Cancelled within the hour, hit with an invented $35 "processing fee", still no refund

I placed an order with Tribu Spirit for two products (two hapés) and cancelled it almost immediately, within the hour, long before anything was shipped. I wrote to them the same evening with a polite email apologizing for placing the order in error.

Their customer support, Diana, answered the next day that they were "not responsible for my mistake." Their exact words: "We are not responsible for your mistake. It cost us money to process your order with our payment processor... To now refund your payment it will cost us $35." Because I declined their store credit, my refund of $101.43 USD would be cut by $35 — a so-called processing fee that appears nowhere in my invoice and nowhere in their published policies. I have never in my life seen a $35 processing fee. Real card processing costs a few dollars. This is a penalty invented after the fact, charged on an order that was cancelled before it was ever processed or shipped.

And as of today, I still have not received any refund at all.

This company markets itself as a spiritual, mindful, healing business. What I experienced was the opposite: no humanity, no compassion, no accountability — just a rude message and an invented charge. A business built on sacred medicine and indigenous traditions should hold itself to a higher standard than this. It is a great shame.

Beware before you order: if anything goes wrong, this is how you will be treated.
