UNACCEPTABLE COMPANY!!
Trip advisor refuses to publish my GENUINE review about Youth Station Hostel - Rome and as it seems, they refuse to publish every negative review about this hostel acting in their favor without any excuse!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Stayed at Hotel Dino in Bavena Northern Italy, a four star hotel
which was beautiful but on arrival I was given room key which didnt work, I took it back down to reception and they did something with it, I returned to the room only to find a half naked man in bed who was as shocked as my self, I returned to reception and after phone calls qand shuffling papers it apprears no one knew he was staying an extra night, I was then given another room key and unfortunately after paying over £400 single suppliament found it was a single room ( very disapointing ) but put up with it. On day two I was in the bathroom only to find black insects coming out from between tiles, no appology just sent house keeping up , they were still there all week I kept reporting it and cleaners said had sorted it, I even shared the shower with them !!!! and they could swim what ever they were. Very disapointing for a 4 * rated hotel. All week we were sitting outside to eat breakfast and on last two days a nasty head waiter stopped us going out and was rud just saying Group and pointing to a table or two, the same waiter night before said I hadnt any wine to come out to the table when I could actually see it on the table near the kitchen, he was rude and kept insisting I hadnt any wine or water, when I had purchased the two on the first evening, I was just about to go and help my self when a young waiter brought the water, I told him I had wine, but some one else brought it to my table.

Un'idea brillante!!!
This website is trying to prevent free speech
This website is trying to prevent free speech. I’ve been posting a review about a 5* hotel in London and it’s obvious to me that TripAdvisor is NOT neutral here as they are clearly being paid by the hotel, as they removed my review over and over after I amended though from beginning it never broke any guidelines, my review was neutral and professional. “We believe in the right to write” lol well only if it adds to tripadvisor making money otherwise reviews being shut down what a utter farce
An irreplaceable tool, but needs more control to be 100% reliable
Tripadvisor is an irreplaceable tool to organize vacations. This is indubitable. The easyness to find such an amount of suggestions on any kind of offer is the very heart of the matter. However, it is increasingly difficult to move between reviews, recognizing the trustworthy to the other, sometimes fake or paid. I set my method, of course, but sometimes it takes too much time to finally take a decision. What I suggest is to encrease the control capacity of the administrators on any single review and, the most important, be more strict on the award assigning to operators. My job consists in running test and I know this matter very well. It is always difficult to give a rating to someone that pays you, but I believe a certain balance point it is achieveable.
It helps A LOT
It helps A LOT. Typically every time I am in a new area, before eating, looking for an accommodation, deciding my vacation time, hints on what to do and see, I use TripAdvisor over and over again.
The best way to use this tool is to select your query sorted by the period of the year you are planning your visits and reading comments in different languages. You'd be surprised to see how different an average opinion could be based on the cultural backgrounds.

I often use Tripadvisor to find a choose a restaurant or hotel when travelling; most of the time I have been satisfied with my choice. The only thing I really do not understand with Tripadvisor is what all my accumulated my points are good for??

The best website ever
I have been using Tripadvisor for the last 6 years, so from the moment I first took my first flight overseas. Since I am a big foodie, before I actually plan a holiday I first check Tripadvisor for suggestions and check whether or not there is much to do and, especially, to eat in that particular destination. I enjoy reading other people's reviews, so that I know more or less what to expect, and I am happy to help others find great places I have been to.
I could not imagine myself going somewhere blindly without Tripadvisor's help.

mega hard landing in Napoli...bella Italia.
for a couple of breath intakes i thought: that was it...lifewise. a sharp pain in my right elbow turned out to be a huge bruise followed by a bump caused by a multiple blow when shassi hit!!! twice the ground landing in Napoli. while heading to the door i wanted to have a word with an attendant. he sais that he was sorry and put my name down.
jet2.com reps on the bus turned out to be more sensitive to my NEEDS...pains aggrivated and i was unable to collect my luggage.my partner had to do the job all by himself: 4 pieces of luggage had to be pushed to the bus. one of the reps...i do not remember his name...bless him...reacted immediately to my condition si that by the time i got in the transfer bus, ice cubes in glass had been delivered to be given to me. thank you, my saviour. i never saw this italian chap again.thank you my anonymous hero!
later not a single time did anyone of the crew members from Jet2.com contact me. i am not dead - so what's the point?!?
though i have been flying for over 40 years, this last flight is the flight of a kind! ironically, 2 h prior to our flight from Stansted to Napoli, we had paid for an upgrade to have more legroom: not knowing that a short!!! 1/3 of the arm-rest was nearly going to break my elbow joint.
The world's premier travel site is 1st in promoting CRUELTY ON ANIMALS ... JUST FOR FUN!!!! SHAME ON YOU. WILL NEVER USE YOU ANYMORE.
As the world’s premier travel site, TripAdvisor’s continued promotion of facilities offering animal attractions like elephant rides and wild animal selfies is unacceptable. It helps unscrupulous traders profit from cruelty, and misleads people into believing that wild animal interactions are just ‘harmless fun’.
