The website is vague in several areas, which makes it confusing. If you need to ask questions, the Dedicated account manager, "Lori," was not available by phone, even though it shows a phone # under her contact (until the end when the whole thing went sour.) She and other support agents were rude and condescending in the chats and emails. They made assumptions about my order without asking me, which led to further confusion ( over 20 emails). The only thing right was that they gave me a full refund. STAY AWAY!

Absolutely a scam. They advertise the service as $99. at checkout, but then later send an email stating you’ll be charged an additional $450 “class filing fee,” which they claim is mandatory. This fee is not disclosed during the checkout process — only buried in the fine print of their terms. It’s a deceptive business practice, and they should be held accountable.
In my case, I reached out to cancel immediately after receiving the email, and they refused. I ended up filing a dispute with my bank for the $99.
My dad also used the service and had no idea about the $450 charge either. He was automatically enrolled in a trademark monitoring service for $149 that he didn’t consent to. I noticed they tried to do the same to me, but I caught it and canceled it before it went through.
I’ve worked in e-commerce and used to manage disputes and chargebacks, so I know this process well. My best advice: file a dispute with your bank and request a stop payment. Don’t waste time going back and forth with their customer service.
You can also file a complaint with your state’s Attorney General — which I plan to do. Enough complaints through the AG’s office can trigger an investigation into a company’s practices.

Don't file a trademark application with this company.
Pick a legit company like LegalZoom with reputable US Attorneys - or if it's a simple trademark - file it yourself direct with USPTO.
Trademark Genius likely doesn't have reputable - or any - attorneys that are legally able to file on your behalf. Ask them for their attorney's full name and licensing credentials for you to research on your own.
Also, their registration form doesn't even contain all of the fields that are on the USPTOs website for registering a trademark.
Also there's no such thing as getting a trademark in 14 (or less days). It takes a minimum of 4 months per PTO website.

Beware of this company. They lure you in with what looks like a fair price, only to tack on ridiculous, made-up fees once you're already locked in. Every step of the process seemed designed to squeeze more money out of me with charges that were never mentioned upfront. When I asked for clarification, I got vague answers and excuses. It feels like a complete scam. I ended up paying way more than expected and got mediocre service in return. Don’t fall for it — save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I registered for a trademark application online, paid the $199 for extended services. I called the next day to ask questions and their customer service line doesn’t work. I was appointed a representative named Monica, who was very uptight, spoke too fast, had a bad attitude not once but twice when I had questions and dismissed my questions and concerns with a recommendation to get a refund. I am attempting to protect my business with a trademark trusting their services and was hung up on, as I asked to talk to a manager since she couldn’t treat me like an uneducated client who is seeking an understanding in this area of business and hoping they treat my company as a new prospect to continue to work with throughout the entire process. I was pushed out the door and treated as if they had too many customers to deal with me and my concerns. I was also barely given 20 minutes of their time. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Just want others to know this isn’t the place to be a beginner in the trademark world, as this represented a very poor communication system and a sad customer service experience from start to finish. I will now pay $99 for a refund and was willing to pay $649 for their services start to finish and possible recurring services to become a future forever client. This isn’t how people should be treated. Lori also handled the remaining refund process in an email and neither agents handled me as a new customer professionally in my opinion. I thought I was paying for their guaranteed services and I got handled as a lost letter in the mail. Like oh well, who cares about her money. No stars.

I went on their site and started to process.
It’s was supposed to be $99 then as I went step by step the kept adding to the base plan $50 here $75 there. I got completely turned off an cancelled out of the site. Then I get my credit card bill. There is a $99 charge and a second charge for $450
Now I have to fight and dispute these charges which by the way I didn’t authorize and I didn’t get anything in return for the money they charged me. This is a total scam they need to be shut down

Horrible company that pulled a bait and switch scam on me. I would not trust them ever.

I paid Trademark Genius a flat fee to file a trademark, expecting a straightforward process. Instead, they came back demanding an additional $450 per category—something that was never disclosed upfront. They do little to nothing for you, and their business model feels intentionally misleading.
To make matters worse, they falsely advertise a 5-star Trustpilot rating based on 149 reviews on their website. In reality, their actual Trustpilot rating is just 2.2 stars, which speaks volumes about their credibility. I’m shocked they are still operating. This kind of practice should not be legal. Stay far away!

Do not use TRADEMARK GENIUS. They are a complete scam. They use other names because they scam people and have to constantly use different names.

If I could give this company no stars it would be just that. They are not clear with the charges, and then tell you after you submit an application that they will charge you $350 per class ( thousands ) on the card you used to pay them the fees. How can they be sure someone has that kind of money on their card. Then when a request to cancel the order was sent and request to void the application within the 24 hours, someone from their care team reached out trying to convince me not to cancel. After asking 3 times they continue to tell you why you shouldn’t cancel sending multiple emails with reasons why I shouldn’t cancel but even mentioned there is a $50 cancellation fee and would rather put the order on hold. No!!!!! once the customer has said to cancel after the first or even the second time please it is a must to respect the customer’s wishes —not tell them you will put the order on hold to do them a favor in the future! It’s not the law you have to get anything trademarked it is a business owners choice to give them more security of their logos. Please do not give this company two thoughts. Go on.

Unexpected fees and poor communication into the guidance of the filing. I strongly recommend any future customers to look else where for a third party into trademarking your brand.

Simply put, do not use this company unless you read the fine print under the fine print. My guess is they make their money by only returning a portion of your paid fee, knowing most people will cancel once they realize the tactics of this business.

I used an attorney to complete my last trademark.... I could do my own trademark, but at the time I was busy and I used them, I know how these companies work they will try to upsell you... No I only want the $99 Package..... At the time I used my credit card because I felt a little effy about using an online company they messaged me told me my card was declined... At the time I didn't think nothing of it.... A few months later I was like oh yeah I need to pay to the $350 fee for filing( GAVE THEM MY DEBIT CARD)... They charged my card $700 a week later $149... This is all on my debit card... Yeah because I forgot to give them a credit card and it's tough trying to dispute a debit card ... They claim it's a monthly monitoring fee... I didn't sign up for that I know exactly what I signed up for .. they will hit you up with these unauthorized charges with zero notification.... REFUND MY MONEY BACK NOW!!!

I ordered their service with rush. Paid $148 for the service + rush, and another $99 for another upsell they had for a total of $247.
I spoke with a representative after ordering where I learned the service would not really be within 24 hours as was promised, rather when they would get to it when they were able to get to it as they have a queue of other custom orders.
At that time, I realized it is a complete false misrepresentation of the service from what I ordered on their site and decided to immediately cancel.
I cancelled approximately 23 minutes.
They refunded only $199, withholding the other $48, claiming this part of the cost was for rush service they rendered, which nothing had been done at all and in fact was the reason I cancelled.
How can a rush service be rendered when nothing was done? This company is a total scam as can be seen when you do a review search on them and come to BBB where they get an F grade.
