I have bought a Contitech timing belt…
I have bought a Contitech timing belt kit. It was installed in official VW service. Only after about 10000km the VW service found out that water pump was leaking.
Needless to say Trodo customer service was wasting my time. I sent them the copies of the investigation report and receipts for installation and removal of the pump from the official VW service. Next thing Trodo ask was "Please take a photos where exactly there was a leak, and the pump itself from all sides. We need to see its condition and preferably a gasket, and understand where it leaked."
How can I know where it leaked. It was VW service which determined the issue. I also fail to understand how photos can show anything for a minor leak. It is just smoke and mirrors for trying to find reasons to avoid refunding.
I can tell that the cost of this part is now much more than the original VW part. Because of the time I had to spend on this issue + I needed to pay installation again.

I would have given 5 starts if not Trodo would keep the promised shipping date.
When checking / buying the parts it is shown if something is in stock and it is shown that when in stock that it will leave this and this day.
It never does! Don't promise something if you can't / won't keep it.

I ordered a spare part for my car. Trodo "specialists" checked that it will fit in. After receiving the part it was sent to garage with my car. There was no such part existing in my car at all. Trodo refused to take back the part because package was opened. How can you check or see what is inside if you do not open the package and check the part? Terrible customer service, do not buy anything from them!!!

If the product manufacturer has a placed seal to the product, or product package, (like it is common in electric components) it cannot be resold to another customer, and therefore unfortunately cannot be refunded.
