If it seems to good to be true...it probably is! What a SCAM!
I sat through this complete waste of my time meeting for an hour and 20 minutes. I started to think it was interesting that my questions and comments were not being replied to. Like, can I pay with PayPal? I started to get my card out, and noticed that Jacob seemed to look a little nervous towards the end of the meeting, while he was waiting for his "bot people" to enter there verification numbers. After the fact, I thought I should have entered a fake # just to see if he would respond to me. After reading other reviews, I totally agree that this was a pre-recorded "interview" Thankfully, I put my card back in my wallet and did not fall for this complete SCAM!
SCAM ALERT🤦♀️
Sat through an hour presentation that after reading all the other reviews, is obvious that it was pre-recorded, so if it sounds too good to be true, it is! $97 for the Travel Agent Institute and a promise of a position as a travel agent at a very successful travel agency making 170k the first year! All bait, I can’t believe I feel for it!!!
This is a scam
It seems prerecorded, the "founder" Jacob and the "hiring manager" Emily never address any of your questions or concerns directly. The chat seems to have a lot of bot activity. The meeting only acknowledges certain people in the chat. No company name is ever given. It sounded too good to be true and in a time of need it seems like a miracle and it is not...i did not pay the $97. Please dont. i wish i would have looked at reviews before hand because it was an utter waist of my time.
1000% scam
1000% scam. Not even the best way to lose money very inefficient 4/10.
Unanswered Question
When going through the process he kept calling the same names. When I asked a question he never acknowledged my presence. He started acting nervous and it led me to believe it was a scam. I finally got the name and found out that it was a scam! You almost had me! Anything to good to be true is just that to good to be true!!!
SCAM ALERT* SCAM ALERT* TRAVEL AGENT INSITUTE don't FALL FOR IT
WARNING - TRAVEL AGENT INSTITUTE is a sleek, savvy SCAM. Jacob is well spoken, he knows all the "catch phrases" in modern corporate America. He's attractive and has charisma. BUT this is 100% a fraud on every level. After about 40 minutes they take you to a screen where you are to sign up for a $97 fee for the supposed training. During this, another participant said "Can I see the Terms & Conditions"? At that moment, Jacob held up a tiny piece of paper with font size 4 (super small) to his camera to show us the T & C's. This is ILLEGAL. As in AGAINST THE LAW. Please don't be scammed. They prey upon people that are looking for employment. So disgusting.
ITS FRAUD!
Please listen to what everyone is saying, its all BS. I sat through the whole "interview" and was even going to pay, luckily for me the bank blocked it and when I called and asked why they say because it popped up as fraud. After that I researched and started seeing all the bad reviews. I'm glad the bank had more sense than I did because these scammers are seeking out those who need a job like myself. Dont be fooled like I almost was.
Reviews here are true
Reviews here are true, dont fall for it. Its looks very realistic, but THERE IS NO JOB! At the end they make it seem you have to buy their insurance/certificate in order to continue! DONT FALL for it. Your money will be gone and you will not be able to get hold of them. Dont know why they are not being investigated, for running such a scam by targeting desperate individuals who are looking for work. Dont fall for it, report where needs to be reported
Listen to the presentation
I listened to the presentation. What caught my attention was the beach background behind Jacob. It was a picture. The waves never moved. I mean, who pretends to sit in a beachfront home? Then, of course, the $97 payment was the catch at the end. Instead of filling out the certificate, I looked up reviews on TrustPilot, and they are all 1-star.
It's a total scam.
It's a total scam.. he offered me this job that was a dream come true. I knew then something was wrong.. told me everyone was hired without checking our resumes or anything.. all we had to do is Pay $97 for error insurance and provide our credit card information.. yeah right dude.. I opened up another window immediately and I searched Google and Reddit.. tons of reviews about him scamming them for their money. One thing I've learned in life if it's too good to be true it usually is.. I might have believed anymore if you didn't offer so much money. I know damn well I'm not going to walk into a remote job making 170k a year on my first year.. you would have to be some kind of software developer with many years of experience for any kind of money like that. Or if it was a sales job you would have to be the best salesman they've ever met. And they would definitely check your references as I checked theirs.. they never even mentioned the name of their company during the entire hour and 15 minute long waste of my time. I hope somebody shuts this down.. come on hackers hack away
TOTAL SCAM!!!
I sat through the entire process and during the "interview" I asked repeatedly what the name of the company was, and I never received a response...
Therefore, I did not spend $97.00 for the E&O insurance, and I plan to report them to the authorities.
Yesterday I went through the whole…
Yesterday I went through the whole entire interview, and as I mentioned to Jacob my confirmation number. He completely ignored me, but make no mistake I will get my 97 dollars back. Total rip off artist. There is no such thing as paying to get in a job.
Jacob is a total scammer with Travel…
Jacob is a total scammer with Travel Agent Institute and BWJ Travel. He stole 97.00 from me and it is a monthly charge as I see listed! I had to close down my debit card today so he can't use it anymore. He can't be trusted; he is a foreigner. Says it's out of California but I found out he is in Canada maybe. Neither place will take responsibility or accountability for stealing that money stating they would use it in case we made an error and that money goes towards insurance to cover our mistakes. Do NOT pay this guy a red cent! It's a total scam.
SCAM
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!
Jacob is scamming people by setting you up with a "live interview" but it is actually pre-recorded with fake Hiring Manager (Emily) and fake chat responses. He will never say your name or acknowledge your responses in the chat group.
So I booked an interview with travel…
So I booked an interview with travel agent Institute and Jacob was the presenter. That was at 4 PM on the 16th. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw an ad for a completely different position regarding virtual personal assistant. I saw that the same exact person, Jacob, was the presenter for that as well! Same people popped up in the same interview with the same names! This is nothing but a scam.!!!!
This company is a scam
This company is a scam! It has asked for E&O insurance payments for $97 but it’s a scam. I tried emailing, calling & chat. No one responded!!!!

Jacobs travel agent scam

Scam
Scam. Don’t fall for it like I did.
I sat in on a webinar with some guy named “Jacob” and a hiring manager named “Emily” which turns out to be pre-recorded with a fake chat.
I decided to stick around for the next block of time… guess what? Same people in the chat.
Don’t fall for it. It’s fake as hell.
Where they get you:
They claim you need insurance to operate as a travel concierge, which okay, maybe you do, but they claim that you need to pay $97 a month for this service.
I fell for it and gave them my $97.
Don’t do it. Don’t fall for it.
It is a scam
It is a scam. They work with a company that goes by BWJ. You get sent a link from a fake interview about being a consultant for a travel agency.
