I Highly recommend Travel-Lingual! Great way to learn new language as it’s 1 on 1 tutorial so it allows to achieve individual needs. Most of the tutors are native speaker so that’s a plus 👍

Travel-lingual is just what I've been looking for. All of the tutors are either native speakers or postgraduate level students. My tutor was friendly, flexible, extremely knowledgeable and very affordable! After only a few months of tutoring, I am feeling much more confident and relaxed speaking French. I highly recommend this service to anyone wishing to improve their language skills.

Having not spoken French since leaving school 10 years ago, I was eager to book tuition to recover and advance my spoken French. I was recommended Travel-Lingual by a friend so I booked 5 sessions with a tutor and was able to have my first lesson the same day. I have now nearly finished my 5 sessions and I am amazed at how much I have recovered and learnt. Travel- Lingual has helped me so much with my confidence and I will certainly be booking more sessions to improve my fluency.

This service has helped me massively especially the YouTube videos. I have loved how easy they are to follow and help make complicated grammar points easy to understand. As a secondary school teacher myself my students have benefited from the videos and have really enjoyed them.

I have lived in Paris for 5 years now, and while I’ve become familiar with the more common day-to-day phrases I never felt confident with my grammar or formal French skills.

I decided to take lessons to polish my French when I started my most recent job in marketing. With so many emails and presentations in French, I felt super self conscious about making errors!! TL;DR - if you're looking to learn a language James at travel-lingual.com is the only person I would recommend!

I had originally started learning Spanish using Duolingo, but there is only so much you can learn from their exercises. I was still nervous speaking Spanish and couldn't hold a normal conversation with a native Spanish speaker. James took the time to understand my goals and created a learning plan that matched those exactly.

The lessons are flexible, some are structured, learning the core aspects of the language (conjugations etc.), with others focusing on 'live' examples. I really enjoyed the theory and then in practice way our lessons were structured.

As I am interested in business and sport, James took this onboard and was mindful when we worked through real-world examples. So I was engaged and interested in the content.

James always took the time to make sure I fully understood what I was learning and not letting me getting away with just saying, "yes", holding me accountable and only improving my knowledge retention and confidence.

Whether you're brand new to a language or have experience, James can tailor the sessions to ensure you enjoy and learn.

After plodding away with the various language learning apps on the market, I felt pretty well-equipped to read a menu in a French restaurant - but not a whole lot else. The bit of my brain responsible for churning out all the vocal and grammar rules I thought I’d learnt would apparently take itself on its own, private holiday whenever I went abroad, and I’d be left with terrific stage-fright and a handful of monosyllabic conversation fillers. (Somewhere along the line I did pick up the ability to eloquently threaten bodily harm unto my conversation partner, which hasn’t proven an obvious route into making firm friends.)

Despairing at my apparent inability to learn French, I decided to try something else. It was ‘real world’ language use that I struggled with - I couldn’t have a conversation to save my life - and so that was what I sought out. Travel Lingual and its enviable array of charming and chatty tutors seemed like exactly what I needed.

Incredibly, this approach has worked a treat - the method of teaching has constantly pushed my comfort zone outward without me even realizing it. It’s not rote repetition; instead, I’ve been able to learn by conversing, which has made it so much more natural for my errant brain to adapt to turning its cogs with a little extra ‘je ne sais quois’. Of course, now we’re stuck in the depths of a global pandemic and so a truly smug holiday in France will have to wait, but that’s fine - for once, I don’t feel like my grasp of the language is steadily dribbling out of my ears with every minute I don’t use it, and I’ve been enjoying checking back in for further learning whilst stuck at home.

TL;DR? If you’re tired of ‘traditional’ language learning methods that only teach you how to read the basics, Travel Lingual’s courses will turn your preconceptions of your own ability on their head. Before long you, like me, will be considerably closer to your end goal of running away with Gaspard Ulliel. (Other French actors are available; this one’s mine. Find your own.)
