I'm a returning customer. This time I bought an orange filter for my Olympus Trip 35. The filter is brand new and the quality is great. It was dispatched quickly and arrived very well packaged. Would highly recommend tripman.co.uk - a great place to buy accessories for Trip 35.

So should you buy an Olympus Trip?
'Yes, absolutely'. It's an awesome iconic camera, tiny, tough, simple and with a superb lens. It's light enough to carry around with you, and also heavy enough to make it feel like a real camera. You can Google until your heart's content about the Trip, its history, the build, the lens or that curious array of selenium cells around the lens. There's no shortage of articles about this gorgeous, capable little cult classic.

Should you buy from Trip Man?

If you're anything like me, when you're looking for something 'specific', then you want to find a specialist.

When I purchased my Olympus Trip, it was so well refurbished, that whenever people saw it they assumed it was 'new'. You would honestly struggle to find a single dent, scratch or any obvious signs that this camera was 40 years old. The metal casing and the leather wrap are nearly perfect.

As they've gained popularity, there's no shortage of places where you can buy a Trip (and you can pay as little as you dare). However, during my search, I found that very few sellers had refurbished the cameras themselves or had the confidence to stand by their workmanship with a 12-month (no quibbles) warranty.

It's refreshing in this day and age to know that you're dealing with an actual person. The same person who sold you your Trip also refurbished your Trip. I recently noticed the ASA ring had begun to loosen and move. I emailed Paul and got an immediate reply. It was under warranty so I sent it in for a service and before I could email him to check he'd received the camera, he'd replied saying it had been fixed and was sending it back. I couldn't have been happier.

Trustpilot need an extra star for these rare cases – I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

But do yourself a favour – buy one from the Trip Man.

I was recommended Trip Man in my research on the Trip 35, and how Paul is renowned for lovingly restoring these wonderful pieces of technology.

I immediately looked upon the website, and was delighted! The ‘site alone confirms Paul’s dedication to the camera and photography. The news section is full of enthralling stories that are sure to spark inspiration!

I moved onto the shop, where I found the (now my) Trip 35 in a tan finish. Each camera showcased is well described with its own back story. Honestly I was already sold by this point, but I was further reassured by the description along side a warranty.

The ordering process was straight forward, with the ‘site sporting a wide range of payment options - I went with Apple Pay. The tracking was accurate and the camera arrived in good order.

Now comes the twist in the tale. In my testing I managed to jam the shutter mechanism - definitely a me issue, not the camera! Nonetheless, I reached out to Paul via his contact page where I explained my predicament. He was very quick to respond, and was more than happy to fix the camera for me as it was under warranty. In a very short turnaround I had the camera back with a complimentary roll of film to cover the cost of postage - that was a really nice touch, and a testament to his dedication and care.

Now I’m off for a family weekend away, Trip 35 in hand! I can’t recommend Trip Man enough. He is your go-to for all things Trip 35!

Im so impressed with the service i received. My camera took 2 days to arrive and the restoration that has been done to it is impeccable. It looks like it just rolled off the factory line. And the fact it comes with a 12 month warranty is a HUGE PLUS! I'm so glad I chose Trip Man for the purchase of my first analog camera. I can't recommend them enough.

I contacted Paul about repairing, renovating and refreshing a Trip 35 so that it could be given as a gift to my daughter.

Paul was helpful and easy to deal with from start to finish. I knew that there was probably more than one fault with the camera but the whole process was fixed price so no nasty surprises and the camera was returned in stunning, fully functioning condition complete with new leather binding in a colour I chose. To top is off there's a 12 month warranty included!

I could not be happier with the work done and the service received, and after experiencing the work that Trip Man has done I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Sent a Trip35 off for servicing (badly broken after an attempted DIY). It'snow as good as the day it rolled off the assembly line.
Great communication, and they even threw in a wrist strap.
