Wrong room information and no meaningful customer support
I booked two rooms through Trivago DEALS, but the information sent to the hotel does not match what I actually booked. I reserved two double rooms, but Trivago DEALS reported them to the hotel as single rooms. The hotel states that it cannot modify the booking details received from the booking provider.
The hotel has suggested that I cancel and make a new reservation directly with them; however, my current booking is non-refundable, which creates the risk that I could end up paying twice.
I have tried contacting Trivago DEALS by both phone and email, but it is impossible to reach a real person—only an automated bot responds. I have submitted a complaint and requested to speak with a human, but so far, I have received no response or satisfactory solution.
I would NEVER book through trivago DEALS again.

Bait and switch tactics
I tried to book hotel on trivago web site and was not allowed to book it so had call in to office and the agent tried to book me into same hotel at much higher price per night as the lower price was not available . I considered this a bait and switch tactic so i went to another web site and booked my hotel for a lower price or one that was similar to trivago website that was mysteriously not available. Wont be using this trivago site again.

I wanted to book the Paris casino. A deal kept coming up for it but when I tried to book, it said the deal expired. If I refresh my screen, that deal should disappear.

Some Suprises...
On a recent roadtrip we were charged on one rez an "additional 3rd party" booking fee when we arrived at a Holiday Inn even though our Trivago rez confirmation stated all paid in full and never mentioned that as a potential additional cost. The next night we reserved a room at a Hampton when we arrived we were given an ADA accessible room. We said we did not request one but reception clerk said that's what the rez stated from Trivago. But overall the booking experience was good.

You booked a room in a hotel that had no availability. It was syressful enpugh as a late flight was cancelled so had limited time to check in to any alternative hotel. Absolutely shocking will never use again.
