They’re a scam

They’re a scam, which surprised me since I booked with them through the Telstra app. It was just as expensive as booking through Virgin website, but the Virgin website was glitchy on my iPhone and wouldn’t let me do it, and I thought “at least I get Telstra points”, but they booked me on this cheap option that doesn’t let me take luggage - I’m not a business person going for 1 day, of course I want luggage! Virgin Australia could only sell me additional baggage, at a cost of $82 per person per way, costing me an extra $454! making my ticket now a lot more expensive than if I’d just booked through Virgin. I tried calling TRAVLA to get my tickets fixed, I got someone on the phone who struggled to understand anything I said (I speak English with an Australian accent) and had no idea if this could be fixed or how. The unprofessionalism coming from this guy left me convinced I was talking to someone running his businesses from his basement. When they did get back to me it was to say “we only offer the lowest rate, which in many cases is excluding luggage. When booking if a fare includes checked baggage the baggage allowance will be displayed”. Why would anyone assume that a lack of baggage information means you don’t have the right to take any baggage?! This us such a scam. Save your money people, book only with the airline. You’ll save hundreds, these guys are charletons and it has destroyed my faith in Telstra as a company that they do business with them. This is the last time I ever book anything through Telstra, or TRAVLA
