Misleading Promo Structure That Can Increase Your Total

I had a frustrating experience with their promo code almost costing me more than their normal pricing. I was purchasing some bundles (a frame and backdrops), it was a decent deal and I got a free gift for over $1000 order. A pop-up offered me 10% off my first order, sure why not. The email with the code linked to the bundles already in my cart. At checkout, applying the 10% code removed the bundle pricing and the "free" from the free gift, it remained in the cart as a paid item, which is not expected from something advertised as free.

When I contacted them to let them know, they said they designed it that way so gifts and discounts can't stack. I suggested adding a clear note on their website so customers understand this upfront, but they declined.

I would recommend others check their totals carefully, as the pricing can change significantly depending on which promotion is applied.
