are treads shoes still going as i cant seeem to order anything on the site, like its broken down or its fake??

Been trying to order but unsuccessful csnt order online or over phone emails csnt be sent .. so take it company no longer trading !
Such a shame as shoes are brilliant !!

Im gutted to see treads no longer trade. Excellent service always.
I have bought my son who has extremely wide feet, school shoes here for the last 2 years, and the last pair lasted him the whole year, that has never happened. Not looking forward to searching the shops and paying a fortune in Adult priced shoes.

Best shoes I ever bought for any of my 4 children and they actually lasted along time. Came to find more for the return to school to find they dont exist anymore very sad about that and will now have to hunt for somewhere else

Best shoes I've ever bought for my children, no doubt about it.
The school shoes miraculously still look fantastic after a year, comfortable, dry and durable.
They were an absolute bargain too- cheaper than most decent brands and far better quality.
I just came to buy more for next years size- really, really sad to see they aren't trading.

I have two children one got bought Treads and one Tesco last year on return to school.Tesco just holding together but look ready for bin and treads still look a week old?

Excellent company. I wish to buy the shoes from them again. Unfortunately no longer exist.

Such a shame to read all these poor reviews about Treads. We used them for about 3 years and the product and customer service was excellent so what has happened? From reading reviews they have been taken over and are just not providing anything like the service Treads used to. Can’t comment on the product but we won’t be purchasing from them due to the reviews. Very sad and disappointed.

Still not had refunded almost 2 weeks now. The company has gone BUSTED..

I ordered shoes at the end of August, they arrived quickly but even though I’d checked sizes they were MASSIVE. I followed the return guidance on the website and returned them. They were collected on 2nd SEPTEMBER.

Despite numerous calls and messages I am still waiting for a refund nearly 3 weeks later. I was told it was 3-5 days after they received the shoes. Someone else told me 7 days after receipt. Yesterday I finally got an email to say my card had been refunded, but still NO MONEY in my account from Treads.

Poor company and service! Ordered school shoes, pay £ 4.99 for next day delivery. Receive my order after 4 days. When I ask for delivery cost return, not answering! On website shoes looks more nicely. In real - looks like I take safety shoes for kids - very massive , uncomfortable and heavy ! For return need wait how minimum - 3 weeks! Bad, bad, very bad.....

Still waiting for shoes to be despatched after 1 week. No communication. Used company last year quick despatch.

Ordered on Wed paying £4.99 next day delivery. Children went back to school Friday.
It is now Tuesday evening and my order has STILL not arrived, despite various emails (that will be answered in 3 working days… what use is that??) then every time you reply to the email, the 3 working days start again.
Phoned them only to find the call cost me £10. Emailed asking for a refund of next day delivery and the call costs… they offered me £1 refund for the calls.

Ordered on the 29th August, received an email on the 6th September saying i was getting a refund as they are out of stock. Bit late to now go shopping for school shoes.

They might be great shoes but the need to arrive in order to now that.
Terrible service, pay extra for next day delivery and then never hear anything and can't get through to anyone in customer service.

Treads used to be a small owner run company and we have been really happy with the construction and durability of the shoes and customer service in the last 2 years.

However it seems that they have been sold to a company called BVG group who also have a shocking trust pilot rating and their poor customer service is now damaging any good reputation that Treads had.

We ordered two pairs, got one correct and another wrong size and style. Customer services impenetrable and 2 weeks later (now 3 days before term starts again) we are told that the shoes we ordered and paid for are sold out. Our only choices in the right size are shoes we don’t like. Very poor service which is sad as it seriously lets down a good product (although we can’t confirm that’s still the case as we haven’t got our shoes!!)

Only buy if you’re prepared to Risk having to run the customer service gauntlet when they mess up your order.

I ordered a pair of shoes from treads after reading a thread from a mum online about them being indestructible.
I paid for next day delivery.
I received no issues and sizing was great.
The shoes look durable and hard waring.
I only came across bad reviews when I came to write this.
My experience has been great!

Ordered kids shoes paying more for next day delivery which it now appears to mean nothing. They turned up 5 days later and told that next day doesn't really mean next day more a case of the next day after two tomorrows a full moon and an equinox has passed. Which I am guessing will be the same matrix for the refund we were promised for the next day postage. Shoe measuring tool meant all I now need is a red nose and some spotty trousers rather than the school uniform for the kids. Called and spoke to the less than interested CS staff member who said due to the fact they had now realised they never delivered next day had been removed. They couldn't replace them in time for school so now we are left searching for school shoes last minute. What a shambles maybe pay less for online marketing and more for staff who care and use a next day delivery courier like DPD magic a good business. Hopefully will get the refund in time for the kids to start university but as they are nearly 7 that might be optimistic.

Excellent shoes let down by terrible service. I have used this company for years and really rate the shoes for durability, but will not be using then again.

Long story cut short, I ordered before the end of summer term, my kids start back this week and I have no shoes and no refund.

Customer services seems to be subcontracted out and it is impossible to speak to a manager.

I would have actually given this company no stars for customer Service but not the option. I order 2 pairs if shoes using the online measuring guide. One was to small and narrow the other was to big and very wide. Raised a return as instructed and using the returns label issued. Waited 14 days no refund. Was going to call customer services but it a premium rate number so emailed instead. They advised no record of the returns. Had to send my proof of returns receipt. Then was told to wait a further 5 days to receive my refund. Again no refund. After several more emails and more confirmation I will be getting a refund nothing. Raised a dispute with PayPal and finally recieved my money. Avoid this company.....
