Cold and superior attitude

We went to the shop yesterday to know more about the wedding ring, but the staff acted very cold and distant and superior. The appointment was supposed to be around 1 hour, but then we left after 10 minutes. After telling him that we do not live in Dusseldorf and would like to know the ring size and then book online, we were refused subtly "You can always drop by to measure the ring size". We had a very high expectation of the shop and it was actually the second time we came to the shop, but not sure why we were treated like this.
