These crooked people tried to take…

These crooked people tried to take money from my bank luckily i was alerted and put a stop to it which my bank are now investigating, i signed up with booking .com with the option to pay at the property and these crooks tried to take money all because i trust3d booking. Com with my card details to reserve a property !

Do not trust them!

FURTHER TO YOUR (BELOW) REPLY, LET ME BE TRANSPARENT, NO YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND MY FRUSTRATION AND UPSET BECAUSE IF YOU GENUINELY DID THEN YOUR WOULD NOT BE ALLOWING YOUR WEBSITE TO BE USED FOR PROFITEERING BY LIARS, CROOKS AND THIEVES WHICH YOU ARE! THAT MAKES YOU ONE AND THE SAME AS THEM YOU SHAMELESS EXCUSES FOR WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE!
Keep well away from this disgusting company.
They are shamelessly allowing their website to be used as a platform for criminal activity.
I stayed in a hellhole (a flat that was situated below another one in the building that houses a mentally unstable man who should be sectioned and in a psychiatric hospital) owned by a host by the name of Papa Poku who is now withholding money that he owes me and finding any excuse to hold on to it and all in plain sight of Travelnest who should hang their heads in shame for taking the word of a crook over mine.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION, TRAVELNEST, I DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY AND YOU ARE CHOOSING TO TAKE THE WORD OF A LIAR AND A CROOK WHO IS USING IT AS AN EXCUSE TO ALSO CONFORM TO BEING THE THIEF THAT HE ALSO IS! THAT MAKES YOU ONE AND THE SAME AS HIM!
I am now out of pocket by nearly £300 not to mention what I should be paid for the stress that was caused to me by my making the mistake of booking the accommodation in question which was one of the worst experiences of my life.
If you value your sanity, then do not give this sorry excuse for whatever it is, the time of day.

I wouldn’t recommend …

If you’re hosting your property please stay away from using this company.

Absolutely terrible service I agreed a price per night they took it upon themselves to add a smart pricing which resulted in my bookings being sold to cheap. They need to remember host have overheads and mortgages to cover but they don’t care they get there cancellation fees and practically give you the middle finger.

John cairns and victor macias Lari were the 2 people I dealt with and as soon as I started having problems they didn’t want to hear it.

Honestly work directly with air BnB and booking.com it’s much cheaper.

This service really isn't needed at…

This service really isn't needed at all. If you use a channel manager and just make listings yourself you will get the exact same thing. They do not respond to messages or do anything extra. This service is honestly just a waste of 5% of your income. Their "smart pricing" is not great. Pricelabs would be a better move for cheaper. Their phone application takes 3 mimutes to open, so if theres an emergency snd you want to respond using your phone. Be patient about it. I have decided to cancel as its a waste of money

Beware, it’s not as good as it looks. A terrible experience.

I booked the apartment via Booking.com and have left my review on their site. Please refer to my comments/feedback about my stay via their platform.
Please note, the description Travelnest provided about the apartment is not accurate. You need to communicate to the owners that maintenance and improvement should be undertaken.
Further, your advice states that a security deposit is only required for 2 nights (midweek) or less. Our booking was for 3 nights and Emmanuel (the owner/contact/manager) of the property insisted we pay directly to him the security deposit, or we would not be handed the keys and we would not receive a refund. This is despite us staying 3 nights and receiving advice from Booking.com NOT to pay to a third party. As international tourists without a UK bank account it is extremely to transfer money and Emmanuel could not or would not provide an alternative payment option. He was quite awful today deal with.

This is ironic as I still haven't…

This is ironic as I still haven't received my £650 security deposit back. Everybody blaming each other. I will never use this service again.

Complicated and lengthy account closing process

I placed my rental property on TravelNest 2 years ago and pretty soon got a booking for 7 days. This booking was done months in advance which created for me serious issue of breaking my other bookings (not from TravelNest) which started coming in later. Fair enough - not their fault. I decided to close my listing nd rely exclusively on my own channels. And here is where the problems started. Closing account turned out to be a long procedure with numerous e-mail exchange sessions and phone calls. It took me many months to finally reach my aim and cancel my listing. My general conclusion - poor service and unnecessary bureaucracy/complications in resolving seemingly simple matter.

Very unfair to hosts

Very unfair to hosts, I manage some properties for people and sometimes the owner stays at the properties they live in. I blocked out dates while the owner was planning on staying at their property, human error I missed a day out of 3 months I blocked out of the bookingscalendar. A guest booked that date, this was a booking 6 months down the line. I contacted the guest informing them that the property would not be available and to cancel the booking and find alternative accommodation. Travel nest decided to bill me £160 plus vat total of £191 for a booking that the guest would of paid £87 for. They have not budged and say that it will cost them money. I also had a property owner decide to sell their property and I no longer can host scheduled bookings this information was given to me January I have informed 20 plus bookings of the situation and 90% understood and politely cancelled their bookings and found alternative accommodation. Travel nest have billed me over £1000 for informing guests that I no longer manage the property, this is because the other 10% had spoke with Travel nest. Please bare in mind most of these bookings are June,July&August. When I first hosted they was great but not anymore they do not want to look after hosts.. avoid!

Details and photos in the listing are false, travelnest unresponsive to messages

The property that I booked via booking.com is clearly advertised as being a 1-bedroom house and states that I would have the whole place to myself. It also mentions other features such as a garden and a balcony with sea-view. On arrival at the property I found that what was offered is a room in a 3-bedroom shared house; the bathroom is shared with another couple staying in the house. There is no garden, no balcony and no sea view. None of the photos in the listing are of the house that I am staying in. They are clearly all from the house next door, also owned by the same host, which is much more attractive. I took up the issue with the host, who has blamed travelnest for the inaccuracies in the listing, stating that travelnest created a false listing using his photos. I emailed travelnest to try to address the issue but they haven’t replied.

Don't bother using Booking.com or Travelnest

At least these reviewers had the chance to stay in the accomodation.

Full amount paid, no refunds.
Contacted the host telephone number 14th Jan 2026, after not receiving an email or any contact a week before the occupancy. The txt did not send to the number, tried ringing, no reply. Contacted customer service number provided, agent from Travelnest answered. Could hardly hear him or understand what he was saying, kids shouting in the background, plus his accent, hard to comprehend. Relayed my concerns about been unable to contact host, he said " you will receive a communication a week before ", this was 2 days before. Told him I'd rang the number, no reply, he said I will give them a ring, whilst on hold. He came back saying he was unable to contact them either. He proceeded to say you will receive contact from the host, after he has sent an email to them. He continued to read his script and asked if there was anything else he could help with, what can you say. Thursday 15th January 2026, I received two generic emails from Booking.com and Travelnest, with no definite confirmation from the host. Bearing in mind the full amount had been taken from my card of £508.75, in January 2025 and no guarantee of a property to occupy. I had train tickets booked and tickets bought for Alexandra Palace, in preparation. Iam not happy with the service provided and professionalism of associated parties involved. I look forward to your investigation of these matters and await your reply. SCAM is the word of the day.
Would not use Booking.com or Travelnest again. Will be telling this story on any social media platform I use.
