I just noticed that of 18 May 2026, this TPG mob has double charged me by automatic debit for two phone accounts. This has happened with them previously. They are sneaky as you cannot contact them... See more

I switched to TPG because they were cheap. Big mistake. The service is cheap, nasty, and downright hostile.
Since joining, I’ve been bombarded with threatening messages claiming my phone can’t make emergency calls. This is simply false — my phone shows VoLTE, and I can call 000 without any issue. When I contacted TPG, I was told the alert “goes to everyone.” If that’s true, why hasn’t it stopped? Why am I still being harassed by their automated threats?
Trying to get help is even worse. Every call is a merry-go-round of being passed to yet another person who repeats the same script and offers zero solutions. No accountability. No clarity. No care.
TPG has been, hands down, the most frustrating telco I’ve ever dealt with. If you value your sanity, avoid them. Cheap price or not, no company should treat customers like this.
Absolute trash service, sit on hold for an hour only to be told by a customer service rep (Indian) to call the same number again because she apparently couldn’t connect to my account, only after me becoming angry and swearing a little bit did she manage to connect to my account and proceed to not actually fix anything!
I gave it 1 star simply because you cannot go negative stars. Beware of the cancellation policy, other companies would simply go "oh well, thank you for being with us, maybe we'll see you again", but TPG? NO! They will slam you with a $94.99 cancellation fee because you haven't told them you wanted to go 30 days in advance. Never, ever, again.
don't bother, time waster, completely useless customer service
Not bad but need improvements for the customer service.
Hi,
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received. We have many important things to manage, and your ongoing issues have created unnecessary delays and frustration. I am requesting that you refund the money paid, as we no longer wish to continue with TPG.
I have already found a more reliable internet provider, and I expect this matter to be resolved promptly.
Thank you.
Isaac Samuel
Scammers. Connection latency is terrible. Refused to cancel my service, took me multiple times calling and hours on the phone with overseas call center. Charged me $70 as cancellation for a service I didn't even use even though this is not specified anywhere when you purchase. Just avoid.
Having been with TPG for a collective 15 years, my husband and I were surprised when we called to ask for a better rate (after our monthly fee increased). Not only was the customer service representative hugely offended by our plans to move to a competitor, he lied to us. In his best condescending tone and argumentative approach, the rep told my husband we had to give 30 days notice and were making a mistake.
We gave our 30 days notice, only to find 2 days later that tpg had disconnected our services. Thankfully our new provider was able to expedite the connection however, tpg left us unable to work from home.
Happy to share our experience with family and friends who are now all moving away from tpg.
I gave this attrocious company a 1 star because there isn't the option to score a minus! We have had TPG mobiles for 5 months longer than we actually had to have them and the problem is still ongoing. We moved to a very remote Island 5 months ago and have been trying to cancel contract with them, it is a rolling contract that can be cancelled anytime. We initially set up a direct debit, which again apparently we could cancel anytime. We have not been able to get these 'scammers' to cancel our contract, explaining to them many many times, that we can not recieve verification the traditional way, as the telecoms on the island do not allow this. We asked for other ways to verify with them, after waiting months for a reply, they finally sent us a way to video verify our ID's. However, no surprise here, that doesn't work either and we have repeatedly emailed to say this isn't working, and you guessedit, nothing! So now we have paid 5 lots of $50 a month for two phones we haven't been able to, and haven't used, and yet they just keep taking money from our bank. What a rip off, this feels like day light robbery. Worst company I have ever used and will be taking legal advice. Never use TPG!!

Today (3 November, 2025) the internet has dropped out every few minutes. I am on TPG fibre to the basement. I have called TPG support (usual 20 minutes wait) but so far they have not been able to help. I have logged the dropouts (NetUptime Monitor) but cannot send the log to TPG. Not at all happy and looking to use another supplier.

I missed a few days as was busy enjoying my life, but up to review number 5 chasing the money owed to me after TPG FRAUDULENTLY took money from my account, despite then owing me money. TPG FRAUDULENTLY took money from my account after I cancelled. I called to get this refunded and waited an hour on hold. I spoke to a rep who advised she had created a case and the money would be refunded. After the call I realised I had a bank charge as TPG had taken the money from an account with no money in it. I called back to get this refunded, again waited an hour, and the representative advised that no action had been taken on the previous call and they had no record of the call. She also said she didn’t know a representative by the name I had been given and told me I should also have been given a case number. She apologised and promised both the money taken and the bank charge would be refunded. The following week the money taken was returned. I called again and again waited over an hour. This was over a week and a half ago and no money has been deposited in my account. I will not be contacting TPG again and wasting more of my time, instead I will be completing a daily online review until the money hits my account and I receive an apology from TPG for their fraudulent activity and incompetent customer service. AVOID TPG at all costs. Internet service is horrendous and their customer service is even worse.
While the actual connection is fine and tech support was helpful, customer service is shocking. Charged twice for initial set up, charged extra for NBN service when changed to 5G, charged cancellation fee on NBN even though TPG initiated transfer to 5G, sent two modems and despite 3 requests have been unable to provide label to return extra modem. Multiple phone calls and emails have not resolved situation. Very long hold times on phone.
Constantly drops off, I'm talking at least twice an hour and sometimes it's takes at least 10 minutes to get back online. Even though I paid for extra coverage for a house hold of 3-4, but I'm a house hold of 1, because they told me I would need it. You know, this is my third internet supplier for this area in 7 years. And I'm pretty sure it's simply a bad area. But what I can not stand, is each time I explain that, these companies say, don't worry we can supply you with internet no problems.
Stop lying to get customers, if you can't supply a certain area, JUST TELL PEOPLE THAT!!
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IT IS A SCAM!!!
Horrible service. My mobile data would not work after I paid $18.50 and then when I tried to get a refund they would not help at all. I called multiple times and they kept sending me the same link and they have restricted my mobile number.
I'm an authorised user on my mum's account and every time I call to fix something it's an uphill multi hour long battle to be allowed access only to be told that it won't happen again, then I get to actually address the initial reason for calling
Poor value plans, speed capped to be lower than other carriers in most cases. Data punctually cuts out at the monthly allowance punctually but information regarding data usage are hours out of date. Switched today and breathed a sigh of relief.
Worst company,
Won't let me pay my bill but suspend my phone for a week, absolutely disgusting
This company is the biggest scam, not recommended at all, horrible customer service, terrible communication, the worst internet
Do not use TPG, horrible customer service and also a system that won’t work. Don’t use them guys.
Horrible experience with TPG. Had so many problems I cancelled my plan even though I was still not paying (due to promo to have free 6 months). Really poor speed performance and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do NOT sign up.
