We started working with Peter Esper back in January, and our entire experience has been phenomenal. We're returning Canadians, and he helped us navigate the nuances of our credit history being predominately international. We had a long close period - which ended up being during Covid - and Peter was in constant contact, keeping is reassured that the pandemic hadn't impacted our loan. He also managed to get us a ridiculously awesome rate on a 5-year fixed (even our lawyer was impressed by the rate!)

Peter Esper was very helpful and responsive to any questions or requests that I had in what was a long search for a home. He got me a better rate than I could get elsewhere as well as cash back when the deal was complete!

Peter did a great job helping us purchase a home in the midst of changing rates and the Covid crisis. He was always responsive, got us a better rate twice when rates changed quickly and helped us through a delayed closing (due to municipal, Covid issues). Hiren is excellent to work with. His response time in getting back to me throughout the process was great. I had some questions as we went thru things and he got back to me promptly. Prior to working with Hiren I was using the bank's rep and the communication/response time was terrible. I stopped using the bank. Highly recommend Hiren!

While we have never met him personally, we chose to work with Peter Esper strictly online. His level of personal service exceeded what we expect from the major banks. We were very satisfied with True North's level of service when we initially bought our home five years ago. Upon our renewal, it was a no brainer to return to True North. Peter's professionalism and availability is what makes True North stand out from the competition. For many of us, a mortgage is a major expenditure and Peter knows that. He was always available to answer any calls or emails well outside of business hours. He answered the most simple questions quickly and effectively. Knowing the mortgage funding process very well, he understood the borrowing rate was on a decline. As the market rate dropped regularly, Peter made four different revisions to our renewal at no cost or obligation to us. This was all completed well before our original mortgage matured. Each revision had with a better rate - which he guaranteed until the maturity date. We have no hesitation in recommending True North and specifically Peter to our friends and colleagues. This review is a bit overdue, but I had a very positive experience working (and continuing to work) with Peter Esper. Mortgage was up for renewal and decided to explore my options outside the big banks. What was most impressive was the SPEED of response and customer service. Peter was (and is) so quick to respond to any question or consideration regarding initial mortgage setup and future service inquiries - I have never received that level of personalized service from any big bank. I would definitely recommend Peter!

Peter Esper from True North Mortgage took the time to answer all of my questions and guided us through the process of renewing our mortgage. He even went out of his way to get our property tax statement, saving me the time and energy. I check everywhere for the lowest rate possible and True North Mortgage was able to provide me with it. Its a shame my old lender still has not figured out what customer loyalty and service really mean. I really appreciate the great customer service. Thanks again Peter.

Shout out to Peter Esper for helping us successfully switch our mortgage provider. The rate I got was in line with other mortgage brokers for the same term but the difference with Peter / True North was the exceptional service. Peter made the entire process completely EFFORTLESS for us. Zero stress during the entire process, everything was accomplished easily via emails, he was professional with a no nonsense & straight to the point approach, always responded to my emails in less then an hour and gave status updates along the way. We are very happy with Peter & TNM and will return next time we need a mortgage without a doubt!
