I recently purchased three dresses from…

I recently purchased three dresses from TrueBrowns last week, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

All three dresses arrived in poor condition. They were not properly ironed and appeared as though they had been previously used. The finishing and fabric quality were not up to the standard shown on the website. The products looked significantly different from the display images.

Additionally, although I ordered size Large, two of the dresses received were labelled Large but measured closer to XXL in actual fit. The sizing was clearly inconsistent.

When I contacted customer support for an exchange or return, I was informed that these items were “non-exchangeable and non-returnable.” Despite this, I provided detailed explanations, measurements, and more than 4–5 photographs as requested by their representative. I spent considerable time trying to clarify the issue.

I was told I would receive a response within 24 hours. Instead, I received a reply after three days, stating that the products could not be exchanged or returned and implying that I should have checked before ordering.

As a customer, I expect accountability when the issue involves:
• Incorrect sizing
• Poor finishing
• Products not matching website images

The refusal to take responsibility, even after clear evidence was provided, was deeply disappointing.

Based on this experience, I will not be ordering from TrueBrowns again. I hope the brand improves its quality control and customer service policies so that other customers do not go through the same frustration.

TrueBrowns - CHEAT AND POOR QUALITY

TrueBrowns totally aims to cheat and mislead its customers. I ordered 2 items from them after carefully reading their return terms. It clearly mentioned that SOME items in sales are non-returnable and same would be highlighted for respective item. and it was not mentioned for 2 articles i ordered. Now they are using a blanket statement of Sales item cant be returned. On sharing the screenshot of their items, the support staff mentioned that these are new terms were not valid when i ordered. The quality is so bad and sub-standard that it is not possible to even use them. I wish i had read the reviews. PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM TRUEBROWNS. THEY CHEAT THE CUSTOMERS.

I ordered form them 3 suits and they sent only 2 pieces and have been asking to share video unboxing the package. If you try to reach them they dont take calls and whats support is AI basically no response . I clarified to them that I have received open parcel and 1 pieces is missing in it. I shared the picture of parcel with them. But they have still no processed the refund. Even the 2 suits received the quality is very very cheap n bad. So don't go on ther name it very expensive and bad quality clothes and they scam you.

Defective substandard product

When you purchase from a brand like True Brown, you expect a certain standard — quality control, consistency, and reliability. Unfortunately, I learnt the hard way that a well-known name doesn’t always guarantee quality. I had bought a co-ord set earlier and absolutely loved it, which is why I confidently went ahead and ordered an anarkali.

The disappointment came later. I wore it a few weeks after receiving it, and to my shock, the dress tore right at the back. I was disheartened, but since it was new and I loved the silhouette, I went ahead and darned it, hoping it was a one-off issue.

Fast forward to a few weeks later — I wore it casually to a friend’s house, and to my utter embarrassment, it tore again. That’s when I realised the issue wasn’t accidental — the fabric itself was defective. It felt like an old batch of material that had been sitting in storage far too long. Even the slightest stretch caused it to tear like paper.

So here’s my advice: if you do plan on buying from them, check your product thoroughly and wear it as soon as you can — because if something goes wrong, don’t expect the brand to take accountability. They don’t seem too keen on addressing the real issue: substandard material and lack of quality control.

The service is horrible

The service is horrible. I ordered a blouse for Rs 1749 and I got a ring of same worth. I had saved a screenshot of my cart before paying. I forgot to check my email they said I have ordered a ring , when the product arrived it was a ring costing the same price as the blouse. I told the team it’s technical error with their website and the backend they have taken the order for a wrong product. They disagreed and were not even ready to investigate. If I ordered incorrectly the price of the blouse and ring is the same. This is scam

Great brand - don't understand the bad reviews

I really don't understand the bad reviews for the brand. They have excellent designs in vibrant colors and the fabric quality is great for the price. They run good sales too. If the fabric is cared for as per their instructions, it stays good. I have also never faced an issue with their customer service. Online returns are super easy within the time frame. This is one of my favorite brands.

The Trueborwns company is terrible at…

The Trueborwns company is terrible at customer service! I have had an issue with their tailoring for the second time now. It does not matter if you inform them within 7 days after recieving the product. They will ask for pictures as if they care. Then they will reply:
"We would like to inform you that the product is not defective. We kindly suggest having it altered by your local tailor to address the fitting issues you are experiencing." So now to fix their mistakes, I will literraly have to pay for it. If you inform them after 7 days, then they will say it is too late. So either way, customer will always be at loss.
Be warned, do NOT waste your money as the quality is okay and not the best either.

Every stuff was dam cheap.. not worth a single penny.. and also when once Dey send me pyjama set and dat set was without pyjama.. and when I tried contacted dem they are only asking me time n days. No one is there to resolve the issue. Company with no ethics and only fraud things they are carrying

I ordered from this company and I received clothing with holes in the fabric. I reached out to them even sending them pictures of the packaging and the holes in the clothing. The tags were still on the item also. I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. Fine. The quality, workmanship, and customer service are sub-par. I'm just so glad to know this before investing large amounts of money in their products. While these items photograph well, they are not indicative of what is actually being sent out. BEWARE!

UK AND USA: AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

PLEASE, if you are in the UK or USA, do not do what I did and purchase from this company. TRUE BROWNS DO NOT provide a refund if your package is lost in transit, even if you have proof of postage and tracking.

My experience was awful. The clothing is very cheap quality and not worth the £50+ price tag (which explains why the company has low/no interactions Instagram). I followed the returns procedure and requested a return via email and WhatsApp. In my correspondence, I noted that others have had their returns packages lost within the Indian postal system, and refunds refused. I asked for confirmation that I would be provided a refund if I provided shipping proof. True Browns will only provide a refund if the package reaches their warehouse. As a customer, therefore, you will:

1. Have no refund.
2. Have paid expensive shipping and customs back to India.
3. Be without your package.

This is extremely poor business from True Browns. WHAT’S EVEN WORSE, because they (Shoaib) clearly didn’t want to deal with my awkward questions, Shoaib asked why I was requesting a return. When I said the sizing was not accurate and quality poor, he claimed that my return request is rejected. I HAD TO SEND A SCREENSHOT OF THEIR WEBSITE (RETURNS) TO SHOW THAT NO WHERE DOES IT SAY YOU MAY BE REFUSED A REFUND. After admitting that he made up a rule on the spot, he confirmed I can make a return.

I can show you screenshots of my WhatsApp and emails with this company (please message me if you’d like to see), but please for the love of god, save your money and go somewhere else with better international business practices. You just have to look at the other reviews on this website to see that everyone internationally agrees!

What’s even funnier is that they’ve amended the wording on their website for international returns and shipping. If you’d like to see my screenshot of what the website said 3 days ago, and compare it to what it says now, let me know girls!

Very disappointed in their customer…

Very disappointed in their customer service. I bought 2 outfits and the sizes were extremely small. I emailed them within 7 days of receiving the outfits (7 days was within their policy), and they asked me a few questions but by the time I got back to them, it was passed 7 days. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. The photos of the outfit show they have never been worn.

Never buying from there again.

Poor quality, no returns or refunds

I ordered a kurta set from this so called “ethical” company. The quality of the item was so poor and it had holes on the kurti. Then they advised they don’t accept returns. Nor will they refund. This company is duping customers internationally- DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
