at the time, I believed it would offer seamless service. Additionally, the issue with the ignition battery can lead to other problems. Considering the time the vehicle will stay off waiting for a repair, even the main battery might fail, which is much more problematic to solve.
If you believe leasing a Toyota vehicle with services included will give you peace of mind, think again. The waiting time is ridiculous, and contacting them is also problematic. Not for nothing, the traditional vehicle manufacturers are being crushed by new makers.
major suspension issue just four months after purchase
Title: Very disappointed – major suspension issue just four months after purchase
I bought a Yaris 2019 from Group 1 Toyota (North Nottingham) in May 2025. After only four months of ownership, during a routine Toyota service, it was found that the front wishbone rear bushes are cracked and debonding.
Toyota provided a repair estimate of around £1,100, which is a significant cost. Based on general maintenance knowledge, suspension bushes normally last 5–8 years or around 60,000–100,000 miles, so this kind of damage appearing so soon is highly unusual and suggests the issue may have already existed when the car was sold.
I have contacted the dealer several times but have received no reply. Having such an expensive fault appear within four months and getting no after-sales support is very disappointing.
I hope this review helps other customers understand my experience and make more informed decisions.
Bought a Toyota Yaris cross from Hills…
Bought a Toyota Yaris cross from Hills of Woodford. Absolutely love the car and Mark Graham was so helpful and courteous. He certainly knows his stuff and took time to talk me through all the modern fittings that I have never used before. He is an asset to Toyota. Thank you so much again Mark.
AJ at Peterborough is always brilliant 👏
