Really poor customer care / avoid this company

Really poor customer care. Left whole street in Hertford without gas with no information or feedback over night. There are new families without heating and water. And this lack of consideration to not report over running works is extremely poor. This simply shouldn’t happen and puts people at risk.

Apart from the poor work around the…

Apart from the poor work around the pipework and moving of the gas meter. I question the intelligence arrogance manners and pure lack of customer care of the workmen.. they questioned if one house had gas when quite clearly there was a gas disc by the door. One referred to me as "mate" a number of times during a conversation. One huffed and puffed and said it's the worst property I have ever done. Another remarked on things inside my home. And broke confidentially by telling me about a patient on the hospital ward his wife worked on!! Smoking near a no smoking sign. Not taking shoes off when entering property.lack of information on what was happening. Leaving a van overnight on the road outside the front window of a elderly housebound lady. So she couldn't see anything. Was asked to move it but it didn't happen. Barriers left in driveways no idea when will be removed . The whole experience was a total shambles.

Theve spoilt the look of the front of…

Theve spoilt the look of the front of my bungalow proberly devalueing it. by putting a copper pipe up the front and along the bottom facing wall also putting a large gas metre box on the front of the wall,they could have put the box and nearer the edge . Cutting concrete in drive is not straight terrible job also put up barriers around hole saying no smoking yet one workmen was smoking .

Has to be the worst gas main…

Has to be the worst gas main replacement company. Were do I start Absolute shambles start to finish, trash your street, pull water mains out, smash the drainage thats in place all ready, spit an swear outside windows. No walkways or footpath closures, Concreting looks like its been done by children! Customer resolution wow the only thing they resolve is how to be rude! An know absolutely nothing about the job there undertaking. You will have no choice when these monkeys turn up as 2 days notice is the normal for them! If your lucky. hope everyone here has a better experience. But looking on there reviews more than likely you wont! Good luck

Main gas replacement
The staff were courteous, helpful and approachable. When I informed them I have a disabled child in the house, the works were completed in a school day for my property. Part of my pathway had to be lifted, and the driveway dug up. I still had plenty of disabled access to my property around these holes, and they were filled and put back to the original aesthetics within a few days.
I know a lot of people have complained about the inconvenience, but it was unavoidable and not that much of a problem to work around them.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE ANYWHERE NEAR…

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR PROPERTY. My street has been in utter chaos for weeks with very little work actually being done. I went out to work this morning with a beautiful block paved driveway and perfectly working gas supply. I have come home to a disaster. They have come onto my property without permission and dug a huge hole in my driveway, and placed a massive brown plastic eyesore of a box right outside my front door because they say they couldn't get access to my existing gas meter, yet they have drilled a hole through the wall exactly where the meter was located ???. I have now been told that coincidentally I have a massive gas leak, but it has nothing to do with them and must have already been there (surely we would have smelled gas ??). They have now left site and left me with no heating or cooking facilities and informed me that it is my responsibility to pay for a gas engineer to come to locate the leak, rectify it and connect the supply. Don't bother trying to contact this shambles of a have been holding on to speak to someone for 45 minutes and am still fourth in the queue. Utterly disgusted.

Main gas line replacement.

Quite possibly one of the worst customer service. Having a gas line replaced, they had to shut my gas off, which is fair enough, however upon returning home from work the gas is still off and no workmen in sight...

Only to phone up the helpline and be told someone will ring me and give me an ETA of when someone will be here to reconnect.
It’s current 4:30am and dropped down to -1°c and our gas is yet to be switched on.

We had been left no heaters or any means of warmth and no letters saying the gas would be off over night, despite an engineer telling me that it’ll be in by the evening. Yet to await the next day but to be promised gas to be turned on so you you can have a shower, cook and keep warm, and it still not to be on throughout the night is appalling.

I made a complaint about poor work to…

I made a complaint about poor work to reinstate my path and a driver triio-cadent employed to do works on my street (gasco) one of the workman reversed in to our car. I have called triio 4 times on 4 consecutive days each time being told I would be contacted on that day, after day three I asked to speak to a manager. I was told they would sort the issue while I was on the phone, they didn't! I was assured I would be contacted "again" I wasn't. Terrible experience and customer service

Absolute Cowboys

Absolute Cowboys, ruined the front of my house which is going to need repainting, laid a concrete section on the pathway (which butts up to my house) when it was raining and as a consequence the concrete never set properly, it is basically powdery now and is going to need to be relaid, there was also no reinforcing of that concrete with aggregates either, you should be running stone throughout the concrete too, the thickness of the concrete that they have laid is not indicative of that which they removed, these lot cut corners, the gas pipe and its sealing attachment which enters my house via a 40mm hole from the front of the property doesn't sit flush to the property wall, therefore leaving the outside and the inside of the building open to the elements, that pipe doesn't sit level itself either, concrete was splashed all up my property wall too hence the need for repainting, you could also see their hand prints on the wall, they have also left the bottom of my building exposed as they neglected to concrete that properly, basically you can see the brick work underground, they also left an old house open to the elements for weeks when we had heavy rain too, these lot seriously shouldn't be working on peoples properties, when it comes to old houses these lot are clueless, the work carried out by this outfit is substandard and that is putting it nicely, my complaint was closed without them rectifying all the faults even though a Manager said they would so i had to re open it and complain further as the more work these lot do the worse it gets, the Management in charge of the gangs in my area are clearly useless themselves and seem to care as little as the workers as they are letting this standard of work carry on, one of the gang bosses just walked straight in my house, no knock or anything just straight in unannounced, then there's the colourful language that emanates from the said geezers gob, and its not quiet either, and these people are representatives of Cadent and Triio, I have no faith in any of them, I literally could have carried out a higher standard of work than these lot, they need to be on Watchdog they are that good!! I also had to sweep away (as have my neighbours) all the excess cement, tar, rubble, sand, type 2 that had been left outside my property and in the gutter outside my property as these lot do not clear up after themselves, i shouldn't have to be carrying out their remedial work or indeed be paying for the remedial work to be carried out, my neighbours have been affected too and are disgusted in the way that my property has been left, what a shower this group is.

We'll see what happens with my complaints to which i shall report back...

Incompetent and inconsiderate

They've been working on my street with a half month delay. They switched off the gas in my house on Thursday morning (it's Monday here already). Tried to get in touch with them on Friday and when they finally called Saturday they said they won't be able to switch the gas back on until Monday morning(today). Two of the workers arrived today at 9am, looked puzzled that we didn't have a gas and said they'd be back shortly. 3 hours later and still no gas. I'm pretty sure they messed up something with the pipeline.
To make matters worse there are a pregnant woman and a kid in the house. With 5th day in a row of not having an access to hot water. That's unacceptable.

Copper Pipe replacement handling - compliant number 157584

Following my compliant regarding the current gas pipe replacement project being conducted on Francis Avenue and Nicholas Close with Cadent's strategic partner Triio. My complaint was regarding the copper piping which was installed on my property WITHOUT my consent or knowledge on 22nd June. The majority of the piping running all around my front door to the back of my property is not even servicing gas supply to my flat, it serves gas to the flat below me 26 Francis Avenue.

Its been over a week now and I am still pending a resolution. This needs to be removed as soon as possible and an alternative solution sought for the gas supply to my neighbour 26 Francis Avenue. I am very unhappy that such an action has be carried out on Friday 22nd June without any notification or permission from me as it is currently depreciating my property, causing me unnecessary stress and is unacceptable that my property should be marred with gas piping that isn't supplying my property but someone else namely 26 Francis Avenue. It is unacceptable to leave my property in this situation, poor planning, poor project management, poor communication, poor customer care.

triio move meter to unacceptable place

Had triio replace the gas mains service they moved my meter from the original position next to the wall in the cupboard underneath my stairs to the middle of the floor underneath the stairs! Leaving massive holes in the floor and a moving floorboard which is not only heath a safety hazard but we also have a problem with rats on the street this is now allowing then to come into my home through the massive holes in the floor!

I complained that day to the engineer but nothing was done which left me to call the customer service next day, in which they told me they would be able to resolve the problem and move the meter to outside and they would get the site manager to look at it ASAP, as they where still working in my road KLT supervisor said they would move it the following week called on the Friday to confirm.

Tuesday came and o what a surprise it’s was not booked in! Apparently even tho the person from triio had first agreed that it was not in the right place after going to talk to an engineer I was then then told no it was not going to be moved as it was to standards!

I complained again this time the site manager came to look and again he agreed that it was not acceptable and I was told that it could be moved outside and that he would speak to them and get it moved. Then after a week I received a letter saying that they are not going to move the meter!

As mentioned previously they have left massive holes in my floor and uneven floor boards that are definitely a heath and safety issue that I can’t move as they have fixed the meter to the floor! Totally unbelievable and unacceptable service from this company I was told that it wouldn’t affect my home and it has iv now found rat droppings under the stairs due to the massive holes in the floor and at not happy I would like some answers and a response to this and resolution for the damage they have done to my property!

This company has got to be the worst…

This company has got to be the worst gas company! 4 weeks I have had on going gas work outside my house, blocking traffic with traffic lights and their vehicles blocking the roads for cars struggling to get by. They cut my gas supply pipe, I was out of gas for over 24 hours, being pregnant and having a toddler this was not convenient. Not only that they have dug massive holes in my front garden and have cornered it off with their building materials and it has been there for nearly 3 weeks having been told it would be fixed within 2 days. Their customer service is appalling, and I have constantly had to follow up this company with their false promises, and the stress they are putting me under while pregnant is unexceptionable!! And I will be going to the ombudsman.
