RUN! Equity Trust has held our money for months and keeps finding reason after reason not to release it. My mother passed away and I am Trust Protector of the trust which was listed on my mom's ROTH as the beneficiary.

It has been almost 6 months since my mother passed away and I have jumped through every hoop and sent them every form, document, photo, etc that they have requested.

The trust has lost almost $12K because I could make the investments I desired because they won't release the money. We are now filing a small claims suit.

For everyone on here who has had a problem... You should file a small claims suit as it is cheap and easy. You may not recover everything, but hopefully you can at least recoup some of your losses. And when you win, be sure to post it on the internet as a photo on Yelp, Google or anywhere people can see it so they are warned.

I assisted a client in rolling over some of her retirement account through Advantage Gold. Advantage Gold told us they use Equity Trust for precious metal storage. We completed the transaction, but now Advantage Gold and Equity Trust cannot be reached. There was a required minimum distribution due last year. We cannot get either Advantage Gold or Equity Trust to respond. My client has trouble using her computer, and so she cannot set up her online account. Equity Trust will not assist her and cannot be reached by phone.

1. When I transferred my $33,000 ROTH IRA into Equity Trust and went on their site, it only showed $21,000. Evidently because it's the SPOT/MELT price. There is no way to find out the actual value except to call Rosland Capital and take their word for it. They won't give me a screen print of whatever they are looking at to arrive at these figures.

2. $350 per year storage fee - not told ahead of time.

3. Gold has risen $500 and ounce since I opened my account with Equity Trust about a year ago and my portfolio keeps going lower. There are thousands of dollars that are unaccounted for.

All I want is to cut my losses and get away from these people but I've heard horror stories about cashing out.

I have been in communication with Equity Trust Help for weeks now ; every time I reply to the same email I get a different person. I started the total withdrawal process the other day - before any more money disappears. When I opened my account with Equity Trust on 4/18/2024, gold was about $2,000, silver $21. When I placed the cash out order on 9/5/2024 gold was about $2,517 an ounce, silver $28. And I incurred a $2,500 loss. How can I have lost so much money when gold and silver prices have risen so dramatically?

Generally satisfied with my experience However I have a question that no one seems to be able to answer
I own a rental property 50% in my IRA and 50% in my personal account My question is .... If I take a total distribution and the I own 100% in my personal acct
1. I will pay taxes on my IRA distribution Yes?
2 When I sell the property years from now do I then pay capital gains on the full amount of the sale?
( as I laready paid tax on IRA distribtion)
Any advise will be appreciated

Bad communication. Fees are high. $250 Fee to cancel. They give you the wine and dine when you first invest.

Have spent three weeks trying to get my phone number changed so I can access my account. Sent the information requested only to receive another email requesting the same information. Speaking to anyone only results in "I will pass this information onto the department who make these changes." It's not rocket science and should not take three weeks.

I have no faith in Equity Trust and as someone else stated, "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing."

Unfortunately, I feel like my concern has fallen on deaf ears and the company does not want me as a client. I will begin the process with Birch Gold to liquidate my assets with this company and return the money to my annuity with another company.

They keep on changing people, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Asked me for the same documents three or four times, even after I sent them. Took weeks to enable a simple transaction.

Totally incompetent. 2nd call today to get them to finish paperwork. On hold over a half hour then disconnected. This call was to get them to finish their part of the paperwork from 45 days ago. They already paid the seller (I'm the buyer) and they haven't completed their part of the documents. Contacting them by email takes 2-3 weeks to get a response.

Most of the people who has raised concerns regarding this company this.appear to be assisting you in making wiser financial decisions, but in reality, they will deprive you of everything. Arvellaforte corrected the problem with great effectiveness after doing their due diligence to re-coup backu. Even though it was not an experience I would want on anybody, I am happy to have survived and will be more cautious going forward when it comes to "opportunities" I seize. Wishing this aids those in need.

They are blocking access to $85k of my money, they are impossible to reach on the phone, do not respond to emails. I have been trying to get my money for a month, 10 days ago they said this would all be finished in five business days, now they are leaning towards me never getting my money at all. For this I paid to expedite service.

I started the process to get my metals back in march 2024. Charged me over 40ü.00 and still no metal. Spoke with multiple people, incompetence. Try someone you can trust. Good reviews to start up, but horrible reviews if you actually want YOUR metal. Beware!

Upon closing my precious metals IRA account, several exorbitant fees appeared on my account. It cost me over $500 to close my account. Among the charges was a $250 charge for paperwork. This charge is in addition to the $100+ annual custodian fee. Avoid this company!!

Customer service is horrible. After doing 3 docu sign documents and hours on the phone, they still can't seem to disburse my money into my bank account. I'm trying to figure out where to complain about my missing funds. Sure wish I had had some say in where my account was stored. American Hartford Gold set this up and I'm very upset.

Awful company. Liquidated my crypto, cost me 4k in losses, and then charged me again to move my money out. Stay away from Equity Trust.

Received fees on March 21 for $19 and $60. I believe these were because I prefer to get paper statements and they want to disincentive this. I worry that if I am in a car accident or something and my family inherits my finances and investments, they may not be able to figure out dual identification passcodes, so I want hardcopies mailed. The push for paperless and the fear of identity theft have gone way too far.

This company is only out for themselves. Outrageous fees, Customer NO-service, and a cumbersome web process. I needed to buy a property fast so I went with the company at the top of my search. I wish I had read a few reviews. JUST SAY NO to Equity Trust.

Looks like I'm in the same boat as all the other reviews that was overcharged fees. At this point I just want to untangle myself from this company. Don't invest here!
