Visited this place for a birthday meal, and all I can say is... I loved it the food was delicious the cocktails were so yummy and above all else the service was perfect the waiters were so friendly and even went out of their way to help us find some candles for the birthday cake, could not fault the waiters what so ever super friendly service 5 stars

Customer service needs improvement

Firstly like to say I did not eat there.
8 of us booked couple weeks in advance to go here last Saturday only to hear on the day when we're there it was closed for essential maintenance which is fair enough but someone give me a call at least nobody got in touch and we drove 2 hours to get there from Staffordshire as its the closest one to us all about the customer service if I had a call saying sorry things have happened I wouldn't be writing this very disappointing.

Polite untrained servers ,but misogynistic manager

Dreadful from start to finish . The staff were new and it was clear they received no training but that is clearly managements fault ,When they got it wrong which they did from the lack of training they were spoken too in a disparaging condescending patronising and threatening manner by a rude arrogant obnoxious misogynist. This was in clear view , upsetting to see and quite unacceptable in 2021. I requested to the waitress, he not come to my table even to ask was everything ok , which he did not and on this occasion thankfully.. He was intimidating and domineering , with the archaic manner and ignorance which showed his obvious lack of education. The untrained staff were polite and apologetic but clearly brow beaten by this bald bully. He should be fired instantly. This overshadowed greatly the bad service and the below average food. I understand now the many poor reviews this place has and in my 30 years in the catering industry i can spot the issue within minutes , the manager .Drop this angry man and bring a happy vibe to this dismal atmosphere ,i feel sorry for the staff , with some training and encouragement this place may improve trade and reviews but for now it is as i say dreadful. service food atmosphere and management need an overhaul. For me and my three friends , NEVER AGAIN.!! RE:reply it is testimony to my review that indeed the ignorance and lack of education i cited is indeed very real and the reply does nothing but enforce the factual account i have made . The excuses given by this excuse for a manager is indeed a poor tradesman blaming his tools , i can only suggest higher management review this maverick novice who clearly has anger issues and he should seek help for that as well , an embarrassment to reds true barbecue, and certainly no ambassador for their value of their flagging reputation.

Nottingham restaurant incompetent

Went to Nottingham restaurant Friday 9th October only to be told by the receptionist that each member of the party needed to scan the QR code as part of the NHS track and trace. My wife had already scanned us in, however he insisted that both myself and our 14 year old son also scanned in. When I informed him that I did not have my phone with me, nor did my son, he refused us access. What an idiot, the business will fail. This is the first and last time in will go to this chain. No wonder the reviews are so bad with such poor regard to customers. So without a smart phone DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO TO THE NOTTINGHAM RESTAURANT.
We subsequently went across the road to a lovely Italian restaurant, where my wife scanned us in as the lead member of our family to fully comply with the restaurant and current Covid 19 which we fully respect.

Poor customer service was top of the…

Poor customer service was top of the Menu. Never tried it before so booked a reservation. Walked through the door and the reception we received from the waiter was so bad we walked back out!

The food tasted great honestly however..

Went to the Newcastle branch. The menu prices are misleading- specifically of the sharing platter. My friends and I were charged the price of 1 sharing platter each!

I also have lactose/soya intolerance. There was no visible allergy menu or sign on the table/menu and before I even got back home I was experiencing the worst cramps/doubled over in pain so it must’ve contained milk!?

Liverpool restaurant is a joke

What an absolute of a joke of a restaurant. We went here tonight for my birthday. It was my first visit and I can say for sure I will not be going back. Our table was booked for 7:15. It started poorly when there was a large list of items that they did not have available. It took the guy 30 minutes to take our order then a further 45 minute wait for starters. When they did arrive they were wrong! At 9:15 we enquired about our main course and they said they would check. I used to be a Hospitality GM and the service here was dire. The manager, if thats what she was, took her time to even come to our table. When we questioned her on how long food would be she said there was another table before us and that it would be about another 20 mins. Overall it was a massive disappointment and I will make sure I let everyone know how bad it is.
You do not even get 1/5 it was that bad.
Absolute disgrace of a restaurant!

Great Nottingham restaurant!

I’ve been several times to the Nottingham restaurant and the food has, each time, been amazing! The staff have also been brilliant. It would be good if the reward/loyalty scheme was sorted out... seem to be moving from an old paper based system (now no longer used) to an online system and the card never seems available; at the Nottingham branch anyway.
In summary, really great food, really great staff and a great location — for the Nottingham restaurant, which is the one that I’ve been to.
