Contacting Florida Attorney General

Went to add minutes today to my phone that I have had with Tracfone for years. My number was somehow gone and no way to add minutes ? Zero help from online or calling their customer service telephone number. Making complaint to Florida Attorney General today.

Unreliable signal

Unreliable signal. Customer service accents so strong, you can't understand them. On the t Mobile network, so take messages from blocked calls, but won't tell you that you have messages. I'm buying a new phone today and looking for a carrier that actually meets my needs.

Tracfone customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

I have had a Tracfone for more than 15 years. Everything has been fine until I recently purchased a new phone that was defective. I was having various problems with my 'Moto G 128 2025' so I contacted Tracfone. Tracfone verified that my phone was defective and sent me, via email, a return shipping label on 1/28/26. I shipped the phone with UPS on 1/28/26. I was told that as soon as Tracfone received my phone they would ship a new phone of the same model or equivalent. Tracfone received my phone on 2/2/26. By 2/9/26 I had heard nothing. I contacted Tracfone to check the status via chat because it is nearly impossible to contact Tracfone thru their phone system, nothing in their automated system covers a defective phone return. Tracfone acknowledged that they had received my phone. I was told it was going to be shipped and to wait 3-5 more days. I heard nothing after 5 days I contacted Tracfone again via chat. Again I was told to wait 3-5 days, the phone was coming. Again nothing. I again contacted Tracfone by phone. Again they said 3-5 days. It was obvious that 3-5 days is the standard response in order to stall. Now it has been 26 days with no phone and no idea when it will be replaced. Tracfone's automated phone system is infuriating. The techs don't know anything and don't seem to have a way to trace problems. They acknowledge my open service ticket but cannot seem to be able to find who is supposed to send my phone to me. All you can say about Tracfone's customer service is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! I will call again today or tomorrow (5 days) but it appears I need to buy a new phone. Stay away from this company!!!!

Transferred 15 times plus

My phone was deactivated because of supposed spamming, which was really just my son's school assignment group chat. I have been transferred over 15 times, and on the phone for 3 hours. It's time to change providers.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I think it's funny that the first thing they say on this review field is "What went wrong this time". I have been a customer for more than 7 years and they say all unused minutes, I don't text or use data. I use it for a phone when I am away from my landline. The last time I checked in October I had over 17,000 rollover minutes. I broke my screen on my old phone in November 2025 and bought a new one that came with 1500 minutes with purchase. They shut off my phone in late December and it took me almost 2 hours with their so-called customer service and they finally admitted they had no reason to cut it off. Next, on 2/16/2026 they shut it off again. I spent another almost 2 hours with so-called customer service and they told me I had no minutes left and my new purchase in November is good until November 2026. They finally turned it back on and put the 1500 minutes I had with my purchase back on my account. They told me someone in management would call me in 24-48 hours. Still waiting. Worst company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY, BUYER BE WARE.

Their should be a spot for 0 stars , I purchased a tracfone from Walmart , after 5 months it quit working , I called tracfone and was told to send my phone to Tenn, I never recieved my phone back , They target the elderly, but elderly dies not need tracfone headache, Any service is better than tracfone. Buy another phone and service with anyone but tracfone , Years ago they had a good name , Not anymore

Next date to add card 2038???

Added a card to my mom's tracfone. She is an older lady and I have always paid for the service. I add cards on when I have extra money to get "ahead." The service is showing 2038 next due. I know that's not possible. The rep - Elaine Jane - tried to explain a complicated program to me but I didn't understand. I thought I had a couple of cards paid ahead. She told me every time I added a card all the past "available time" dropped off. Guess I better not keep adding cards in advance. I asked how that worked if you were on vacation and she told me to stop and get on the website and add a card. I know in the past I used to add cards ahead and have them automatically added. Have they changed the procedure?

I went on the tracfone website to refill my plan and it is either not working or just won’t let you do it that way any longer. I have been refilling my plan like that for years. How is one supposed to refill your plan if you can’t do it through their website.

Wish I could give them zero stars. The activation process was a nightmare and attempts to assist by "Sherry" their robot made it wors e. Sorry I ever bought their crappy phone thinking I could save money. You aren't saving money if the service isn't working for you.

Complain with service for 16 bucks! We'll see!

Why should I complain. I do not own their stock and I don't work for TracFone Wireless. They piggyback on Verizon wireless where I live. I was with AT&T since it's conception, before Cingular back to the baby bells AKA BellSouth. I paid a few thousand for a DynaTAC back in '84. I just got sick and tired of paying over $200 for 2 lines. Now I pay $11 with discount with autopay monthly billing. I gave them 4 stars, because AT&T is the gold standard with signal strength where I live. I've used TracFone for about 2 years. The worst I tried was Mint. We actually parked 50' from a tower and couldn't make a call. Obviously, I had 5 bars with my TracFone. I bought the Samsung NIB off eBay for under $50. I sold my Apple for $600 on eBay. I don't use my cell for anything besides calls and texts. I have no desire to stare at a 6.8" screen for internet use. No WiFi, no laptop or desktop. Everywhere I go I see everyone staring at their smartphone or talking through their Bluetooth earpiece. Since I've had a cell for over 40 years, it's novelty has worn off. I had a trunked phone 10 years before '84. You got it, I'm old! Thanks TracFone Wireless for great service for 11 bucks!

'Addendum: My service went up $6.00 for no reason. So, I'll just give them 3 stars. Maybe less if their signal doesn't reach 2 bars soon. I had 3+ bars with AT&T and it's obviously the Gold Standard where I live. TracFone uses Verizon not AT&T and I might change if calls are dropped. Sometime I have to reboot the smartphone because Texts don't go through. Will update if needed!

I had to use the chat to sign up the…

I had to use the chat to sign up the first time which was successful but when I tried to renew the service 30 days later I couldn't sign in and they said I had the wrong passcode so I attempted to change it I had to enter my phone number then I had to click on many pictures of an object but after numerous pictures I had to click on after 5 minutes I gave up. Now I will have to go back to AT&T where I have to pay $35 instead of $15 for 30 days of service

never again

First they screwed up the transfer from my old phone to my new one. Then they screwed up the transfer back to my old one so I might be able to keep my current number. Now after 10 people that i have talked to, which they all don't have a clue as to what they are doing. Phone is still not fixed. Their customer service and tech service sucks. This company is no good. Will never use them again. Other reviews show how bad they truly are.

I was supposed to be taking part in a conference call with my family and our attorney. Out of 5 attempts, only once could the lawyer reach me. This happens quite often! When I replace this blasted phone, it will be with an unlocked phone. TracFone is, by far, the absolute worst prepaid phone service, and I've used most of them. Their customer service is in the toilet. The absolute worst!

I had ordered a phone from tracfone on December 31.2025 everyone says I got it but I didn’t this is my last resort because I can’t afford another phone and card my order number 2110-R3703S0CSC They said I got it back but I never did that’s why it’s not been activated now I have no way of communicating with the outside world I’m on a friends device now that’s just doing someone dirty

Try to add minutes, 2 hours later. All AI generated

Try to add minutes On-Line with a prepaid card. Logged in added minutes & system said they couldn't add the minutes at this time & call their number. The number was an AI generated bunch of useless crap and trash. 2 hours later I had to use a chat with "Felix" who was probably a BOT. Good part that after the days expire I am done with these idiots. They lost a long time customer and they are too stupid to know it. Stay away from this company.

Tracfone shady and corrupt

I went to their chat to get information on purchasing additional time and minutes for my phone. The first representative acted like they were going to help me, but when I brought up a discrepancy about what they were going to charge me and the what the rates should be he said "Wait while I look into this". I was cut off from that rep. and transferred to another. Same situation there. This went on for over 4 hours, being transferred from one rep. to the other (4 different reps.) hoping I would give in or go away. I didn't. Thus these reviews. Very very shady and corrupt.

This company is the absolute worst

This company is the absolute worst. Had a connectivity issue at the beginning of the year as I was staying in a different location. I spent hours and hours using their chatbot (useless) and trying however I could to finally speak to actual humans. They took so much time which was appreciated but they were reading scripts and basically had no answers on why I couldn't get the phone to work. They would have me do a factory reset, then send me away with 'check it again in a day or 2'. Needing the phone for work, trying to resolve this issue chewed up an incredible amount of time and never solved the problem.

A few months ago, I ordered a newer phone hoping I'd have more capabilities.

Today I was just notified by a friend that my vm was full. I have no idea how to access it. When a message comes through I click on the icon that shows there's a message and then listen to it. No idea how to access vm or how to delete messages. I have tried six ways to Sunday to reach a person at Tracfone to simply walk me through how to access my vm or help me change my password. I've tried all options. There is no way to speak to a person. I get bots and texts that instruct me to change my password along with messages that state that this by changing the password, it will delete all my voice mails as well as my outgoing message (???). Why do I not have the ability to curate my messages if I want to change my password?? I don't get it. This company SUCKS. I would feel better if there was SOME accountability, and I could actually speak to a human, but there is zero support.

UPDATE: I decided to suck it up and lose all my vm's in order to reset my password. They did not delete. I have no idea why the texts I receive would tell me I'd lose all my voicemails....phew. What a stressor. Glad I still have them. Will keep TracFone for now. If I have continued trouble, I will switch providers.

Track phone is horrible

Track phone is horrible. I can’t get internet. I can’t text 611611 to get balance. Customer service rep tried 2 hours on phone to get internet on my phone. She wasn’t able to get. The only reason why I use this phone is that I only use for emergencies ( if I can get a signal) and texting. I can’t make phone calls at home even though it has on map within area.
