Con artist at their best!
We have few holiday let properties and Trivago called to say how good exposure they get etc. The sales guy coaxed us into joining, which we did as it was the start of our holiday let business. But once money taken from credit card, no one at Trivago would take ownership of problems encountered with their flaky software platform - it went on for months. Emails sent to Trivago never gets any reply. I called few months back to cancel the Pro Hotel crap platform which I have been they will cancel it. But heyho, just received a renewal invoice charged. When I called Trivago, they said they never received any call from me, and still checking.
More like a snake oil company that does not apart from sweet talks of empty promises.
AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE!
Warning!! Do not use
Misleading, purposely misleading and trap you in an annual contract. Customer service is unhelpful. Will not be using again
Extremely bad !!
Extremely bad !!! Beware hoteliers - this is a scam !!!
I had tried the pro subscription for a year on one property and it didn’t bring me anything !!!
Until one day one of the advisors decided to ring me and con me into going in for another year and putting the rest of my properties on for £2500. I asked them specifically what will I gain ?
They said they will set up the profile , link the website , make translations and set up the profile to maximise views. This was in December 2017, to which I said ok .
So I paid the amount and got in running and we are now on April 2018 and guess what no one has been in touch ? My profile is still not finished , and even worse when I called they operator told me that I only paid £2500 to have my details ( phone , email address on their site )
I have emailed , called and nothing , no one gets back to you.
When I called today I said want to cancel and get a refund . The advisor clicked on the cancel subscription but only after clicking he said to me that I won’t get any refund.
I haven’t even used the service ??? How can I not get a refund ???
That is outrageous , the service / product they sell
Is not FIT FOR PURPOSE and against the SALES OF GOODS ACT IN THE UK. !!
Someone needs to put this forward to the news or watchdog !!
I have never seen such a scam!!
Bullies and con artists
We are new to hospitality business. Having taken what sounded like a helpful call from Trivago to set us up completely, we've ended up clicking a button that immediately put us on a contract with them for a year (this wasn't clear and wasn't explained over the telephone). I was just following instructions click here click there sort of thing not thinking it through! Now, we are getting very direct phone calls on behalf of Trivago with a very much finger pointing attitude. I worked in credit control previously but we never ever talked to our customers as such - literally a form of verbal bullying. What they don't realise is that by forcing us to make payment in such manner, they are actually tarnishing their reputation and losing potential future business. I won't be recommending them or using them ever again. I will in fact terminate our account immediately which I have.
