Ordered two Bold suitcases worth $300 each. One arrived defective. My first experience with customer support was insulting. He offered me 15% off my NEXT purchase as a show of “good will.” I was offer... See more

I bought a new luggage bag from them 18 months ago, and I registered the product within 2 days of purchase. Only a handful of trips later, a wheel broke off. I contacted their warranty department, and after completing 3 rounds of information, photos, etc, they approved the claim... and then charged me over $25 shipping to have a replacement sent. I even offered them less expensive replacement options, but they refused. I don't think you should call it a warranty when at the end of the day your customers will have to pay to get their products fixed.

I purchased a travelpro pathways 3 piece luggage set in February 2026. In June one of the zippers fell off the bag and it could not be locked. I contacted the warranty department and the replacement that they sent me was smaller than my original suitcase and very flimsy. When contacting them regarding my replacement suitcase they basically blew me off and said that they didn’t have to replace it with the same suitcase. I would at least expect it to be of the same size and quality. I will never purchase another suitcase from Travelpro.

I purchased new Travel pro luggage that, overall, seems great. However, the website would not allow me to register the purchase. After trying a couple of times over a couple of days, I called the customer service number and they were utterly useless. We ended up creating a service ticket - just to register the warranty. To date, I have not succeeded in getting the purchase registered.

Bought the large Versa Pack softside luggage on sale. The only color on sale was the light blue but now that I have it I can live with it for the price. It's a very well made luggage and appears very durable. I have owned other travelpro bags and have had good experiences with the quality and expect the same from this bag.

Do not buy- waste of money. I purchased a PilotAir Elite bag and wheel broke after 5 uses. I was not concerned as I knew TravelPro had a 10 year warranty. Boy was I wrong! While they acknowledged the damage they told me that the wheel replacement was not “in stock”, which they control, and they could not fix. I offered to return the bag in trade for a replacement per the warranty. They told me the warranty is “limited” and offered me a 15% discount on a new bag. Their warranty is a scam. They do not stand behind their product. While all the customer service people were nice and professional they refused to replace the defective bag. The warranty is useless and a bag should hold up much longer than mine did. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON TRAVELPRO PRODUCTS!!
Has been several weeks since Travelpro offered to be in touch to resolve. NO contact has been made. They just want the goodwill of posting that. Ridiculous.

After reading plenty of glowing reviews about Travelpro’s quality and lifetime warranty, I decided to splurge on a Platinum Elite luggage set (carry-on and medium check-in). It was $750+ (which is a lot for me). But I figured it was a worthy lifetime investment.
However, when the luggage set showed up, the cartons were opened and one of the suitcases was unzipped and expanded and gave the distinct impression that it had been opened before. For $750+, I expect a brand new product in a properly sealed carton (a perfectly reasonable expectation).
I reached out to customer service and provided some requested pictures, just to have them dismiss it as “minor cosmetic damage” and suggest I just keep it. I know Travelpro’s warranty is great but I should not have to wonder if I need to take advantage of it immediately upon delivery. It looks like they don’t do exchanges but rather I have to return it and rebuy. They have kept silent on whether they will honor the original price I paid (I bought during their Memorial Day sale).
UPDATE: They refuse to provide a discount code so that I am not screwed over by their poor quality control. What a terrible way to treat customers who spend their hard-earned money with Travelpro.

Travelpro customer service is great. They replaced my two year old luggage due to a faulty wheel. I really appreciated that. The luggage went through about 15 trips so I was glad to get it resolved so quickly.

I’ve purchased several Travelpro suitcases over the years, but their warranty service has completely changed my view of the brand. The retractable handle on one bag failed internally, which is a clear mechanical defect, and Travelpro refused to honor the warranty even after admitting they do not have the parts to repair it. Instead of repairing or replacing the suitcase, they kept offering escalating discount codes and avoided addressing the actual problem. This has been a very disappointing experience for a loyal customer. Buyers should know that the warranty may not mean much when you actually need it.

The luggage is incredibly well thought out for the needs of a traveler with carry on. Well made. Good follow up for damage. Website provides in depth info. Very nice selection. Plus IT LOOKS GREAT!

Bought a Maxlite Air Hardside in Nov 2024.
A wheel detached after three trips. Travelpro first denied the claim as "normal wear and tear" — despite their own warranty page listing wheels as covered and defining excluded wear as "abrasions, scratches, dents or stains."
After I cited the warranty, they approved a replacement but demanded a $50 shipping fee. Their published warranty says plainly: "Travelpro will cover the expense of shipping the repaired or replacement bag back to you."
When I pointed this out, the rationale shifted again — first blamed on "Trusted Companion" coverage, then on a "one-year shipping" rule that appears nowhere in the written warranty.
Three shifting justifications, each contradicting the warranty Travelpro publishes on its own website. I own three of their bags, all bought because of the lifetime warranty.
Buy elsewhere if the warranty matters to you.

Travelpro has some shady business practices. I recently ordered a final sale platinum elite carry on. I ordered this on a Friday, and the shipping info said I would receive it the following Wednesday. After receiving a confirmation email and several other automated messages about my shipment being processed, I received an email that my order was cancelled due to lack of stock, one day before I was supposed to receive my order. Now I am scrambling to find a new bag before a trip next week and all travelpro offered is a small discount code, which gets their bags nowhere near the price of the one I originally ordered. Frustrating experience and poor business.

Travelpro’s website will absolutely not allow me to write a review even though I bought through their website and I’m a verified customer. I now believe their high reviews are deceptive. I clicked on the email link they sent, I tried their website. Nothing. Impossible to review so here’s my review on this public website: Their platinum elite business laptop backpack, which cost $245, arrived with a lopsided logo. Normally I don’t care about those little things but for $245 that is a serious quality control issue because it’s so obvious and it cheapens an expensive bag. To top it off, it says customer service will help you with an exchange, but they don’t do exchanges. You have to buy it again and return the other one. To top it off, I believe the review process is deceptive.I’m really not happy with them.
Edit 5/29: they replied below, so if anyone reads this, it would look like they possibly reached out, but they did not, even though I gave them the information they asked for.

Got maybe too big a suitcase for the international trip but this rolls easily and the recessed wheels are what I wanted as well as hardside. I bought direct. We are happy with the purchase. This wheeled luggage easily holds enough for 2 people for 4 nights. For just me, I put 2 weeks warm Auturmn clothing and 2 different coats in it and only used the hotel's dry clean service for only a couple things on the trip. Only thing with this style luggage is take note that it opens clam shell and European boutique hotels often do not have the space for it to remain open for use during your stay. A suitace this big (not the largest) is used only for longer trips so unpack and use the wardrobe.

After speaking with a customer service rep on the purchase of a suitcase for my daughters birthday, I feel I purchased the right one for her travel needs. I will once again review after her first trip next week!

TERRIBLE return process and I am still waiting for my refund with no confirmed timelines.
The luggage arrived and frankly looked cheap so I submitted the return request and they did not auto generate the return label! I then called support where they asked me for a PICTURE that the luggage is still unworn.
Sorry this never happened for any other brands and already a red flag.
Magdalena was also quite abrupt on the phone and not someone I would place dealing with customers in general.
I followed the process, sent the bag and emailed her back asking for timelines over a week later. She just gave a generic robotic answer with NO timelines on when the refund will be issued.
I do NOT recommend this company to anyone and I’m now $300 at lost still!!

After a extremely disappointing start Mr. Fuente took a personal interest in my case. It looked like my complaint would be resolved, but when the new suitcase arrived it had the same issue. A big disappointment again!
After sending another email to customer support I almost immediately received a new shipment notification. And this time..... they shipped the right suitcase!! It must have cost them a fortune to get me the right suitcase, so I thank you for solving my complaints.

I hope you're not buying Travelpro for their Lifetime guarantee. I have a bag that is 20 years old that was bought because of a lifetime guarantee. I contacted Travelpro to get a handle fixed and they said they wont repair my suitcase because it is no longer in production and they no longer have the parts. Apparently lifetime means only if they have parts.

After navigating some issues with customer service on a warranty issue, customer service did the right thing and agreed to replace the luggage in question. I am completely satisfied with their response. This is our third piece of Travelpro luggage. I’d buy Travelpro again. They stand behind their product.
