Just wrapped up Trailmates hiking tour of the Julian Alps in Slovenia. This trip was very well organized and planned out perfectly. Our local guide Matevz was calm, confident and incredibly well prepared. His native knowledge of the mountains and Slovenia complimented the scenery and enhanced the whole experience. Garry’s coordination and logistics skills are unmatched, making the whole trip run smoothly and efficiently. I will certainly book again!

It was a wonderful trip. I loved the organization. I was met at the airport and taken safely and on time. The apartment was close to the city center, which is a plus if you want to go for an evening stroll. The group was also excellent, from different countries, and it was interesting to talk. Our guide, Suzel, deserves special thanks. It's great to have a local guide; they always know more and better about the local culture,less tourists paths,
services, shops, and nature. She told us a lot of interesting and informative things.Overall, to sum it up, I'm very glad I used your services. And yes, I'll definitely travel with you again. Thanks 🙏

I recently got back from Madiera and WOW what a trip! I travelled solo and the communication throughout was so good, it completly put my mind at ease! Suzel was the guide for the week , she was top notch! Plenty of information on plants, mountains and local history and she checked in regularly to make sure the pace was ok for everyone.
It also gave us all tine to take in the beautiful scenary and get plenty of pictures 💕

Just returned from 8 days in Madeira and I have only positive feedback of the trip and of Trailmates. Excellent communication and organisation throughout, from being picked up at the airport to daily messages on what to expect on the next hike. Each walk showed us a different aspect of the island and there were shorter alternatives most days if you didn't want to walk the whole way. Our guide, Suzel, was amazing- super knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about Madeira and also about making sure we were all ok. Plenty of time in the evenings to appreciate Funchal either as part of the group or alone. Am already looking to book my next trip.

I can’t recommend this company enough. It was one of my favorite trips. I Went to the Albanian Alps and everything went so incredibly well. The mountains were beautiful but the group was even better! Such nice and lovely people!
Will definitely be traveling with Trailmates adventures in future!

Amazing guides, beautiful locations, well organised and great accommodation

Trailmates organised a hiking holiday for 17 members of our walking club to Slovenia last week. From our initial contact with Gary in Trailmates he has been very helpful at all times. We were based in Kransjka Gora, a village surrounded by the very scenic mountains of the Julian Alps. The guiding company led by Anita and Grega with guides Luka, Marco and Tim left no stone unturned to facilitate us, ensuring our safety and enjoyment of completing 5 hikes to an elevation exceeding 2000metres. The scenery was exceptional with a new vista around every corner. The Alpina hotel in Kransjka Gora was a great centre close to great restaurants, sports shops and supermarkets. I give full marks to Trailmates and Anita's company for making the weeks hiking very enjoyable and successful for all our members

I recently completed the Montenegro hiking trip with Trailmates. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The trip was well-paced and well-organised with varied hikes across the week.

An unseasonable amount of snow in Durmitor meant some of the hikes differed to what was originally planned, but that was not an issue. Our guide, Vera, clearly was very knowledgeable and experienced and made sure we still hiked to impressive view points.

The accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Part of what appealed to me about Trailmates was having one base for the whole week and doing hikes from there and the apartments in Zabljak were a great place to unwind after a day of hiking.

We were a group of nine and it was a diverse and friendly bunch. I travelled with my partner, there were two pairs of female friends, and then two solo females and one solo male.

We all appreciated Vera's recommendation for a rafting company and had a great time with Lujbo on the Tara River on our free day.

All in all, an excellent trip, and excellent concept and we're already booked on our second Trailmates adventure to Albania later in the year!

A fantastic trekking experience in Montenegro. Our local guide Vera really made the trip, the team organised some great alternative treks for the group when we couldnt do the scheduled ones due to the snow and the rafting on our free day was lots of fun too. The apartments we stayed in were spacious and comfortable with an amazing buffet breakfast. Will definitely be doing another trip with Trailmates soon.

Had a great time with Trailmates in Montenegro, truly a beautiful country. The trip was well organized, the hotel was really good, and the hikes were amazing. Looking forward to the next trip!

Amazing Albania Adventure
5 star experience with Trailmates and Garry for their debut trip in The Albanian Alps. I had a fantastic time on this late May 2026 outing…everything from the accommodation, to the location and, all importantly, the hikes themselves were excellent. Theth and its surroundings are stunning and the week’s itinerary provided a good mix of challenging and moderate hikes, as well as downtime. The delightful international group made for great company on the trail as well as at the evening dinners at a nice mix of local restaurants. Looking forward to making another booking.

This was a really fantastic trip, the hiking was varied and challenging but doable and Svaneti is such a beautiful place, it was amazing seeing the villages and incredible scenery. Giorgi our guide was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have been better, he went above and beyond to make sure we all had a good time. The time we spent cooking and eating with the local family on the last day was really special and not something I’ve done with any group before. The hotel was nice and well located with lovely breakfasts. Also a shout out to the team at Trailmates who were helpful, friendly and professional, it really felt like they wanted us to have a good time. I would happily go with Trailmates again and highly recommend them.

I really enjoyed my trip to Montenegro with Trailmates Adventures!
I think it was well organized, all the pick-ups were on time, the roures were varied and Vera was an amazing guide. She was always encouraging whilst considering everyone's abilities. It was also good to have the freedom to decide what we wanted to do or where we wanted to eat in the evenings as opposed to a full schedule together for the week.
The group was good.
The only minor thing that was strange at the hotel was the kitchen which had a hob, sink and plenty of cupboards but zero pots.
I would highly recommend.

I booked the Asturias trip and it was wonderful, with the Ruta Del Cares was my personal highlight. It's very likely that I will book another trip. I really liked the hotel and the hikes were very good. It was well organised and the communication was good, Garry is easily available via WhatsApp. Sergio, our guide was very personable and knowledgable. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Trailmates Adventures to friends.

I had an amazing time on the Trailmates trip to Madeira! The trip was incredibly well organised, with all info being communicated ahead of time via email and a Whatsapp for the group, and info on each hike shared throughout the trip. The weather wasn't the best when we were there but the Trailmates team adjusted the itinerary throughout the week to ensure we still got a range of hikes and the best of the weather. It was also nice staying in a set location for the week and getting to know the local area, and try and test lots of local bars and restaurants.

One of the biggest highlights for me was the group. It was so great being able to meet so many outgoing people who love hiking and share the experience with them, and I think Trailmates definitely brings likeminded people together in that sense. I can't wait to book my next trip!

I travelled in Oman in January 2026 and had an amazing experience from start to finish. It was my first hiking holiday, and I would definitely do it again. Garry was an excellent organiser: always attentive to feedback, highly organised, and flexible whenever possible.

The hikes were beautiful and offered incredible landscapes every day, while the local guides made us always feel safe and well supported. The accommodation was very comfortable, with friendly staff and great locations.

What made the trip even more special was the group atmosphere — we bonded so well that we spent even more time together beyond the planned activities. The programme was very thoughtfully designed, with a good balance between challenge, rest, safety, and inclusiveness. Communication, transfers, and logistics were all seamless.

I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable hiking adventure in Oman.

I joined a hiking trip with Trailmates Adventures for Sardinia trip and had a great experience. Our trip to Madeira was amazing. Trailmates Group organized a wonderful hike. This was our first group tour and our first hike ever, and now we'll definitely be going on more with this company. Firstly, the price was reasonable and the quality matched our expectations. Secondly, the tour was the perfect difficulty level and suitable for travelers of all fitness levels. The idea of ​​traveling just for the hike was the most important thing for us, as we wanted to fully enjoy the hiking and nature. I'd also like to point out that Harry was always available, which gave us a sense of security. A huge thank you to our guide, Paolo – he's very friendly, has a clear itinerary, and does his job 100%. The other members of our group are wonderful, engaging people. We're so glad we met them, and they'll remain etched in our memories. Thank you, Trailmates, for Madeira, and we'll see you soon!
